They printed my book wrong with the Title of the back of the page also they charge you 40 dollars for every download pdf and i pay 40 dollars extra for print the pages right! almost 600.00 dollars( for 100 books) they printed the titles in the back of the page!! i paid them only for pagination they refused to print again. they messed up and refused to reprint. they make mistake and you paid. they have not respect for the author please i will like to safe you the nightmare i when threw. who print the title in the back of the page an imbecility, word. i WILL Suggest YOU GET ANOTHER PLACE to print you book !! i did few books 10 years with them, they just don't care is just about money read more

Excellent company! I found them to be incredibly supportive of my book project and willing to assist throughout the entire process. Additionally, their pricing structure saved me a significant sum of "greenbacks". I had received a quote of over $20 per book by a local, Atlanta,GA based company, primarily because my book also contained full-color images of some of my paintings. My initial run of 1,600 copies, through DiggyPod, came in at under $4 per unit. The quality of the finished product was exceptional. I am perplexed by "negative" reviews that complain about charges for certain services that are necessary for achieving the desired finished product. I found these charges to be nominal within the whole scheme of things. I guess some people expect everything to be "free" for them. I am currently working on a novel and a book of short stories. I look forward to working with DiggyPod on these projects as well! I like that they are a US based company, and that should you have any questions throughout the developmental process, you can converse with a "real person", who is both professional and receptive to your needs! My project was a sort of family history/scrapbook for a reunion. Starting with zero experience I found the sample book they send you in the mail to be incredibly helpful to just let one experience basics like paper quality and cover weight. I will admit I struggled with the "how to" videos and concepts like font embedding - but the graphic artist helping me had no problems. And I want to give a shout out to Valerie and her teammates for being really patient and wonderfully encouraging and supportive. We were warned up front about the extra charge for a file review and in the end found it helped us get our act together to avoid further costs. read more

Avoid this company at all costs unless you are 100% a professional and are looking for low cost printing. They charge you $40 for every file review and DO NOT disclose they have a FREE tool that does this and a handy visual report that you can use. I had to make a total of 8 revisions - $40 * 8 is EXTRA $320 for a purchased print cost of $409. Okay place. My issue comes in with hidden fees. They charge for everything. My issue was that my file cover proof had a mysterious line in it. I had already paid for the $35.00 small file fix, but this wasn't covered under it. My customer service representative didn't tell me that. So they charged me an additional $40.00 to fix the cover file and I didn't even have the option to dodge the price by going with the original messed up file. Because according to them the $40.00 pays for them making an updated proof, which was delivered and had to be used whether I wanted it or not. Or I had to pay another $40.00 for them make another proof. In all fairness, they do mention that it costs to update proofs before you order, but in the time between submitting your original files and seeing the proofs, you never see this notice again and of course they aren't going to remind you about it before charging you for it. Not a bad place, and from the samples I've seen they do good work. You just have to be on your toes regarding the fees. read more

This company is really awful! DO NOT USE THEM! I tried to order 600 hard back books and was having difficulty using their interface. It took over a week to have someone call me back and they got very upset when I was just asking questions. Then the owner of the company, Tim Simpson, called me and was a total jerk! Great experience, work was done fast and efficently. If you follow their instructions (which admittedly can be cumbersome) you should have no problem. Suggest using their video tutorials and taking your time to read and get to know their processes before submitting your manuscript. My overall experience was very good. read more

i am here writing a review because i have yet to get a reponse from anyone afteri recieved my books and had a problem with the cover. when i first used this company in 2020 they were great, now they are disgusting a horrible! ive been two days since ive written them about what i dislike. i am very unhappy about how i am being treated. if you want people who care about customer service, this is the wrong company!!!!!!!! i do not recommend them at all, please find somewhere else!!!!!! read more

I have given DiggyPOD two print jobs in 2018 - one a 80 page and one a 350 page. As Annie G. said in her review - pay attention, follow the videos, take your time, talk with customer service and your printing will turn out fine. Yeah, maybe a little more Mac OS X friendly would be nice, but everything worked out fine for me. There was a real problem with my software reducing the file sizes on .PDF photo files. I talked with Apple Mac a couple of times and they were not able to resolve it either. But, the printed photos were fine for general use, but not really sharp for commercial use. This was NOT DiggyPOD's fault and I was advised well in advance. Both front and back cover images looked Great. Be sure to use their PDF file checker, it works great. My jobs were printed and shipped ahead of schedule, which may not be the case all of the time, so don't count on it. Customer Service, Valerie, helped me a lot. I'm going to use DiggyPOD again on my next project. read more

I ordered some books to be published on my mothers autobiography for her 90 birthday party. I was disappointed with the cover design. They state, in their policy, that the cover design will be in color, but only the title was in color. The photos on the front and back cover were in black and white, I ordered 24 books and asked for just a few extras to be done correctly with color. They refused to compromise at all. I would not recommend this publishing company. read more

