I like dicks it's great it's the new sports Authority. I order a lot online and use the store to just return if I don't like it the store is not usually fully stocked so it's hard to shop in the store. I noticed some of the customer service at the store definitely can need some training. They have a little bit too many kids working there but when the manager step in they're usually more than helpful. Plenty of parking in the parking lot, it's a good location in Aventura read more

I wanted to get new tennis/running shoes, and since Dick's has been so awesome in terms of gun control protest, I decided to spend my money on this store, instead of going to Aventura Mall. The only guy in the sneakers area did not care about me. As a matter of fact, every time I pointed the tennis I wanted on my size, he checked on his little device and said "no, we don't have it". I asked almost 5 times for different sneakers. The answer was always no. Seen his demeanour I realised what the issue was: He didn't want to be bothered going to the back of the store to get the sneakers, so that's why his answer was always the same. I left, and now that I'm thinking about it, the store was almost empty. What a shame!! I truly wanted to support this store, but one employee -and one employee only- made that task impossible. read more

Though this Dick's Sporting Goods location only has 2.5 stars as of this writing, they did alright by me on this visit. I had purchased an item over the phone via a Dick's customer service representative, specifically so the rep could tell me which Dick's location had the item in stock and could reserve one for me to pick up. When I arrived here, they were unable to find the item and had no record of my order. I was pretty unhappy, as I'd called Dick's specifically to buy this item and get it from a store that they knew would have it in stock, and I'd driven all the way up to Aventura to get it! I told the manager at this store the entire saga I'd been through (this wasn't the first flub up with this particular order, and this was the second store I'd been sent to because of a comedy of errors on their company's part). I pulled up the e-mail saying the item was being held for me here, and I told him I was calling Dick's corporate to find out what had happened. After I'd been on the phone (and on perpetual hold) for a few minutes, the manager approached me, told me they didn't have the exact item I wanted in stock, but they did have it in 3 other colors and he offered me the same discount I'd have received had I bought this item on the internet or the via the rep I spoke to on the phone. I explained that I'd already purchased a coordinating item in the color I wanted (also at the discounted price) and asked if he'd offer me the discount for both items I wanted so I could get them both in the same color, and both for the price I was offered when I'd initially called. He hesitated but then said "OK". I ended up only buying the 1 item, but I need to give the guy kudos for doing what he could to try and make me happy and he truly offered great customer service. Simply put, he turned a crappy and aggravating situation into a positive one! read more

We are planning a hiking trip to Machu Picchu and we need a bunch of stuff and Dicks has everything we need. We got thermal under layers along with hiking boots and gloves. I went to this location yesterday afternoon to pick up a volleyball. The volleyball area was unorganized but we did find the volleyball we were looking for. Sticker price was $35.99. I asked a worker in that area if she could pump the ball for us. She instructed us to take to the front checkout area and they would take care of it. We go to checkout, and the girl at the register tells us they don't pump the balls, but we could purchase a pump..... really? So don't plan on getting a fully pumped ball at this sporting goods store. So I see her actually look at the ticket and scan it. Total was $43 something. I was shocked, thinking $7 in tax. I get the receipt, am on my way out, and notice the ball rang up for $40.99. So I go back to her and tell her it rang up different than the sticker price. She said, "yeah I see that it rang up for more and that happens when it's been sitting on the shelf a while and the price goes up. But I can give you a return on that." So she knowingly let me pay $5 more than the sticker price?? Plus my ball wasn't fully pumped? So disappointing. You'd think a sporting goods store would at least make sure they sell their balls in proper working condition. And if a price rings up wrong, fix it!! I am super disappointed with this whole experience and feel Dicks is nothing but a scammer store. I will buy my sporting goods elsewhere where they actually care about the customer. This store doesn't even deserve 1 star. My husband ordered curbside pickup for 3 Tampa Bay jerseys through their website and paid with ApplePay. He received a confirmation email from the store saying it was ready for pick up. When he got to the store they treated him with nothing but disrespect. My husband is African American, 6'5 and played football for FSU and the moment he walked into the store they didn't want to help him. They said they didn't have any of the jerseys in stock. They showed 0 concern that they told him it was ready for pick up via email and told him the refund would take up to 9 days. They were very disrespectful and unhelpful. I visited this location about 3 years ago and absolutely no one was in there shopping. I see now why no one shops there. read more

Only reason I'm writing a 5 star review is because of Max. Shout out to Max he assisted me in bringing out soccer shoes from the back when I told him that it was showing the store still had one pair left in their inventory online. I originally was going to buy a wrong pair and the cashier up front didn't even attempt to help me look for the right one, he just stated if it's not over there then they don't have it. Dicks return policy does not account for sneakers that u wore once and crippled your back etc to allow for exchange or partial credit. I will never shop locally, particularly Dicks Sporting for that very extreme policy. it's much safer to buy from any reputable store( except Dicks) , online knowing if u r not satisfied they will accommodate you. read more

Have been looking to try a Gait Analysis to find the perfect running shoe. I called ahead to make sure this store had the system and they advised they did. I arrived the same day to complete the process. After about 20 minutes waiting for an employee in the shoe department, the employee advised that person that does the Gait Analysis does not work on Sundays. This should have been communicated on the phone prior to the customer wasting their time. read more

A special thanks to my family in Virginia who explained Dicks policy when it comes to price match. We go to the location in Aventura, and are told that the "grey" option is not "clear enough" and we are not able to price match. This is a brand name item, with coded details that match the same coded information to the product they have on site. I wanted to make the deal happen with Dicks because of my family explaining how accommodating they are. I called them and asked what were the cheapest dumbbells they had and they told me $20 if I wanted a set of 10 pound dumbbells. $1 per pound. When I come in and ask for the same person I spoke to on the phone, he told me that is the price of the weights and that I asked about the prices of the weights and not the dumbbells. At first I told him that wasn't the case and he started telling me actually it was. Even after I said there was probably a miscommunication, he felt the need to mention that in fact I asked the wrong question one last time. I figured since he worked there I would ask him what weight I should start with since I have not worked out in years. Every answer he gave was I don't know as he shrugged his shoulders. It's bad enough to be told that I was wrong even though he misheard me but to ask an employee at a Sports store about sport activities and have him shrug and say I don't know is abysmal.
