I was visiting from out of town and stopped in for Magic: the Gathering games of EDH/Commander. The staff was exceptionally kind and informative, and the clientele all were great to play with! If I lived here, I would definitely be here weekly and I definitely encourage anyone curious to check it out! They also have sodas available for purchase, and my only gripe was that they didn't have a better variety of drinks, especially healthier ones, or small bites. I'll hopefully be able to return soon!

Avoid doing business with this shop. I bought a rare book on their website, which was listed as in…read morestock. A couple of days later, the seller canceled my order and refunded my money without any notice or explanation. Their excuse was that they could not fulfill an out-of-state order because they could not charge sales tax. I paid shipping and sales tax on the order, and there was no notice of any restrictions on their website. Curiously, the book was no longer in stock after they canceled my order, and they ignored my communications to find a resolution. This strikes me as dishonest and a poor way to treat customers.

But it is wall-to-wall, everything kids. It reminds me of when Kevin is at Duncan's Toy Chest in Home Alone 2. Just everything they could ever want, or need, because there are bibs and pacifiers, to clothes and stuffed animals. Price point is very competitive as well. It's great to know if I need gifts for all the kiddos in my life, that I just need to swing by Main Street!

My toddler had a few normal moments of fussiness while we were there, and a manager asked us to leave, claiming we were disturbing customers -- even though the store was nearly empty. My oldest son had spent over an hour searching for specific Lego pieces and was heartbroken that he didn't get to buy them. What upset me most was how poorly my daughter was treated for simply acting her age. We also reached out to management afterward and never received a response from the owner.

Looking at the sign on the door, I realized I was making this discovery 13 minutes before closing. I was greeted when I walked in and assured them I just wanted to poke my head in, as I saw they were getting ready to leave, and was told I was welcome. I made a quick lap around just to check them out, and stopped by their merch counter to grab a quick souvenir. I love a local bookstore, and grabbed a coffee mug to remind myself to come back. They had a cute setup and a table dedicated to my current favorite obsession, Dungeon Crawler Carl. They had signs everywhere informing everyone of their planned move, apparently out of the basement. I am not sure where they will be next, but I will make a point to search them out the next time I am in Madison. And come in plenty of time to peruse.
