I'm switching to Dish Hughes Net even though it's a bit more expensive. Don't waste your money.

Most of use had Rise (line of sight) connections that were spotty and very unreliable. Nextlink showed up and put in high speed cables and everyone was pleased with them and I switched over as nearly everyone else. Well, the install was poor and I'm on the 100mbps plan and the best I can get is 30-60mbps, which I'm still happy with. However the worst I get is 1mbps and it frequently just drops to zero for no apparent reason. Over the last 4 years I've had about 4 techs come out and evaluate and finally switch out all the surface equipment. It's comical how one tech can say the previous one didn't know what they are doing. I have close to 50 submitted tickets. Still unresolved. I should have cancelled but there is no alternative. I think they put in the bare minimum of infrastructure and got over subscribed. The NextDoor App even had a Nextlink Rep on there promoting the first year, but has since closed his account due to backlash. This company only exists until someone else comes along. Y'all can come back & pick them up later this afternoon we did that the only thing is the only option was shipping only . On 2/15/26 we were outside when UPS delivered 1 small box containing the items to return the trade-in Phone just 1. my husband contacted Verizon through the chat & let them know that we both had received text messages saying that our phones had been delivered, but that we did not receive our phones that we only received the 1 box containing the trade-in item. The lady that my husband spoke to said that she would open a ticket that it would take 48 hours on Monday we hadn't heard anything so I reached out to them. They wouldnt speak to me telling me that they would only speak to the account older, which I am a manager on the account, but they would only speak to the account older. My husband works overnights & he was asleep. I explained this to them, & I explained that I was a manager on the account that they could speak to me, but she would not speak to me, so I then had to later. Wake my husband up & tell him this so that he could then try to speak to them through the chat again & they told him that the 1st person had put the ticket on hold. They didn't know why the ticket had been put on hold, but that they had to open a new ticket & it would then take another 48 hours by Wednesday I had enough I called. I had to speak to 3 different people to finally speak to a supervisor all 3 people had to have my husband say I could speak to them. He had to give them permission for me to speak to them, even though I am a manager on there. Finally, I spoke to a supervisor explain the situation explain how long it had been taken. Keep in mind that on Friday the 13th we have paid $259.41 for sales tax & fees for these phones & haven't received nothing & all of the time they kept asking are you sure you didnt receive these phones? No, we didn't receive the phones so she then was trying to re-order the phones, but said because the ticket was attached to the missing phones she was gonna have to have ordering help replace the order. Then the next thing you know after 2 1/2 hours on the phone with her, some guy was on the phone she had been dropped off the phone. Her name was Sheena was the supervisor she had been dropped off the call & was the ordering guy & he had no clue how to get her back on the line & he disconnected the whole line so then I had to call back & finally EJ was able to re-put the order in for the phones without the promotion without the refund so I had to pay $198 for them to re-order the phones so that we could get the phones the next day on Thursday almost a week later in the store in the mall so I called Thursday & ask if the phones were ready some dude answered the phone. I gave him the order number he said yes the phones were ready so we went up there Brandy I know is smiling with greeting us with a big welcoming smile. I tell her we're there to pick up our phones. She said they don't have an order ready for us. She doesn't know why he told us. It just happens. Jaquees comes in about that time & she asked him to assist her in finding out what's going on with our order. They don't know why it's showing fraud. They can't release the order to us because it's showing fraud on their side so they need the order canceled so they have fraud department transfer him to another lady which this lady says she can't cancel the order. She doesn't have that authorization that it has to come from a higher authority so he then tells her then to please connect him to the supervisor & she sits there argues with him for at least 20 minutes & he tells her six different times please just let me speak to the supervisor you've already told me that you cannot assist me with this issue so please just connect me to your supervisor finally after almost 45 minutes. He advised multiple times that we move and complained about having to come out to our home on a Friday afternoon before Labor Day weekend. He even said that we owed him "a whiskey or something" and said that coming out to our street to help us and our neighbors is the worst. It's really not my problem if he doesn't like his job or enjoy the location of our home. He doesn't have to live here. And from now on, please do us all a favor and send someone else. Customer service is the worst. They came out to bury the fiber, I told them I wanted it 6 inches…read moredown so when I aerate my lawn the fiber line would not be damaged. They only we down maybe 2 inches. I called to have the bury it deeper and all I got was a run around. I told them that when I aerate and the fiber line is cut all the repairs are on them not me. Update Customer service called and had 3 techs out within an hour, they reburied the fiber line to the depth needed. It took a lot to get it done and thankfully they finally responded.

We were promised faster speeds, a static IP, and a lower monthly bill. Since both my wife and I work from home, we specifically requested a Saturday installation to avoid interrupting our jobs.The installation never happened. The installer couldn't complete the work because of a conduit blockage. Two days later, a construction crew arrived, never knocked on the door, never explained what they were doing, trenched through my front yard, and cut my existing internet line while I was in a Zoom meeting with my employer and my wife was teaching a live online nationwide class to 1000+ people. Our internet went down instantly...and remained down for days. My wife then unexpectedly encountered a worker inside our fenced backyard because no one had informed us they needed access. He could not communicate with us in our preferred language. The crew left. No installation. No internet. A trench through my yard. Then the phone calls began. More than 20 calls later, the answers rarely changed: "It's been escalated." "Someone will call you." "A contractor will be there in 10-14 days." Those promises came and went. The salesperson told me to purchase a specific router before installation. The installer later told me it wouldn't work and had to loan me another router instead. As I write this review, the temporary cable is still laying across my yard. The one exception was Laura in customer service, who actually took ownership of the situation. Without her, I honestly don't know if we'd even have internet today. What frustrates me most isn't that mistakes were made. It's that fixing those mistakes became my responsibility. Every meaningful update required another phone call from me. Every promised deadline passed. Multiple appointments set only for them to "no call, no show". Every step forward seemed to require the customer to push the process along. There was no meaningful apology, no service credit, no discounts, and no acknowledgment of the disruption to our jobs, our property, or our time. A company should be judged not by how aggressively it sells its service, but by how it responds when things go wrong. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Fiber First.
