Sales associate, Wendy, actually measured and did pressure analysis of my friend's gait. After watching her attention to detail, I asked if she had taken pedorthic fitters courses? I didn't tell her who I was. Haven't seen such attention to detail and custom service in decades! The majority of places, nowadays, that claim to sell shoes, have a couple of people standing around, that basically fill in stock or act as cashiers. She made suggestions as to what would be most appropriate, for his feet and conditions; not what is the most expensive shoe, she could sell. They have clothing, accessories, and other merchandise related to running and hiking. They can make inserts for your shoes, they also have them premade. There are boxes of various sized foot coverings to try shoes on with if you didn't wear socks. Never a good idea, unless you're wearing flip-flops.
