Clearly this store does not believe in customer service. Bought two mountain bikes there this weekend on the first ride a shifter broke. Called in and said the bike tech would be in on Wednesday. Got in the store they said they would get the bike tech. Then they said the bike tech was not in. Asked to speak with Eli who was the manager who took my call. He said he was too busy dealing with schedule and Covid and that his employees mattered and did not care about customer service. Eli sounds like he is not up to task to bring the manager of the store. I asked when someone would be able to look at it and he said he didn't know and that it wasn't a big deal and we should be more understanding. Dude was super busy, but did his best to help us amongst the crowd. They have just about every type of athletic shoes and style you could want...if they don't run out of stock for your size. Be careful when you buy something from Dicks as they ring you out. First of all you cant see what they are ringing at their registers. I had a few items that were supposed to be 50%off. I asked the girl Amanda if it showed 50% off when ringing and she said NO. I told her there was a sign that showed 50% off. I had to wait 10-15 minutes for her to confirm the same. Finally she marks the receipt incorrect sign. How many hundreds of other customers got ripped off by this company. I anted to let customer service know and calling them was a joke. The person did not know the customer service phone number at Corporate. I go online to get the number and they tell me I have to start at the store level and go thru channels. Keep your channels cauz ill shop elsewhere. read more

Waited 20 mins in the athletic shoe dept to try on running shoes. They had 2 people working in that dept and one guy who finally waited on us was soooooooo slow. I told him what size, he scanned the shoe to make sure they had the size in stock, they did, and he got 3 feet away from me and said "what size again" ... he wzs in the back room for 7 mins and finally came out with the wrong shoe! How is that possible? I asked him questions, he had no clue! I will go to a different place for my needs. read more

If a consumer is paying marked up prices to shop at Dick's, then you would think that the customer service would be at least somewhat existent. It was like pulling teeth to get anyone to help me. Even then it was less then sub-par. Worst. Ever read more

Spent 35 dollars on socks and they wouldn't break a $20 bill for me, the cashier called a manager up just to tell me no because it's a company policy ???? It's the little things guys... We went to get new golf clubs and needed to compare brands. Andy, the golf associate, was outstanding! He spent 90 minutes with us in the simulator and educating us on every detail. When asked about coupons, he set us up with a great deal. We are now fans for life! Thank you Andy! read more

This store is very nice and clean. Also well put together. They have a variety of things to choose from such as sports gear and athletic shoes. I got some nice hats at a decent price. The staff is kind and courtesy like answering a question or you need help on finding something. Also Sarah is a nice girl and she is very helpful. She know her stuff inside and out when you need help. Also this store is well put together with including the PGA Tour Store too as well. Reminds me of the one in Champaign, IL with the variety of many things to offer to customers in many different ways and styles. read more

ONLY good thing about this store is it is nice and big and clean. Like the others have said, customer service is not a priority with the employees. We had to walk around the entire store to find someone to tell us that "we are the only Dicks that doesn't sell ammo", and proceeded to try to direct us to the next closest store, Deer Valley. Of course they wouldn't tell us that C2 Tactical was literally walking distance away with a great selection! read more

I am so dissatisfied with the Bike Repair at Dick's Sporting Goods on Mayo in Scottsdale. I took my bike in for a tuneup and wanted new tubes put in both tires as there was a slow leak in the front tire. After 6 days my bike was finally ready for pick up. I took it home, and went out to ride the next morning. The back tire was flat. I put air in it, but is leaked out. I took it back in to Dick's Sporting Goods and they replaced the back tube . I had to wait another 6 Days to pick it up. I took it home, and the next morning I started to go out for a ride. No, the front tire was flat, I filled it with air, but again it wouldn't hold it. I decided to change it myself. I found two thorns stuck in the tire, that the repair man at Dick's should have found and removed when he replaced the first tube. The next day the back tire was flat. I replaced that tube myself and found thorns in that tire that the repairman should have found and removed. And the nozzle they had on the back tube was so foreign I couldn't connect it to ant air compressor. I will not go back to Dick's and I certainly will not recommend anyone else to go there! I wasted a lot of money there! read more

Went to this location looking for a pair of comfortable work shoes for being on my feet for eight hours. Looked at the standard nikes however Don in footwear was very insightful as to looking at a different brand that provided more comfort and the correct support needed for my job. Despite it being busy I was in and out of there within 10 minutes. Hard working, insightful and polite. Will be coming back to this location for footwear in the future. read more

Stay Away !! For anything related to hiking, I would NOT recommend Dick's. I bought a pair of expensive hiking shoes. After 67 days, the sole was separating. They said their exchange policy was 60 days and there was nothing I could do. There is a reason their stock has dropped over 50% and they are closing stores. Wonderful sale this weekend on bikes and outstanding experience with Seamus, who spent over an hour with us working on getting the right bikes for kids - even called the Prescott valley store and arranged for us to pick one up there at the current sales price even though the sale will have ended by then. From now on our go-to store for sports stuff. read more
