Dig is my current obsession. I got the hot honey chicken with street corn and ceaser kale salad with brown rice as my base. There food is so good with perfect portions I definitely recommend .

I think I found the perfect combination of sides at this place. The kale salad, Mac n cheese and cheese was super moist and delicious.

2.75 ounces of chicken. I asked if that was regular serving, they said I could get more if I paid more, which I did because I am an adult man not a child. For an extra $6, they gave me 3 ounces more. Just charge what you need to give a reasonable serving and don't make it an awkward, please can I have more situation. Unpleasant, annoying place that's just gotten worse over the years.

I've been wanting to try Dig for a while now as I love healthier comfort food. I placed a large order here to share with friends, and unfortunately the bowl I got was pretty disappointing. I ordered the Salmon with Brown Rice, Sweet Potatoes, and Brussels. As you can see in the pic, the sweet potatoes and brussels were way too burnt. Some pieces were all black. Not sure what kind of quality control they were doing with this? The salmon was also way overcooked and dry unfortunately. I was disappointed as this bowl was kinda pricey and I had much higher expectations.

Very flavorful salad bowl. I also really loved all the different dressings and sauces. The ingredients were fresh and despite my disappointment in the steak it was cooked very well. Not chewy at all, it just had a very gamey taste. Like boiled meat. I also absolutely hated the addition of orange rinds on the salad. It was too much and not in a good way. I found myself examining each bite for the tiny pieces which was very annoying. This wasn't listed as being included in the salad. I would not order this particular salad again but I would visit this restaurant again.

Unfortunately my chicken was completely raw and I have felt sick since i took a bite of it. See for yourself.

I was at NYU and needed a quick bite to eat before going to the airport. Dig was a short walk down W 4th st. I wasn't really sure to explain as I've never really been to a place like this. It's Chipotle style in a sense, you can either get a bowl that you construct, or get one with predetermined ingredients. I chose the latter, and my bowl had brown rice, broccoli, sweet potatoes, chicken thighs, with a garlic aoli sauce. The chicken was tender and flavorful, and the sweet potatoes were tender. This was a very hearty meal. I couldn't finish it, and ended up taking it with me back home. My drink was a ginger mint lemonade with was very good. I recommend that 10 out of 10. I don't know where else they have these restaurants besides NY, but I would absolutely go again.

    This supposedly feeds 4 :/

I LOVE Dig's cashew kale caesar, I absolutely adore it. I don't know what the hell they put in there to make it so delicious. I don't get into the city much, so yesterday I made it a point to order from Dig while I was out with friends. I ordered the family size portion of kale salad via Ubereats (it purportedly feeds 4). I ordered TWO of these actually, please don't judge me. The portion I got was kind of shockingly small. I was expecting enough salad to theoretically be shared between 8 people. I understand that when doing family style you get a variety of sides, but for about $10 (almost $20 because again, I ordered 2 of these) I expect just a bit more kale! It's KALE! I have the photo below. I mean, maybe put it in a smaller container so it doesn't look so sad? I dunno. This was really disappointing.

My friend Kateryna invited me for lunch. I've been to diginn before and honestly I missed it during the quarantine. Kateryna got chicken with Brokkoli and cauliflower and I got veggie bowl with beets and Brussels sprouts. Dig inn never disappoints! Wish they had more options. If you're in the city and looking for a fast, cheap amd healthy options- this is the place to be.

Everything was unnecessarily salty... So salty!

