I haven't…read moreshopped for new clothes in a long time, and when I do, I almost exclusively shop online, but I needed some new items in a pinch, and decided to try the factory store, as I did not want to spend a lot. As it is a factory store, I expected substantially lower prices than the regular Ann Taylor retail stores, so I was rather surprised to find that prices are still quite high here as well. Ummmm, what's the point of a factory store then? I may as well go to the regular store. The store is organized well, neat, and clean, so that's great. The antithesis of the Nordstrom Rack in the same plaza, which I also checked out. The Rack was a disaster. Completely overwhelming, with a huge stock laid out in a very poorly organized fashion. I gave up on that place after a few minutes. But back to Ann Taylor. I found a pair of trousers I liked, and ended up purchasing, but nothing else. There was nothing appealing whatsoever amongst the tops. Unflattering, baggy styles that instantly add 20lbs, way too many ugly, distracting patterns, etc. Who is designing these clothes, seriously? Can I have their job? I'm no expert, but I'm sure I could do better than this. My partner also commented that the designs were fugly, adding "and I'm a dude, I don't know anything about fashion." The staff were courteous and professional, the main reason I'm rounding up to three stars.

I revisited this store over the holidays after a 6-7 year of not. I'm not a huge fashion or shopping guy but over my adult years and knowing my sizes and fits, I just became loyal to certain brands that fit me well or have good luck finding my sizes and styles. Banana Rep is one brand that fills such mold. It just fits my basic taste and their sizings fits my particular body without any altering. I also find the fabric textures to be soothing yet sturdy. I heard Banana Republic is part of the GAP corportation, with Old Navy being the economic level, the Gap being the middle tier and Banana Republic being the higher tier. It always made sense to me. I like this location as it super convenient, the closest to me. It is also less busy as say the Livermore location which can get super tight inside. And on a weekday, this place is super conducive for me, very chill with easy parking. Now outlet shopping can be hit or miss. Sometimes you'll find something nice with a nice pricetag in tow, whilst other times you may find nothing. It's part of the hunt and fun. But I like to get a couple of things occasionally to keep the wardrobe fresh and tight. And this Banana Republic can be a part of that occasion. Giving a long due shout out.

The 50% off helps a lot. I still didn't find anything that caught my eye that was at a price I was willing to pay. They had some nice dresses and evening wear mostly for the New Years Celebrations. I also saw some pretty sweaters. We were mostly coming for my husband. He really likes Banana Republic. We found a pair of pants for his nephew that were comfy and actually fit him. He's got a very tiny waist so it's not easy to shop for him. Most of the pants didn't come in his size, but we found a pair that he approved of. We got it for him for Christmas and he was very happy with them. The store is well organized and is easy to decipher the men's versus women's sections. They even had suits for men. Full on suits, matching slacks and jackets, not just sports coats. They must be competing with Men's Warehouse next door. I was really surprised by finding a suit, the only issue is they don't do tailoring in store so you'd have to find a private Tailor. Returns are easy and quick. Even with it being the holidays the line goes really quick with two registers open. We bought a shirt for my other nephew that we thought he'd like and 50% off was a good deal. We bought it and then went next door to Nordstrom Rack. While at the Rack we found an even better shirt for him so while in line at the Rack we returned the one at Banana Republic and was in and out in a flash. On the other hand the line at the Rack was to the back of the store. So if you are on a time crunch this is the store for you.

The artisan creations looked interesting. Don't know where i can put them. Will return to check out shirts... Street parking only. TAGS is on a corner.

It cost a little more than I expected but worth it. Today, the store wasn't busy so I was in and out within 10 minutes. The cashier was helpful. The suitcase was security locked and I requested it be opened to see if it was suitable for me. Great customer service. However, theft has been on the rise at this location. Now you have to enter and stand in front of a TV with loss prevention until they give you the go ahead to pass the entrance.

As someone who turns in my EF clothing, it's the first time I've seen how it's turned around. I just wish I live closer so I can go when they have better sales. The prices they have are great if you're looking to get something because you need it now. The staff and service were friendly and the store is open and clean with seating for patient shopping companions.

They received their shirt, bu they claimed they didn't receive the return slip. Stop selling illegally purchased clothing & stolen goods! They are under investigation.

A friendly attitude and better communication would make a huge difference in the shopping experience. I enjoy shopping at TJ Maxx, but the poor customer service makes me think twice about returning. I hope management takes customer feedback seriously and invests in improving staff training and customer care.
