OMG! The best Italian Ice Cream in the neighborhood or whole of NJ!!!! A tiny place (no sitting) just a vendor window. They been around for 106 years - who can beat that ??? I hate to see them go. I hope the next owners keep up the good excellent reputation that has built over the years!!!! The current owners are friendly. The ices is so flavorful. Only 3-4 flavors at a time and whatever specialty of the day. Come on over and you will understand why. I got brain freeze not from the price but because it was worth the visit, the taste and the hype!!! You will not be disappointed. Parking is street parking but easy to find, the line may be long at times but this just shows you how special they really are. Their closing hours is not predictable because of its popularity, so they stay open only until they run out!!! So come early!!!

For some reason my review is gone and most of my pictures except 1 but I have been a loyal customer for years. This business has been in their family for over 100 years. At 100 years the street name was changed to their name DiCosmo Place. This is probably one of the top Italian Icee places in the country quality wise. Their Icees are made the old fashion way in wooden barrels and with the original basic type of machinery. The only thing that has changed decades ago is they don't use ice blocks. They originally had only 3 flavors years ago but have expanded their flavors. Why is it so good? It's all made in an old fashioned way by using old time machinery. Their ice has a different texture and fluffiness to it. The fruits were hand squeezed. Not sure if it's still done that way nowadays but they use real fruit not syrups. Their main icee varieties were lemon, orange and orange pineapple. They have added other flavors and rotate them. You'll usually see a line down the street but it moves well so stay and wait for an amazing icee of your choice. They are only opened during the summer because they basically work on their front porch. If you're in the area or within about 30 minutes IMO I consider it a destination Italian Icee place. I've never had another Italian icee to compare to the quality and fluffy texture of theirs. I'm reposting my last picture that was left up to go with the review. Now go get yourself a truly yummy Italian Icee :)!

My friend was born in Elizabeth and this was a spot he would always come to. The lemon probably is the best flavor, unfortunately they was out of it. I did have the Mango, which was pretty good. Hopefully when I come back the Lemon will be available. This is a small little spot that packs a big flavorful punch.

Seriously unbelievable homemade Italian ices! Every flavor is so fresh and the perfect consistency! Family fun for 100+ years and completely irresistible. You'll find that DiCosmo's has a huge following on Facebook, called the Fans of DiCosmo's, where the family posts the schedule and daily offerings. This place is seriously addicting and I try not to indulge too much. My favorite is the coconut or the pina colada, but you can tell from the taste the craft that goes into these homemade ices. All of the fruit offerings of course have fresh fruit chunks within, and I would pick DiCosmo's over competitors any day!

Smooth, flavorful, delicious!! If you're ever in the area, this is the place to try. I went for my first time a few days ago and it was the best Italian ice experience I've ever had! Can't expect anything but greatness from a place that already has such great reviews! Seriously, it's a must try!

I still remember after the game, all the kids and parents(winners and losers) would line up around the block for lemon ice.

Everest Ice Cream Shop, in my opinion, is a "gem" on Elmora Avenue. I was looking for a place to…read moregrab a scoop of ice cream after having lunch in Roselle today, and found this place on Yelp. As the name suggests, ice cream is their specialty; however, this locally-owned parlor also offers a small but authentic selection of Mexican street food and sweet treats, too! FOOD: Esquites (small @ $5/ea): A couple others I was with ordered esquites, but I was able to try it. The basic ingredients were all there and tasted how they should; I also saw some epazote mixed in. The only complaint we had was the excessive broth scooped with the corn; it was a bit too much. Nonetheless, their esquites was enjoyable. Keep in mind that they add quite a bit of lime juice, so ask for less if you don't want yours too tangy. Mangonada ($6): There is quite a variety of raspados to pick from, but I had to go with a classic flavor. From the mango and mango-flavored slushy (which added a nice touch) to the chamoy and tamarind straw, everything was on point. Although frozen mangos are used, it's not a deal breaker for me. SERVICE: The woman working inside was friendly and helpful. The 3 of us only waited a short 10 minutes for our orders. Everything is reasonably priced, especially since few places in NJ sell Mexican-style raspados. I'd love to see other snacks such as Tostilocos (with all the fixings like cacahuate, cueritos, rielitos, etc.) or a bag of Duros (topped with some lime juice and Valentinas) added to their menu in the future; however, even if it's kept the same, I will still be back to try their various paletas and ice cream.
