    Fast casual eats. I customized a vegan bowl with tofu, beans, avocado, rice, and greens. The rice tasted undercooked. Would be better sautéed/cooked longer. Ordered online and was ready in 15 min. Surprised they don't place it in a bag, but they had a pile of bags if needed. Bar and table seating available.

    I enjoyed my meal here. The setting is small with few seats and kind of self served but not. Had a chance to try faro for the first time and I love it! So many places have opened up similar to chipotle but better. You choose your base (faro) then your two sides (broccoli and roasted carrots - so good) next your protein (grilled chicken - a little overcooked) and topped with a dressing (garlic aioli) or go naked. Either way, this place is a winner.

    Great spot for a quick, healthy bite near Times Square, with good options for vegetarians and vegans! I love that the bowls and sandwiches are customizable, the nutritional info is on the website, and the tofu is so flavorful and well-seasoned!

    Our food was delicious! My Custom with Protein bowl was grilled chicken, Parmesan cauliflower, cashew kale, and avocado - everything was so flavorful. My husband was a big fan of his Crispy Tofu Sandwich Combo with Mac & cheese. We would get food from here again, no doubt! The ability to create a custom bowl leaves one with so many possibilities. Plus it's relatively affordable given today's food prices.

    Known for its seasonally-inspired bowls made with farm-fresh ingredients, Dig is a healthy alternative to most other fast food/fast-casual restaurants. You can choose from their pre-made bowls or build your own, selecting one base and three market sides (either 1 protein and 2 veg sides or 3 veg sides). We chose to build our own bowls and shared the protein and veg sides. * Charred Chicken Marketbowl We went with brown rice for the base, charred chicken for the protein, and roasted sweet potatoes and charred broccoli with lemon for the veg sides. The brown rice and roasted sweet potatoes were honestly delicious, but the charred chicken was far too dry (albeit nicely roasted with spices), and the charred broccoli was incredibly bitter, practically burnt not charred. * Wild Alaskan Salmon Marketbowl We again went with brown rice for the base, wild Alaskan salmon for the protein, and sheet tray carrots and charred broccoli with lemon for the veg sides. I'm not a salmon or fish kind of gal, but my sister enjoyed the salmon. We shared the carrots and I have to say, for someone for hates carrots, the carrots were nicely seasoned and spiced, and the lemon flavor really shone through.

    Ordered here for pickup. Easy website and didn't need to place order a a guest for pickup. A friend recommended knowing how much I love these bowls- Mediterranean- like meals. Ordered the charred chicken, 1/2 grain, 1/2 greens bowl. Added avocado and three sauces: garlic, pesto and rosemary vinaigrette. Pick up as easy- ready on the shelf clearly identified. Meal was delicious but it's too small for $14- more like $10. Chicken was plentiful but the sides needed a little more increase. I had the broccoli. This is 1/2 rice, 1/2 salad greens. Cutlery was requested and visible on the printed receipt, but not provided. It was tasty though, so I may order again or just go to Cava across the street.

We shared the lobster pasta entree. Tasted more like Mexican goulash. No Italian flavors to be found in the sauce. Never once did the nameless waiter stop and inquire about our meal. Just all around a poor experience and a disappointing Friday night. There are far better places that appreciate your patronage. We will not be coming back. Not worth it.