The front part where you first walk in is the bar area with some tables. This restaurant is on the darker side and brings you back in time. Once you walk in further that is where the main dinning room is. This is also on the darker side as you can maybe tell by my photos. The wall paper and art around the restaurant is cool and there are some monkey statues around the restaurant. I was seated in a corner table in a booth area that seemed to be for at least 2-3 people. I thought for sure they would seat me at the bar area. I had a wonderful waitress whose name I think was Taylor but I could be wrong. I ordered the Monkey bread to start off with. It's a very buttery bread with truffle and parm cheese on top. I have alot of allergies and I was searching online if I could even have truffles as I have a nut allergy. So, I asked the waitress and she said she had never heard this. But, she came back to me and told me that White truffle grows near or like over where Almonds grow from but that, they don't use white truffle so I was all good. Well, this was super nice of her to check for me. I had no idea she was going to do this. She said the restaurant has strict protocols when it comes to food allergies. I then got for my main dish the double cheese burger with onions and pickles. To drink I had the cucumber martini. WOW everything was pretty darn good!! I passed on dessert. If you get a chance or a reservation pops up in your resy to go, even if it is for lunch..I highly say go for it.

Our server was…read moreincredibly warm, upbeat, and full of energy--one of those people who genuinely elevates a meal. I only wish I could remember her name because she deserves the recognition. We started with drinks, and mine ended up being a surprise standout. I ordered the coconut margarita, slightly hesitant since I'm not usually a margarita fan--but it completely won me over. It struck a perfect balance and leaned just enough into the coconut to make it feel unique without being overpowering. My sister-in-law, who's pregnant, had a non-alcoholic Ritual margarita and loved it, noting how convincingly it mimicked the real thing. Since we were sharing, we got to try a good mix of the menu. The monkey bread came first--definitely a splurge at $34, but it's one of those fun, indulgent starters that's worth ordering at least once. While I wouldn't call it the best bread I've ever had, I also wouldn't change anything about it. The crab rangoon was another highlight. Having it made with real crab made a noticeable difference, and the dipping sauces complemented it really well. It felt like a more elevated take on something familiar. For mains, the French dip was a hit. The meat was incredibly tender, the bread had that ideal crusty exterior, and the au jus was packed with flavor--I was very glad I ordered extra. It pulled the whole dish together. We also tried the smoked whitefish Caesar, which was the only dish that didn't quite land for me. It was a well-made, fresh salad, but the smoked fish flavor was a bit overpowering and took over the balance of the dish. Even though we were too full for dessert, the restaurant surprised us with a scoop of strawberry ice cream with chocolate sauce to celebrate my sister-in-law's babymoon. It ended up being one of the most memorable bites of the meal--we're still talking about how good that ice cream was. We arrived right at 11:45, and by the time we left, the place was absolutely buzzing. It's clearly a popular spot, and for good reason. Between the lively atmosphere, strong service, and well-executed food, I'd highly recommend making a reservation if you can.

The super thin pasta was tender. - Chrysanthemum salad - How have I never known that chrysanthemum salad could be so delicious? Someone else described the dressed as "bright" and I cannot think of a better way to describe the fresh taste. - Stuffed garlic flatbread - Reminiscent of artichoke dip baked in bread; good, but our least favorite item. - BBQ calamari - tender and flavorful For our main courses: - Sorpresine & Smoked Mussels - So much flavor on this "surprise" pasta. The combination of flavors was slightly unexpected, but everything worked beautifully together. The mussels were tender and added the perfect amount of smokiness to this dish. - Garganelli Giganti - The sauce and meatballs were perfection. I am very picky with sauce and this was really tasty. - Chicken Scarpariello - Veal "da Pepi" - This was the star (for me at least). Veal is very easy to dry out especially when this thin. - side of Charred Broccolini We all were able to share all of our items amongst the four of us which made it a great way to try so many different items on the menu. I also had a "Two Yoots" to drink. I was initially tickled by the My Cousin Vinny reference, but then felt I needed to try prosciutto washed rum. The rum mixed with min and cantaloupe very just as refreshing as I had hoped it to be. I wanted to try Nonna's nip, but I wanted to make sure I had enough room for all the food. My husband, parents, and I came in for lunch on a Sunday. This restaurant is tiny and it was packed, but service was excellent. Sad because I wanted to love this place, and maybe another booth where my ass wasnt on my neighbors chair, and the music was a different band might change this whole experience!
