As I was walking in, a sales person walked right across my path on his way to help a gentleman in the apparel section, not acknowledging my pressence at all. I needed a new putter so headed over to the putters and started trying a few out. A few minutes later said sales person walked right across the path of my ball to select a club cover for the customer. Again never acknowledging my pressence in any way whatsoever nor the fact that he walked right in front of me. Once he had finished checking out the customer, he headed to the back of the shop and started talking to someone back there, not a customer by the sounds of it. Again, not acknowledging me at all.... I spent close to 10 mins in the shop with no assistance. I am now the proud owner of a new putter from Dick's.

I was looking for a particular item and they did not carry it, but the woman I spoke to said they would get it ordered for the store and that it would be in within 7-10 days. Since their nationwide competitor had it on the shelf they ordered a case to have it in stock for everyone. Take a moment to think about how impressive that is. Flip the scenario and but a big box retailer in that position. Would they immediately put an item on their next order from a vendor to stock it in the store? Does the store manager even have that power? Or would they be more likely to direct you to their website? Very few of us will ever run into Bezos at the supermarket, so why line his pockets? No big deal, just send in the shoe and get the right one back, or literally any other simple solution. Wrong. They told me the only way I can return or exchange my item is if I go back to that store, since it was in person and not online. The closest JD to me is 3 hours away. They refuse to help and or even listen to me try and explain it is impossible for me to make that trip simply because I bought them on vacation. I talked to multiple customer service agents on the phone, and all I got was crappy reception and rude women. Extremely disappointed. Will always buy straight from Nike. Although this is not entirely the Cape Cod store's fault, I wanted to warn anyone before purchasing from any JD location that if there is anything wrong with your purchase it will stay wrong and no one will even try to resolve it.
