The sales associate was very helpful and stayed with me for 30 mins while I hit drivers before finally finding the right one.

The local store is understaffed. The staff was really not very helpful. I ended up ordering stuff…read morefrom the Internet from their store a month ago. I'm still waiting for the delivery to the store. After two weeks I called the store and was put on hold for no less than 15 minutes and was told I needed it a SKU number. The tracking number on the order is not related to any known mail delivery service. I was told by customer service that it means nothing. I was informed that a West Marine delivery truck left from one of the Carolinas last week and had to deliver to every store along the way until they gets to New Hampshire. I'm still waiting.

If I could sum up my West Marine experience today it would be in the negative numbers as the steam…read moreis still coming out my ears. I was at the Peabody store, and asked for a hand held electric horn. The overly solicitous and somewhat condescending gentleman did not believe me there was such a thing. So he walked me over to the horn section to show me there was no such thing.....at which point I informed him again it is on the catalog. So then I stood there while he looked it up. Voila....and seabrook had one. We called ahead to hold it and then drive up. At Seabrook the customer service was no less irritating. Two registers open. One where several of the staff was working with one man at length....all of them staring at the computer. The second one operated by a young lady. The other young lady in front of me was rather chatty, had to run back for a price on something that she couldn't find? And kept chatting even after she paid. I finally interrupted and asked if she knew where they were holding my ELECTRIC air horn. (At this point there was quite alone behind me too) and was told that I had to go to customer service..... So I sat there for a while, alone at first, and then Jed Clampett showed up with another salesman. The idle conversation was no less infuriating.... Another person came over to look up something for someone else, and I grabbed him and asked him for my air horn. I took it back to stand in line, and finally left. I'm not sure whether the lack of intelligence or courtesy in their stores is a plot by West Marine to get us to shop more online, but at this time I am happily in support of a conspiracy theory....

I'm writing this review to get someone's attention from this company. I have emailed and called…read morewith no response. My husband and I both got fitted, his are great and for two years I've been trying to "break them in". The cramping I'm getting is extremely painful! I went to a local boot fitter to see if they could help since Hampton NH is far for me. This fitter is extremely experienced and fitted the world cup team back when he introduced Mikaela Shiffrin to her first sponsor. So he knows his stuff in other words. One look at my foot and calf and his words that this is not the stype of set up for me. The strolz foam filled boot is for someone with thin legs, high arch and thin calves - thats my husband, I'm the opposite. He removed the custom lining put in a stock lining left over from another off the shelf boot (Free of charge) and now my cramping is gone. I'm left with a partial plastic boot holding the stock insert since the bulk of this boot is really the foam filled insert. According to this boot fitter, my foot arch and calf combined do not make me a candidate for this type of custom boot fit. During the process at Strolz it was hard for the fitter to find something that worked with my calf and at that point my feeling was that I should give up but he pushed on that he would make it work. I wish I listented to my gut and just stopped the process right there. I'm sick to my stomach that we paid so much for custom boots that I cannot even use. Trying to reach strolz to get a refund for these "lifetime" boots that are uselss to me now. I hope to hear from someone there soon!

I took my son here to find him custom fit boots to fit his feet after years of discomfort in both…read moreski boots and snowboard boots. The service and product exceeded my expectations. It was awesome. My husband and I both have custom boots from different places in Utah, but next time we need new boots, I'm making the trip here. This is real quality and care.