I helped a friend 'publish' his 2nd book. Took me about ten minutes total on Amazon's Kindle Direct Publishing. And it's free service. DiggyPOD staff members were very nice and courteous. It was not a fun process however. I spent in excess of five hours working through all the kinks in the process. 1. Their formating system doesn't work with a Mac? Weird, huh? And the way you're supposed to learn that is to watch their videos? Not read the text directions or the little book they sent me in the USPS mail. 2. After I'd OK'd the original proofs, the author said he'd be willing to pay the $99 for a cover design. I'm an IT person; not a graphic designer and my cover was pretty ugly! 3. So we paid, I accepted the proof. Without noticing DiggyPOD's graphic designer forgot one small detail: the author's name. How can a book cover designer, working maybe five minutes to design a cover, forget the author's name? 4. I missed it in my proofing so he got to pay the $99 for nice cover without his name anywhere on it. 5. Llike many of the other reviews I've read about DiggyPOD, they did try to charge me the extra $40 for changes. Such as the one where I used their formatting program, saved my file and sent it to them, only to be told that it doesn't work for Macs? 6. I'll be happy to find another place to print his mini-novellas for the same price but with more reliable service. read more

I was totally clueless on how to publish a book. The website was very informative. When I had questions, the email response was very timely. DiggyPOD also gave ideas on how to promote my book. One suggestion for DiggyPOD, put your publishing name in the book. I found out that libraries need this, but also, the book came out so nice, I'm sure people will want to know who published it! read more

I decided to try this company to publish a small 33 pages book. Uploaded my designs into templates. Yes, just like other reviewers stated everywhere across different platforms, Mac is an issue here. This company is not exactly Mac-friendly. I ignored it. Paid $35 for them to make changes. Valerie was my assigned customer representative. From the beginning, as we communicated, it felt a bit tight, not super friendly. However, I thought, maybe it's just me, not hearing well. As they received files, I got notification with proofs. Super fast! Awesome! I called in to Valerie with a question about cover. She was very nice and it felt like we were working as a team. She assured me that all looked right, and said that if I approve, book can go into print before 2:00 pm on that day Tue. 7/18 and I will receive it by the end of next week. I told her to go ahead and print. Today I called in to check on the status of my project and see if it's possible to get the book into my hands by Wednesday, 7/26, since I am traveling out of state for a speaking gig, and wanted my book be ready for it. Apparently, they didn't even start printing my book, and claimed that I didn't approve it. Valerie was defensive and told me if I want my book by Thursday next week I'll have to pay $147 for shipping! The company just blamed me that it was my fault and that I didn't approve files. Valerie is not a customer service oriented representative and if she is a face of this company, they don't really care about their customers at all. After our conversation on the phone, I received an email with projected shipping date being 7/31/17. That's not delivery date! Delivery won't happen till 8/5, a week after my event. Not a slightest effort was made to keep a customer happy, to have a return customer and referrals. Will I be back? Unlikely. I am not saying anything about their quality of printing. I hope their quality of printing exceeds that of a customer service, and if it doesn't, it will be one expensive lesson to learn. I really suggest taking your business elsewhere, somewhere, where you are wanted. read more

Previously I self-published a novel at great expense. When considering publishing a book of poetry, DiggyPOD appealed to me because of the low cost. The negative reviews did concern me. Most mentioned the hidden or additional costs. After reading most of the reviews, I realized the additional costs seem to be the result of a lack of understanding of the process, mainly converting the document to a PDF format, and not realizing that DiggyPOD is a printer and not a publisher. I spent hours editing the book and learning how to convert to a PDF format. I recommend using the DiggyPOD format converter. Only after giving up on the Microsoft PDF converter and using the DiggyPOD software, was I successful in making the conversion. After PDF format completion, two phone calls to Diggy POD for help were required before uploading the book to be printed. The DiggyPOD personal were extremely helpful. From that point on, the process went smoothly and quickly. No additional or hidden costs were encountered. If you are able to do your own editing and are looking for an inexpensive way to print a book, I recommend DiggyPOD. read more

Caution! When filling out the "Price Calculator", DiggyPOD makes it look like shipping is covered. However, after getting my price and placing an order, I was billed an additional $52 for UPS Ground service - an exorbitant price for one box of 100 small books. When clicking on any other entry in the "Pricing Calculator", a cost is immediately added to the total price. When selecting UPS Ground as the most basic shipping option, nothing happens to the total, implying that the basic charge is included. However, as indicated above, the final bill I received had $52 added for shipping. Deceptive at best. read more

I am extremely satisfied with the my experience with my order with DiggyPod. Their website was easy and self explanatory to use. Their videos were helpful and easy to understand, and I was able to get my books ordered, published and delivered all in the same week which was a huge positive for me! I was extremely happy with the high quality at such a reasonable price for a little guy like me. As an extra note, before I finished my order, I had a couple of questions and called their customer service number. They were so gracious,professional, and helpful in clarifying my questions.
