    I went to the store to return some soccer shoes I had been trying out. Before buying, I…read morespecifically asked the salesperson if returns were allowed, and I was assured there wouldn't be an issue. I was also told I could return the shoes at any location. When I went to a different store to return them, they outright refused, wouldn't even offer store credit, and treated me terribly. The staff, who appeared to be a security guard and possibly a manager, were rude and unhelpful. This was a horrible experience, and I do not recommend this Big 5 location. If you're looking for decent customer service, avoid this store and go to another one, or possible another city--anywhere but here. If I could rate my experience it'll be a negative 1. Improvements I'd recommend would be new staff or at least training on good customer service.

I called back because I wanted to make sure I brought in the correct documents to purchase the rounds. The person was not clear so I asked, "are you saying I need to bring in ........". She said yes. When I got there, Leslie the store manager told me I needed additional documents. I said, I verified what I needed over the phone. She said, she was told I called back and the other person was trying to explain it to me. I told Leslie what I was told. She said, "this is Monday, I want to have a good day, and I don't want to argue." (A comment I believe was rude. I was misinformed and now being blamed because of it) I was trying to have a good day. I called twice to get information so I would not be wasting my time, energy, and gas. It is frustrating to do what you are told you need to do and be mis informed. Leslie did not apologize for her employees poor communication and she did not say she will provide the employee with additional training so the miscommunication does not occur with other customers. Leslie displayed poor customer service and poor management. I gave her 1 star.

Apparently they don't do balloons anymore and won't fill them for you like Dollar Tree does so don't come here for balloons. You can get cupcakes for birthdays at an amazingly low price. They're not bad cupcakes but do not expect consistency. I ordered two batches of cupcakes for the same day but in separate orders. My orders were identical but I received two completely different sets of cupcakes. The colors were different and only one set had sprinkles. At that point, Evette told me that I had to wait because another customer who did not have enough money needed to finish paying for their items first. Her behavior was very odd and unprofessional: she was physically blocking the register with her body, which made me uncomfortable, so I decided to go to another register at self‑checkout. I first went to one register but noticed that the customer I believed would be finished was still completing his transaction, so I went back and formed a line again. At that moment, Evette came to me and told me I had to "stand behind" because she said I had cut in line. I calmly explained that I had not cut in line, but she ignored my explanation and continued treating me as if I had done something wrong. I felt harassed, disrespected, and singled out by Evette's attitude and actions. Her conduct made my shopping experience very uncomfortable and unacceptable for a store of Walmart's size and reputation.
