She then acknowledged receiving the order. 90 minutes later no truck truck. I again called her with AAA on the line. She again said she had no record of the order from AAA. Had a relative have their car towed after being taken to the hospital. I called to try and pay for the fees which came to $390 when I asked if there was a way to make payments or reduce the rate because this was serious and unexpected medical emergency the owner proceeded to lecture me on their bills they have to pay and their entire payroll process. Unprofessional and unnecessary. A simple yes or no response would have been suffice. When I called back to make the payment they refused to take any sort of payment over the phone. I guess they don't really care about all those bills that much. Also, considering the current pandemic how are you not making contactless pay an option at this point? I needed my car towed to El Cajon Kia and I am in Pine Valley and am a huge believer of supporting local businesses so I had my insurance call Dick's Towing first before their companies that they recommend. I get that companies can charge whatever they feel like but Dick's wanted to charge me over $400 for a tow to El Cajon that is a total of 25 miles. You can guess my answer. NO! Had another tow company come up the hill, only to drive back down the hill (instead of being local) and it was $195. Needless to say, I DO NOT recommend Dick's Towing and it really sucks that as much as their neighbors want to support them, THEY DON'T SUPPORT THEIR NEIGHBORS. read more

I would like to start out that there are two tow companies by the name of Dick's. One is a AAA contract company in Descanso,CA. the other Dick's is in Campo and is not associated with AAA. I made the mistake of calling Dick's from Campo directly as the initial tow that was called had no trucks available. While they are not AAA, our driver was very professional and took care of our tire change quickly. I only gave 3 stars as when I ordered the tow, I was only told that I would have to pay cash or credit. No indication that it was not a AAA contract tow company. The dispatcher could have advised me at the time of my call and saved my inconvinience. read more

Never had an issue with drivers from this company. Always had someone courteous willing to go above and beyond to finish the job right. Ive come across many hard working drivers through the years and know there are hard days.. though again they get their job done leaving the customer satisfied. Tonights driver was the complete opposite. Rushed/ blantantly unaccomidating. Assisting to properly adjust a small sedan in a spot is too daunting for some these days. read more

horrible experience here. I was in a motorcycle accident and was picked up by an ambulance. My bike was towed to this company. I get out of the hospital, take a day to recover and call the company to ask how to go about getting my bike back. The owner of the company says I owe $265 plus $55 for every day my bike is in the lot. I asked the owner if there was any way to avoid paying the additional $55 fee and he FREAK OUT on me, started CUSSING and yelling about how I don't understand ANYTHING about how towing works. GARBAGE!!!! NEVER WORK WITH THEM!!! theyre named dicks for a reason. Horrible company, absolute trash. They towed a suburban that i bought and they crashed it through a tree while it was on the tow truck. The tow truck driver also unloaded the suburban halfway in my driveway with the hood sticking out in the middle of the street, and refused to unload it properly. I got a flat on my motorcycle near Lake Cuyamaca on highway 79 on a Saturday morning. I called AAA and they said a driver would be dispatched within an hour. Brian from Dick's Towing showed up in less than an hour. I had no idea that I'd have to have it towed 50 miles to San Diego to get the tire fixed. We had to get about halfway down the mountain before I had a decent enough signal to call around. This was the first time I had my bike towed so I was a little anxious about the whole process. Brian was awesome. He was careful with my bike and thorough in making sure it was secured properly. And he's a pretty cool dude on top of that. Was heading out for an Independence Day camping/off-roading trip. My husband was in the lead with the travel trailer, I was towing my son's Jeep on a trailer, and my son was driving hubby's Jeep in front of me. If your car ever breaks down on Interstate 8 in San Diego County, call Dick's Towing. The first towing company my insurance called hadn't arrived and I had been waiting over an hour. I finally had Internet/phone connection and searched for towing companies. I called Dick's and within 30 minutes our car was on the tow truck and we were on our way to the mechanic. This company responded to my call to roadside assistance. I stupidly locked my keys in my trunk after a hike at Stonewall Peak. I was parked at Paso Picacho campground, nearly an hour from the city. It did take over an hour and a half for the truck to show up after my call, but part of that was probably due to the go-between b/w the insurance company and the tow truck dispatch. Anyway, Brian from Dick's towing went out of his way to help me. He unlocked the car quickly, but we were having trouble getting into the trunk after realizing the back seats didn't fold down/ no lever. He removed the bolts on the back seat and basically crawled into a tiny hole into the trunk to get the keys. I had no good alternative and Brian went above and beyond in my book.
