This was my first time being at Cava, which is a quick-service fast-casual restaurant that serves Mediterranean food in an assembly line format. While I wouldn't normally, I paid a bit extra to get the braised lamb with the greens and grains bowl from here. This bowl was quite good. The base being a combination of salad and rice works well here - it keeps the meal really balanced once you mix everything around. The lamb was also very nice. While on the fattier end, the braising made it really soft and tender. While it's not quite the same level as if you were to order braised lamb at a restaurant, it's impressive how good this managed to stay despite being pre-made and sitting in the tray. The many toppings here that you can select from are fantastic. There are a large variety of vegetables - I went with pickles, pickled onions, broccoli, and lettuce - of these the pickled onions was definitely a standout. I was able to mix this with feta for some extra flavor and pita crisps for some extra texture. I want to call out how well the pita crisps fit within this specifically - as the crunch from these mixed so well with the softness from the rest of the bowl. Lastly, the sauces was just great. I got the yogurt dill, tzatziki, and tahini, and the amount of sauce in here was a lot. It mixed very well through the bowl, ensuring nothing was dry and providing a really good eating experience. If I had one complaint, the pita on the side was not very good. This cost about $18 given the extra price for the braised lamb, but the portion size was pretty large - although maybe not for the meat itself. Overall, this is customizable, quick, and high quality. If I worked around here I would come back a lot. 8.25/10 read more

First time at CAVA and I got the harissa avocado bowl. Delicious! I know people say it's a better Chipotle but they're at completely different price points, and CAVA is better! Not a salad girl but this place changed me. Went to cava because my friend raved about it and ordered in person. I bought a Tahini Caesar salad with an order of pita chips. (I wish I knew it came with a free pita - I found out on my second cava trip using the app for reward points). The service is great, and it wasn't super busy the both times I went. There are many CAVA locations and it's a china restaurant where you have to select your base, meat, and sides, either you get a customized bowl or I got the chicken and rice bowl and it was really filling. It came with grilled chicken, brown rice, tzatziki, hummus, feta, pickled onion, tomato, arugula. It also came with a piece of pita bread. The brown rice was not soft and was cooked to the right hardness. The problem I had was the seating. There weren't that many seats in the place. I wish there was more. read more

I love cava as an alternative to other fast casual lunch places; it's a tad expensive imo ( over $14 for a chicken bowl with no additional add ons) but a step above the quality of other places. This location was pretty clean and tidy although the portion size of chicken was a little skimpy. They were good about loading up on veggies though. This location is extremely hectic during lunch hours. If you order pick up, it will not be placed in a bag. Your order will be sitting out on the shelves for anyone to tamper with and your sauce ordered 'on the side' will likely be snatched by someone who doesn't want to pay extra for their own. You then have to disrupt the register worker which delays the line. I ordered 2 bowls for pick up that had the exact same contents. However, one bowl was missing rice and the other bowl seemed to have 2 scoops of sauce instead of 3. My bowls were also in separate places even though ordered for the same pick up time. I specifically asked for utensils on the app, but that didn't matter because my food wasn't even placed in a bag. My suggestion: Only buy from this location if you're going in person or go when it's empty and the workers are in a good mood. read more

It's always so solid. Delicious every bite. I got lamb as the meat which I won't again. It's with a ton of sauce which got everywhere and it kinda is the hero and everything else is left as secondary. The sweet potatoes I taste tested and they were BOMB. Since I can only get Cava in the city, whenever I'm in the city & have a taste for a salad, Cava is my go to. The staff was professional & from the time I entered to the time I left, it was fairly quickly. The young lady getting my order together seemed to be really monitoring how much chicken she poured because she gave me a spoon but then was picking up 2-3 little pieces one by one lol which I didn't understand. If it was me I would've just given another spoon even if not a full spoonful. As well as quite a bit of their avocado was browning, so I had to ask if I could have avocado not brown, which she was able to do. It made me think though, because initially she was just gonna give me the one on the top which was browning & you know for a "to go" order, they probably did. It has happened to me before when I ordered a salad with avocado via UberEats. Brown avocados are a no no. Other than those two things, everything else was fine. read more

I had heard a lot about Cava but had never been to one. So, when I stumbled across this location I got really excited. It's a small location with just a few seats inside. The employees were not very helpful and truly seemed like they hated their job. I said I had never been there before and the gentleman points to the menu hanging down at the end and said "There's the menu." They have a couple of different preset bowls or you can make your own. I decided on the lemon chicken bowl. It was tasty and everything seemed fresh. I don't like that they DRENCHED the bowl with the vinaigrette; everything was incredibly oily. I am a CAVA regular, primarily at their 42nd street location. First time I had Cava and I must say I was very impressed, and after my nth meal I must say this is still my favorite fast, healthy, casual spot! Fresh ingredients, healthy, big portions, and great prices is what comes into mind. You can choose between ~4 types of veggies or grains, choose 3 out of ~6 dips, pick 1 out of ~4 proteins, have unlimited toppings, and top it off with a sauce of your choice. Eggplant dip, chicken are my favorites here! The tzatiki sauce was also great, and the lemon herb tahini taste fantastic and healthy. Unlike the 42nd street location, there are seating options here at the back. Beware, its only bar seating right by the window, and I counted about 6 spots? Awesome! Horrible !! This cava location needs to be shut down! I have tried reaching out to customer service for the past two days and they are thief's! I ordered a chicken grains and greens bowl. To go home and there was NO chicken in my bowl. I paid for this item and Cava incompetent employees did not give me what i ordered. I ordered ahead it ahead of time through the app so i figured i shouldn't have to fish around my bowl to make sure cava did their job. Also!! The garlic sauce was watery and spoiled.
