The food is good most of the time but the wait during non peak hours is crazy. 45 minute wait for 2 sandwiches at 430pm is crazy. My husband and I are from Canada and moved to New Jersey together about a year ago, although he also lived here for a period of about three years' before we started dating. He had PLENTY of experience to authentic Jersey pie before we packed our U-Haul last winter... I, however, did not. I'm an "extra sauce, easy on the cheese" kind of gal, which doesn't really mesh well with the thin-crust, stringy mozza style that makes Jersey pie famous. And I *really* like my pizza! After trying a few local places (Frank's, Sal's, a place with a cool Chef statue near Lake Hopatcong), I was ready to write off local pie and just stick with ol' trusty Domino's. But then I discovered Dicola's pan pie! Dicola's seems more expensive than some of the other local places and they don't seem to offer a lot of combos, nor are they ever advertised in the envelopes of local ads that we receive every month or so. So, at around $15-$18 for a large pie, they're a treat. But their pan pie displays some of the freshest crust and sauce I've tasted since moving to this side of the border. I always order pizza plain, so these things are of paramount importance to me, and Dicola's gets an A+ in both. My husband really likes the white pie, though I myself can't comment on that. Delivery is fast, which is great because their spot is sort of hard to get in and out of during prime traffic hours (it's sort of wedged between two streets intersecting at a 45 degree angle). Honestly, the food here is usually very good, however there are a lot of downsides. Firstly, the customer service here SUCKS. Every time I call to place an order, I have to constantly ask for a total before giving out my card number, which will take at least 10 minutes and every time whomever is answering the phone seems surprised that I would want to know what amount is being charged on my card. I usually get hung up on "by accident". The food takes over an hour to arrive, and that isn't including the fact that they usually deliver to the wrong place, even though I tell them time and time again that I'm in Oxford, not Washington. Normally after an hour, I have to call to remind them that I ordered food and that it's in Oxford, not Washington. read more

Pizza arrived and was cold and had a dent in the top of the box, as if the driver sat on it. Obviously they don't care about the return business. We'll be calling Domino's next. Well all my other orders were fine, BUT NEVER ORDER PENNE PASTA it taste like nothing and very bland doesnt even look like penne pasta, and never could i say i had it with bacon in it ... it was gross. HORRIBLE and when i called they had nothing to say o sorry and thats it!!!! read more

The staff is beyond friendly. The garlic bread was phenomenal, real roasted garlic, real butter, and herbs (spread is made there). Do yourself a serious favor and get a deep dish pizza, it is cooked perfectly and my gosh it's just freaking awesome. Oh and order a pizza with meatballs sometime, they are sliced almost paper thin and have great flavor! So far this is our favorite pizza place in the area. I've started to go and pick my orders up instead of delivery because by the time they get to you here not piping hot and that, to me, makes a huge difference on taste and quality. They have an incredible business and often on a Friday or Saturday night the line is out the door for pickup. The owners and staff are always very nice and accommodating when I have to order a bunch of pizzas in advance for work with a purchase order. This is still not my favorite pizza place and I wouldn't order anything else but pizza/cheesesteaks from here. But the pizza is good enough and debatably the best in Washington, at least. And the cheesesteaks are decent. I'm not a Dicola's fanatic like some people, but in a quick pinch for takeout this suffices. read more

Unprofessional, rude, inattentive staff. They sound too busy chatting and laughing among themselves to pay attention to their jobs. They will charge you for everything you ordered, but may forget to give you your entire order when you pick up or will give you the incorrect order. Further, the delivery can take forever and be delivered elsewhere...with the wrong food. The have a changing delivery area border, apparently. And, if you want delivery on certain days, suggest you meet the delivery person in a parking lot somewhere because he simply will not drive 1/2 mile further than that, as he is busy with a lot of deliveries. Staff sounds like teenagers that have no idea how to deal with customers. read more

I stopped in on January 6, 2018 to pick up my two cheese steaks and an order of chicken fingers and fries. When I called in my order, I was given a wait time of 30 minutes, which I was content with. I waited 30 minutes before leaving and it took us maybe an extra 10 to get there, as the roads weren't the absolute greatest on the way there. I was disappointed upon arriving and discovering our food was not done. I was BEYOND disappointed when I waited an extra 45 minutes to get our takeout food. A total of an hour and 25 minutes to get two cheese steaks and an order of chicken fingers and fries!! Absurd!! The woman at the desk weakly apologized and said they were under staffed. Yet, they had two delivery boys just sitting at the tables, one kid who was only concerned with the football game instead of making food, one young girl who was busy flirting with every guy that entered, that woman, two men cooking, and a third man making pizza pies. Essentially, there was 8 employees and it took an hour and 25 minutes to cook our food? Baloney. They did not even try to compensate us with some sort of discount for us waiting so long in the crowded place. Ultimately, I would have been happier if they had been straight up with me and told me from the start that it would be an hour+ wait for food, rather than yanking my chain and telling me to come in 30 minutes. I gave them two stars because the cheese steaks were quite good. However, they cooked some of the food at different times so half of our meal was cold and half was warm. Oh and while we were waiting other people kept coming in and were served their food, consumed it, and even left, way before we received ours. read more
