Nice enough location. Store usually neat and organized. So public bathrooms are just that, public bathrooms but their bathrooms were so fetid and disgusting my husband and I were so turned off we just quit the store for the Mall. Not okay. They sell pricey higher end merchandise and people spending their money there deserve better. read more

It's good to see Dick's in business still, even during these tough times. They've been around for so long, even in the original location which carries many of the sports apparel, exercise equipment, fishing, and hunting, etc. Most of these items (mainly sports) usually get moved around during the change of season, so be on the lookout for that. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable during our experience, and willing to give certain detail about products, which is great. I see this store doing well in the many years to come. read more

I've had a great experience with Dick's in the past few months. I haven't been going into stores much to shop due to covid and have been relying on online shopping. Dick's offers curbside pickup and it has been such a great feature. I've used the curbside pickup a few times now. It's really easy. You just pull into a designated spot and start check in through an email that was sent when you were notified that your items were ready. An associate quickly brings out your items and can leave them anywhere you'd prefer (passenger seat, trunk, etc). It's been really helpful and fast. It also limits the need to enter a store and potentially become at risk or put others at risk. I've been pleased and will continue to use this service whenever I place an order. read more

I mean I would usually never take the time to write a review about a big department store like DSG, but it's absolutely necessary. As someone who spends A LOT of time in different stores, I think I have a decent idea of what's unacceptable. Time & time again, shopping in this particular store, I find the cashiers are the SLOWEST MOVING HUMANS I've ever experienced. I just spent 29 minutes on line with 5 people in front of me. Although they are often nice, they have NO idea how to remove security tags, void a transaction, apply a coupon, change the printer paper. It takes FOREVER and it doesn't help that it's like 600°F in there...God I hope someone sees this, TRAIN YOUR PEOPLE. It's been several years since Dick's moved and expanded into its current space in the Poughkeepsie Galleria Mall. It was definitely worth it. This version of the store is immense. The center and left side have more basic sports supplies and clothing. There are also "sportsmen" specialty departments in various areas for things like hunting and fishing. In the fitness/exercise area, they have a reasonable number of pieces of exercise equipment, weights, accessories, etc. Unfortunately they don't necessarily have all the popular brands, and since they are the only really large store if its type in the area, if they don't carry it, you probably have to resort to online shopping. I would not say their prices are always competitive, particularly for larger items. In those cases, shop wisely, watch for sales, and perhaps use the discount coupons they have in every incarnation of Entertainment books. I've found their staff to be quite helpful. They have employees patrolling the aisles most of the time. Their cashiers are knowledgeable and friendly. When I've bought large items here (such as a treadmill many many years ago), they spent as much time as possible help me the the large and bulky equipment into my truck, even in January when it was 5 below 0. read more

Nothing bad or good about this location. They have plenty of clothes and sporting goods. Of course. Prices can be a little steep and I was disappointed that they don't carry Native shoes in this location as they do in others. I was searching for some new workout clothing but there was no one in sight to open up the fitting room. I did get there at opening though so I guess that was why. read more

One of the worst experiences with customer service ever. I was asking for a product that they sell on their online store and the lady that picked up answered in the most condensing and rude tone ever. She acted completely unhappy to answer my call like I was interrupting her precious time with the most annoying question ever. If a physical store is going to hire someone to pick up the phone, why would they get the most nasty and unprofessional person to handle their phone calls? For all she knew I was planning on spending hundreds of dollars at their store. I have never wasted my time leaving a review for a company because I believe most businesses deserve a second or third chance. However this lady not only treated me like garbage for absolutely no reason, but she also cut me short and hanged up on me like a jerk. This store consistantly lets me down. I went in today to grab some fishing stuff as I had time to kill before going to the movies. The selection was poor. In this day and age the variety of fishing equipment out there is tremendous, and they are lacking as far as variety. Gander puts them to shame. I wanted Tubes - Had a choice of 2 colors when in other stores Id have about 30 choices. Wanted tube jig heads - Had only 1 option. Etc... Also, try to find an employee! They are understaffed all the time in the hunting/fishing department. I will say that there are 2 or 3 really good employees who work there who are knowledgeable, but at other times there are snot nosed teenagers who know it all or are bothered by your presence. It burns me up when I see 3 employees stocking $65.00 UA tee shirts when I cant get help for a firearm. I honestly only shop here whwn forced to by convenience as I live close by. I bought a bike here once and this Guy uh Daniel helped me. Friendly guy, he even let me keep the bike there for a bit because it wouldn't fit in my car. Although he test rode it before I even did, I still enjoyed it and its a nice bike. read more

I always have great experiences in dicks sporting goods chain, but this location was not good at all. Was in the store around 8:40-50 went in no problems looked around for a basketball hoop once i found the one i wanted, one nice employee looked asian kindly gave us the price and even joked around a little then went back to doing her job, when i finally made my decision to buy one i asked another employee a ginger lady and she said there is no one working in this department, her response was, i can't help you we are closing, so i went to the front desk and asked to purchase the hoop and a lady said we are closed and you aren't able to buy it right now, (at 9:00) at the dot and about 8 staff around some sitting on the counter so i walked out and may never shop here again. I find it very lazy that the employee's of this dicks sporting goods didn't even make and effort to help me out into buying the hoop, I would not recommend this store to anyone as there are no prices on any of there items, they have jacked up all there prices like a Wilson a1010 baseball that's about 7-9 dollars a ball they are selling for $13. This store in general is upsetting and wouldn't recommend anyone to go if u are looking for help in purchasing items or looking for prices. I have spent thousands of dollars in this store. Bought 2 bikes, a $450 gun, ammo, all my workout clothes, odds and ends and tons of workout equipment. I stopped in to hopefully get a serious running shoe today and there was 1 person working there and 3 waiting? I had wanted to ask a couple questions but felt pressured because the other people had been waiting a while. I left and bought $130 sneakers on Zappos. Will reconsider using this store again.
