Great service. Really nice people in a cool bohemian setting off Hwy 99. Love the artwork all over. The host explained the menu to us and we got a couple of chili dawgs (Everyone's Fav), hold the sour cream, with an order of fries. Yes, they accept credit cards. They hand you a buzzer that tells you to collect your order and it worked for us from the nearby parking lot. I'm sure the sour cream would have made it even more over the top good but both of us are sadly lactose intolerant and not big believers in dairy subs. However, the seasoned fries were hot and tasty and perfect to dip in the excellent chili. I just lost my soul cat and these dawgs were a perfectly indulgent, guilty treat on a days like these where I need to wash the blues away. read more

I love the idea of this small take-out joint. Entrepreneur quits her regular job to create a small restaurant. Her daughter also quits to help her out. Lots of fresh made menu items, some with a twist from time honored recipes. I really want to support them, but one problem . . . I've gone two times in the last four days around 11:15am, and they were closed. As far as I know, they should be open at 11am. On Saturday, I saw a young lady come of of the door, so I walked over, and she said the owner wasn't there yet, and invited be to come back in 30 minutes. i finished my other arrands and came back 40 minutes later, and they were still not open. I parked in the lot behind the tiny restaurant and waited another 10 minutes before finally leaving. Three days later, I came by at about 11:15am again, and they still hadn't opened. I understand the challenges of a small business, but someone needs to understand the importance of opening on time! I'm not on a clock for work, but if I had been and clocked out to go for lunch, and they weren't open 20-25 minutes after they should be, I'm not sure I would ever go back. I will give them another chance, because I want to support them. I will stop by after 11:30, and hope they are open. UPDATE: I decided to give them another chance and I went by for the third time in six days. This time i waited until 11:40 because the last two times it was closer to the opening time of 11am. SHOCKER!! They were still not open, or even looking like they would be any time soon. The front door was locked, the chairs outside were still stacked and there was no sign that anyone was around. For me, that's strike three. You would think a small business would do all they could to be open on time. And if you have a valid reason for not being open, leave a small not at the door. I'm sure the food is good, but I won't waste my time driving the 4 miles to try again. Sorry ladies! read more

My partner and I walk by this place most mornings. Today we stopped by because we wanted something quick and easy and have been wanting to try it. The daughter, of the mother who owns it, was so welcoming and friendly and in a sincere way, made us feel right at home. I ordered the basic dog and he got the Chicago dog. They were cooked perfectly, the toppings were fresh, and the buns were even toasted, which is how I prefer mine. I'm not a huge hotdog fan, but this place turned me into a fan! Service with a smile! I love it! Don't see that too much anymore, unfortunately. Cute little food truck. Decent parking is available on either side. There are two small strip malls surrounding it. Walked in to order our 'dawgs'. The lady had a lovely smile while greeting us. There isn't much room inside for more than one or two people. We ordered the regular dog, Chicago dog, and small vanilla malt shake. Total was $20. It took about 20 mins to get our food. It seemed really long, especially since there was only one order ahead of us. She did forewarn us they were a bit behind before we ordered. She estimated an extra 5-10 minutes. The hot dogs were tasty. Loved that they toasted their buns. The toppings were fresh and generous. Hopefully, my next comment isn't taken negatively, but it reminded me of the delicious Costco hotdogs. Although Costco doesn't offer nearly the amount of toppings, and they don't toast their buns. Cabin fever, time to get out after a winter snowcation. While we were cruising around we ran across this hot dawg joint. Wow!!! What a treat. Diggity Dawgs is a cross between a full restaurant building and a food truck. Is there a word for that?!?! The vibe is chilled and the inside doesn't really have a theme but lots of fun things to look at. We were greeted by a young lady with a wonderful smile and a pleasant spirit. She patiently waited for us to decide what we wanted to order. Once we decided we were handed a buzzer letting us know when he food was ready. We decided to step outside and wait. There is two seats outside and two seats inside for your waiting convenience. The wait wasn't long and certainly was worth it. We ordered the child dawg, Hawaiian dawg and the Italian dawg. The hot dogs were delicious. Good size hot dogs with fun toppings, not a new concept but perfectly balanced. We will definitely come back and try some of their other menu items. Food was excellent, other than the fries that were seasoned well, but tasted like they'd been previously frozen. My biggest issue was we were told 20 minutes at most to complete our order and we were there almost 50 minutes. My hotdog was cold when we finally received our order. We were told it was because they were super busy, even though I only saw 3 other customers and no one was there except me when I left. Even if they were busy with mobile orders or people I didn't see, don't say it will take 20 minutes when it's going to take over twice that. This was not fast food. I got a Chicago Dog and it's hella good, all the ingredients are high quality and the hot dog it self is grilled nicely. This cute spot reminded us of a pop-up or food truck as there is no space to eat, but we took our "dawgs" down the street to the open seating at Brothers Brewery and was delighted when we started eating. We had: The Basic Dawg was the 5- star. The smokiness of the dog was delicious, the ratio of bun to dog was perfect, toppings complimented and didn't take over. At $5 this was a steal and will definitely go back for more. Everyone's Favorite Dawg we rated 4.5. Toppings were great. Chili didn't taste house made but more Stagg-like which was good. Our only negative was that the chili was not hot so the sour cream made it taste cold. And that's us nit-picking a bit as we had it to go so it may have cooled down in transfer. But it did change the taste experience. Overall, it would be a repeat buy for us. The Hawaiian was our least favorite and will not be ordering it again without some changes. We liked the flavor of the marinara sauce, but really feel that a teriyaki or Hawaiian sauce would make more sense. It felt like we were having a Hawaiian pizza, not hot dog. The crushed pineapple was delicious. Maybe a Hawaiian style slaw or fried, cubed Spam instead of the Canadian-style Bacon would have really made this idea shine. We tried the corn-dog, hoping it was hand-dipped but it was not. It also did not tasted fried so it wasn't crunchy, just squashy. The small size was fine, but if they used their dawgs and hand-dipped those puppies in oil... we would buy a dozen. We also ordered a rose shake and strawberry smoothie. Both were incredibly delicious. Although the rose shake flavor was not strong but more vanilla. Still good enough to have again. And the small size was enough for two to share. The smoothie was so fresh and tasted like a berry sweet tart. So good! We will return as Diggity Dawg is by far the best basic hot dog we have had in the city so far. Prepare for a wait, but it's worth it. We are interested in trying the onion rings and breakfast dawg next. read more

This little eatery has been on my radar for a while and I finally had an opportunity to drop by (note that the opening time, as per the owners, is 11:30am). The restaurant is in tiny building and tucked away on a small lot along Hwy 99. It is quaint and charming inside, but very small...I assume it is mostly a takeaway spot. The two owners are so friendly, charming, and considerate...ya' know, the way customer service used to be. The ample dawgs are plump, moist, and just plain yummy. We tried the Basic and USA dawgs. Both were wonderful. The cream cheese is a nice touch on the USA dawg. We also had a side of onion rings. Unfortunately, they were ice cold which made the coating dense and hard. I do not think that they were fresh fried, but I like that they are made of whole onion slices. Two dogs and onion rings were under $20. All-in-all, this is a fun place, with nice staff, and an excellent hot dog...can't ask for much more than that. read more

Bottom line, he loved it! He also got a large blueberry milkshake. He's reviewing the menu they provided me with when I picked up my order. Very excited to order again in the future. The person on the phone and the one that handed me my order, probably the same person, was so friendly, helpful and obviously enjoyed her job and excited to help me. I'd never seen this place before but so glad to know where it is and right on highway 99- it's pickup only but it's clean and interesting inside, cozy and has interesting personal touches.
