They charged us $781 for a tow and when I asked why the towing fee of $481.25 is so expensive the owner said "Because the world is expensive" and he said " I have a lot of bills to pay". This is a perfect name for this company. They threatened to release my daughter's car to the finance company and then hung up on me. Steven will dominate the conversation and not allow you to speak. I explained that my daughter was in the hospital, that the car is all her and her 2 kids have. He didn't care, he continued with the threats and continued interrupting me before finally hanging up. All I was asking for was a small discount. I hope someday someone will show this poor man what kindness is. read more

My husband died on 01-05-23, he was found dead next to his truck. This company was called by California highway patrol to towed his vehicle unfortunately. Since day one they were very unprofessional refusing to provide any information. I called several times trying to recover my vehicle and some guy answered and he said he was the owners husband I asked if they had this vehicle and they acted like they didn't have it. Making it hard just to have any sort of information. I didn't recover my vehicle the only thing that my son had left from his father. It was sold by this company that wanted to keep this vehicle since they got it. If there was sort of zero stars I will give them to them. Please don't do business with this company. read more

It's always nice to find vehicles for whatever service either to flip them or for spare parts but unfortunately they flipped the tables on us we recently bought an RV there and pay the asking price we looked inside liked everything and told him that would take it they let us know when they can drop it off and brought it over but once they dropped off the RV we went inside after the tow truck left, they ripped out the stove and they ripped out the generator of the RV so I'm gonna have to give this place a one star for having shady business practices because they give you half truths or don't give you the whole truth this is unfortunate when you run into businesses like this especially ones who have been around in a small community for so long read more

I have AAA and they had this company meet me at my house at 6:30am on a Sunday the following morning after calling and they were right on time! Which is huge to me. Very friendly and took great care of my car and got it to the repair place on time and with great care. We had a double blow out in our 35' class A motorhome on the 8 east freeway near the Jacumba exit. We made it to the shoulder safely and called AAA. As this was not your typical fix a flat, they had to find a specialty tow company. It took a few hours, but finally Bradley from Dick's towing arrived. Bradley told us that his Grandfather was Dick and had started the company and passed it down to his son, who was Bradley's father. Bradley quickly assessed the situation and figured out the best way to finesse the RV onto the long flatbed trailer (land fall?) with a double flat on the right rear. His experience from having grown up doing this work really showed. Besides being very skilled, he was friendly and personable. He got us off the freeway and back home safely. This experience could have been so much worse, but thanks to Dicks and Bradley, all we have to deal with now is getting new tires! Thanks Bradley! read more

Dick's Towing Service was at their best when we were at our worst. My parent's truck broke down in Tecate the day before. Uhaul gave us the wrong trailer to pull it back home. Ryan showed up and promptly loaded up the truck and drove it home to east county. That's his job but was really stands out was his courtesy and amazing customer service skills, not to mention his professionalism in his trade. Was heading out for an Independence Day camping/off-roading trip. My husband was in the lead with the travel trailer, I was towing my son's Jeep on a trailer, and my son was driving hubby's Jeep in front of me. Failure of the passenger side hub and break of the axle shaft had my son on 3 wheels with no brakes. Everyone got to the shoulder ok and Brian from Dick's was there in no time.