But, she came back to me and told me that White truffle grows near or like over where Almonds grow from but that, they don't use white truffle so I was all good. Located at MoMA, The Modern is a 2 Michelin star restaurant hosting both fine dining, showcasing Chef Thomas Allan's cuisine, and a more casual dining experience in The Bar Room. The restaurant is gorgeous and has a giant glass wall overlooking MoMA's Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Sculpture Garden, a lovely view. There is an abridged tasting menu of 3 courses, but we opted for the full chef's menu cause we didn't want to miss their signature "eggs on eggs on eggs" and after the supplemental charge, the price was close enough. - Hiramasa and sugar snap peas/crispy ham and cheese--simple and delicious, with the hiramasa being light and fresh and the ham and cheese providing a deeply savory contrast - Chilled lobster, shiso, and green radish--the lobster was cold and sweet but as a personal preference, I don't really enjoy bitter flavors and the slice of lemon under the radish threw it off a bit - Eggs on eggs on eggs--words cannot adequately describe the unctuousness of this dish, it's like eating rich, buttery velvet on a crispy, fluffy log of brioche. As a bonus, they bring you an extra toast to mop up all the tasty bits - Pumpkin seed sourdough and cultured butter--okay I totally didn't know this was meant to be eaten with the next dish so given total lack of self control in the face of pillowy fresh bread and perhaps the smoothest butter on the planet, I may or may not have eaten it all before the trout showed up... they were nice enough to give us more :') - Sea trout with clams and saffron shellfish broth--the fish was cooked to literal perfection and the clam and saffron sauce enhanced everything even more. This fights with the chicken dish for spot #2 in my favorites of this meal - Heritage chicken, provençal asparagus, vin jaune--this reminds me of the stuffed chicken from Per Se and was cooked just as well. The vin jaune sauce was slightly nutty with an incredibly rich flavor and also went well with the bread - Lamb saddle, romanesco, and lemon poached dates--for some reason I thought the chicken was the final savory course and I did not pace myself at all and was so full by this point. The lamb was tender and the date was a wonderful bite though - Wild strawberries and cacao--I can't remember what was all in this but I loved the little wild strawberries as they were like delicious strawberry gummies - Dark chocolate cremeux, meyer lemon, and espresso--delicious with interesting flavors, I haven't had many lemon, chocolate, and coffee combinations - Mignardises of raspberry, lemon coconut, cherry cheesecake--only one I tried was the cherry cheesecake bonbon but my husband ate 'em all so they must've been good lol The MVP of this meal was the melon lemonade mocktail, made with honeydew, jasmine, and pandan. Might be the most perfect drink for me ever made because it was melony with a subtle floral note from the pandan and jasmine, and only lightly sweet and tart, everything I love. Sooooo good! Service was pretty good up until we wanted to pay, and for some reason it became really difficult to find someone to close us out. We waited almost 20 minutes between the mignardises and finally being able to pay, even actively looking around trying to flag someone down. Despite The Modern not being the most innovative of meals, it's easily one of my all time favorites. Their entire operation seemed so incredibly focused, meticulous, and inspiring that we knew we had to try it. We started with the Iberico ham and the hiramasa tart, both incredible. Then came the chilled lobster, which was super fresh and refreshing, served with an amazing sauce that made me want to lick the plate clean. Every dish felt refined without being overly complicated. The service was extraordinary. You can immediately tell the front-of-house team is operating at an extremely high level and is aware of everything happening in the room at all times. At one point, my wife stepped away to use the restroom just as they were about to serve the first course. Without saying a word or making anything awkward, the staff simply looped around a couple of times until she returned. The moment she sat down, they resumed service seamlessly without missing a beat. That level of awareness and professionalism really stood out to us. Next came the rye bread, which was fresh and crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, paired with delicious butter. Then we had the sea bass with crab, which was phenomenal and one of my favorite dishes of the night. But the true star of the show for me was the lamb. My wife and I grill lamb racks often, and I genuinely had no idea this level of perfection existed. It was cooked flawlessly, and the sauce was absolutely incredible. Some are very good. But none have delivered on every aspect the way The Modern did. This is officially our favorite restaurant in the world.

The place was packed! The dinner items are so intriguing. Why did I love it so much? Because it was like art, but also delicious. I can highly recommend the tableside butter service. A giant cart with a mountain of butter is rolled to your area. In the most entertaining way, butter is scooped and prepared on a marble slab then served to you and yours with many little accoutrements. It was way too much for two people, but we loved every bite.
