I haven't had WesTex connect in years so when I had $75.66 taken out of my account on a Saturday, I…read morecalled Monday morning and was told all the details - name address, different card used the previous months to pay this person's internet (all on-line pmts!) and this was just probably a mistake on their customers part so they would call her and since it was still pending, it wouldn't go thru. It did! When I called back, the billing supervisor told me I could dispute it with my bank - I already did and apparently they disputed my dispute!! She said because it was used as an online payment, they would do nothing about it!! Are they THAT desperate for money??? Customer service sucks as bad as their internet service!! The address they gave me for the person using my card for an on line internet payment isn't even a valid address! Its a field just outside Sweetwater. And I sure can't find the person who uses multiple names on that account! The weird part is one name used is my husbands Aunt who has been dead for years and we had no connections to her in over 40 years!!

Switched to Dish Net. BAD! After 60 days they took their equipment home, could not make their system work. Now comes WesTex Connect. Showed on time, worked placement to make wife happy. Stayed with me till all units, computers were up and running! It is super fast, just loaded my college course online for Wednesday and it was quick, and painless. Very nice folks, great installers. Very Happy Camper here!! 5 Stars!!

I was not happy with their service, customer service or policies…read more I feel like their policies do not take care of the consumer trying to establish a good internet connection, test their equipment as per their guidance or see if the service will work. It did not work for me because I have "double pane" windows. I cancelled the service and was unable to get a refund for a 300 Gb plan when less than 50 GB was used. I feel the less than 50 GB used was part of the "set up" process the company asks you to follow and set my family up for failure. I posted an original reply here and contacted BBB. Then was threatened with a lawsuit for slander. I changed my reply to only reflect the facts and how I felt dealing with this organization. The truth is, I think the service and company are trash and will not be intimidated by their threats. The 1st Amendment and anti-SLAPP laws protect me from their vial threats and intimidation. I do not recommend them for use. Advise you to conduct research on other companies and their guarantees. I found one from TX that works and had exceptional customer service. They continue to threaten legal action, lie about me contacting them and have had this review removed once already. Shameful. I do not expect a refund or any additional "action" from them. Just for the truth to be out there to help others looking for rural internet.

May be useful for rural areas that have a good cellular connection. I asked to cancel. They sent me a long winded email basically begging me to stay. I basically told them it was pathetic to beg. Customer service is the worst. They came out to bury the fiber, I told them I wanted it 6 inches…read moredown so when I aerate my lawn the fiber line would not be damaged. They only we down maybe 2 inches. I called to have the bury it deeper and all I got was a run around. I told them that when I aerate and the fiber line is cut all the repairs are on them not me. Update Customer service called and had 3 techs out within an hour, they reburied the fiber line to the depth needed. It took a lot to get it done and thankfully they finally responded.

If you're considering switching to Fiber First, my advice is simple: wait (or better yet, don't)…read more The sales process was polished. Everything that followed was the exact opposite. We were promised faster speeds, a static IP, and a lower monthly bill. Since both my wife and I work from home, we specifically requested a Saturday installation to avoid interrupting our jobs. The installation never happened. The installer couldn't complete the work because of a conduit blockage. Two days later, a construction crew arrived, never knocked on the door, never explained what they were doing, trenched through my front yard, and cut my existing internet line while I was in a Zoom meeting with my employer and my wife was teaching a live online nationwide class to 1000+ people. Our internet went down instantly...and remained down for days. My wife then unexpectedly encountered a worker inside our fenced backyard because no one had informed us they needed access. He could not communicate with us in our preferred language. The crew left. No installation. No internet. A trench through my yard. Then the phone calls began. More than 20 calls later, the answers rarely changed: "It's been escalated." "Someone will call you." "A contractor will be there in 10-14 days." Those promises came and went. The salesperson told me to purchase a specific router before installation. The installer later told me it wouldn't work and had to loan me another router instead. As I write this review, the temporary cable is still laying across my yard. The one exception was Laura in customer service, who actually took ownership of the situation. Without her, I honestly don't know if we'd even have internet today. What frustrates me most isn't that mistakes were made. It's that fixing those mistakes became my responsibility. Every meaningful update required another phone call from me. Every promised deadline passed. Multiple appointments set only for them to "no call, no show". Every step forward seemed to require the customer to push the process along. There was no meaningful apology, no service credit, no discounts, and no acknowledgment of the disruption to our jobs, our property, or our time. A company should be judged not by how aggressively it sells its service, but by how it responds when things go wrong. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Fiber First.

Now we have internet. For future reference Taylor telecom... just communicate. We went thru that storm. We understand the far spread damage and understand it may take days but also understand we have broken fences, missing barns, damaged roofs, neighbors in distress... we just need honest and open COMMUNICATION. Waited weeks for them to arrive to put in our internet. They broke the main waterline going to our house. Took weeks and several phone calls before they completed fixing the waterline. Everything was going ok, had to reset the box weekly, but not terrible. Had a big storm in the area and called to tell them that our internet was out, figured their equipment got fried somewhere. They said "yes it's an outage, be patient, we have crews out working on it". Waited thru the weekend with no communication and still no internet. We call back on Monday "oh there's not an outage, there's just a lot of people with problems but since there's no ticket your not even in line to get fixed" they finally made a ticket and promised someone would call because there are people working thru the holiday. We call back again "oh no one will call you today it's a holiday". Taylor communication is the worst at communicating with each other let alone their customers. Not a terrible service until the slightest hiccup happens then you will not get any reliable information and certainly not the service your are paying for.
