Purchased item online and a few days later had not received item. Checked on status and they cancelled sale and never notified me. This was an item that was discounted. When I called, the gave a short apology and offered a 15% discount coupon with many restrictions. Horrible service. No wonder Amazon is putting brick and mortar retailers out of business! read more

Went here to pick up a tennis hopper and some balls. They wanted $50 for the hopper. Went to Tennis Plaza and bought the same one for $25. The prices at Dick's have gotten outrageous. read more

The only reason I bothered to write a review is because the cashier was so horrible I felt the need to. Edward.. needs some retraining. This man moved with 0 purpose. I felt that when I said I didn't want to sign up for points he gave me the attitude of "eff it". He was soooooo sloooooow it was obnoxious. He didn't fold any of my clothes and literally just threw them crumbled in a bag. I mean common, spending 40 bucks on a couple shirts at least fold them for me and don't throw them in a bag. The buy online and pick up in store is terrible at this store. It takes forever. Every time I've been my item is being "retrieved" per to automated monitor, but after ten minutes I had to ask one of the cashiers what was going on. Then they had to call on the headsets to the back to inform them that I was waiting. I bought a golf club and on the paper is had under special instruction that it came with a headcover. After 20 minutes of waiting for my club to come out with out a head cover, I had to ask them where it was. I then had to wait another 20 minutes for somebody to unlock the stock room and find the headcover that came with the club. Total waste of time. read more

I will never use Dicks again. I coach four sports and donate a lot of my free time helping the kids in my Community. I have a Kid on my hockey team, whose family has been struggling during this pandemic. I wanted to help, so I bought all his equipment and paid express shipping so he could have it in time. It was supposed to come on Tuesday, didn't show. Said it would be here Wednesday, didn't show. He needed it for Thursday. I called Thursday. I was told it wouldn't be here until Friday. I now must go to practice and tell this kid, that not only do I have no equipment for him, but he can't participate either. The amount of Depression and Anxiety I feel, having to do this is destroying me inside. All I wanted was to help out kid whose family has been hit with some hard times and now I'm left sitting here sick and depressed. I will never shop at Dicks again because I never want to have this feeling again. read more

This was absolutely the worse experience I have ever had with online shopping!!I chose "overnight" shipping and was charged $15.99. I am now into the 4th day. Explanation is it takes 4-6 business days to process then it will be overnighted. Ludicrous! All of my past experience is once overnight is chosen the distribution process become priority to ensure the overnight takes place. Dicks ordering process states 4-6 days when selecting standard shipping but not with 2 day or overnight. I contacted the customer service line; this too was laughable! They informed me that customer service has no way of checking on the actual status of an order by speaking with anyone, they have to send an email and may take 4-6 days to receive a response. Their motto an answer for everything is 4-6 days. They have lost a customer, I will never shop at a Dick's store or online again!!! read more

Absolutely love the store and organization. Staff is great, especially this one particular employee by the name of Hyago, very helpful and knowledgable of items. Try to find anyone in the bike section. No one there ever. Only section that is properly staffed is the guns and fishing sections. Went there to find swim gear...no help walking around, front desk personnel (only 2 visible) busy with checkouts. It appears that besides 1 person at guns and 1 in fishing, there are only 2 other people on the entire floor. I go in here all the time and never see more than that. Ugh. read more

Went in earlier today to purchase a 10x10 canopy tent (advertised in store and online for $49.98) plus we had a coupon sent by Dick's for 20% one item with no exclusions on sale items. The store had a very long line despite having 6 registers open. When we finally made it to the register to pay, the item was ringing up for the wrong price ($59.99) but we didn't notice until after paying $51.35 ($59.99 - 20% off). Before leaving the store, we had to return to the register to have them return the purchase and correct it. Thats when Karen, the manager, had to get involved. I don't know if she was stressed out due to the store being full, but she really needs to return to a customer service training. Before listening to the situation in full or even taking a glance at the receipt, she refused to listen to me when I was telling her the coupon was valid as it had scanned the first time it was used (when the item rung up for the wrong price). She walked away to help another employee and continued to argued with me that it was impossible, yet without even looking at the receipt or coupon first. After much debate and lots of frustration on my end, she finally corrected the price and honored the coupon;however, she left a very bad impression for all involved. Probably better off purchasing online next time. read more

1. There weren't any employees trained to know the products at the store on Sunday in particular the golf club products. How can you sell golf clubs on Saturday and Sunday if you don't know how to size a person to a golf club length? 2. There was only 1 cashier. 3. The customer who asked for assistance had to wait too long for assistance. 4. The cashier was polite and friendly but I think it was probably a management problem because management didn't have enough cashiers, didn't have people trained to understand their product available on the weekend and apparently there weren't enough employees to assist customers. But the cashier should have been able to type my name in correctly given that she had my drivers license. This is what happened. I went there this morning at 10am looking for women's golf clubs. I'm 5'3" so I wanted to be sized to figure out if I should get petite clubs or regular sized women's clubs. The fellow that assisted me said, just by the regular size and we'll cut it down to size. I said, I don't want to buy clubs until I know what size is appropriate for me. He says, you don't need that just get the standard size. I said, do you have an expert on golf clubs here? He said there were two and they work Monday through Friday and would be in on Monday at 9am. I said, I'll be back then. I went ahead and picked up some golf balls, a book on golf swings, etcetera and went to the cash register. I get in line and wait. A customer walks up and asks the cashier to send someone to help her. I didn't see the cashier call for anyone to help the customer. There is nobody in front of me, just the one person at the register buying something. I continue to wait. Then the person leaves and I go to make my purchase. Again the customer comes up and asks for someone to be called and sent to her for assistance. The cashier again tells her someone will be there but does nothing to call for assistance. She says may I have your first and last name? I gave her my driver license so she could copy it. She spelled the name Sherley. She asks me if I want to apply for credit. I said okay. But when she corrected my name she wrote Sh capital I rley. I said, wait a second if you do that there will be a discrepancy with my name and my other credit cards. I said, the name needs to be spelled the same as my driver license. She said, sorry I can't do that because I can only edit your name in all upper case. I was wondering how she got my name in the first time although misspelled with upper and lower case and now she only has upper case available. I said, never mind about the credit, I'll just pay with my bank card. In the meantime, a woman who was the only other person waiting at the cash register began to yell that she had waited too long. The customer who had been walking up and asking for assistance walked up again while the person waiting in line was yelling and said she had asked over and over for help and nobody had come to assist her. I paid for my merchandise and left hearing the other two customers complaining heavily. read more

Bought a new pair of snow goggles, Gyro Cruz model. Took 7 days to ship, and the box is Gyro Cruz box, but the pair of goggles is Gyro Focus model, and you can buy Gyro Focus for much cheaper than Gyro Cruz! Customer service refused to expedite shipping for the new item despite the fact it was entirely their fault, so we had to delay a skiing trip because of it! read more

I recently had a, not so decent, experience at Golf Galaxy which is owned by Dicks. I went in to speak to a manager and had the privilege of speaking to Natasha Nieves. I told her about my experience at galaxy and she rectified the issue and she made the experience much better. I am in there a couple times a month and everyone is very nice and knowledgeable. read more
