Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Has an amazing selection for a local bait shop. It's location to dania pier is also a plus

    View from road.

Great store, good stock, but the real gem here is the owner. Just go in there and tell him what you are out to fish for and he will tell you EXACTLY how to rig for it and when to go out for it. Can't say enough about his knowledge and willingness to impart knowledge, which is rare sometimes as you get the ego driven pros what aren't willing to impart some knowledge on the average fisherman. 10 stars.

This is a small bait shop in Dania Beach. They have a prime location since there in the way to John L park and the Dania Beach fishing Pier. They have a large selection of tackle. Several custom hooks or named brand like Eagle Claw or Owner. They also have a good selection of pyramid, egg, clip or tear drop weights. They also have 4 freezers of frozen bait. Ballyhoo, Sardine, Spanish Sardine, Hearing, Silverside, Squid, Shrimp, Mullet, Etc. They also have fresh bait. Now fresh bait is seasonal, so it depends. You can't expect fresh bait at any bait shop during off season for that specific bait. For example, you can't expect fresh live shrimp all the time, if it's not caught locally it's needs to me caught off the boat then brought into the bait shop or Ballyhoo can be scarce as well during off season, need to go on the boat and go deep to catch and bring to the bait shop. So of you guys going to the pier to fish it prime to by a Sabiki and bring a small telescope rod to try to catch you own bait. They also have the Sabiki you will need plus other fishing needs such as casting nets, knifes, spoons and lures like Rapala and Gotcha plugs for those Macks and Jacks. Stop on by if your on your way to the pier.

Cool little fishing supply ship on way to Dania beach pier. Prices are good and staff is willing to help. Their prices are usually cheaper than other bait and tackle shop

You can find your live bait here!

Review Highlights - Angler's Bait and Tackle

We've been to many bait shops in the surrounding areas and found that most don't like to share "info" on where to fish, what to use, or insider knowledge on fishing.

Looked up online for live shiners to purchase. This place came up a lot of times and had good…read morereviews. I decided to try them out. The first time I went they were out of medium sized shiners, but after looking at them the smaller ones were good size. I went to the lake and they were great lots of action to them. I probably caught 6-7 bass with them. The next time I went I went early in the AM just when they opened at 6am they had medium sizes in and they did not disappoint in size. My only regret was catching little dinks with them on such a good size shiner. Good guys inside as well easy to talk to and ask question. This will be my go to going forward for live bait. They also had a good selection of items inside.

I grew up coming to this bait shop and while it's crazy to see how much has developed around it,…read moreit's really great to know it's still here! There are some choice fishing spots around the Plantation/Sawgrass/Davie/Weston areas, and this shop is on the way to many of them. I was in town visiting my family and wanted to take my kids fishing, and nothing works better than some live shiners for whatever might be swimming in the lakes and canals of Plantation. I grabbed two kids combos at Walmart and a couple dozen shiners, and we SLAYED the peacocks with a few nearing the 3lb mark. I'm not sure who was having more fun, the kids or me as I helped them land these beasts on the lightest of tackle, including a silly push button Paw Patrol rod with only two eyelets! Like everything, bait has gotten expensive, about $20/dozen, but the smiles on the kids faces and these memories are worth every penny! I am so glad I had the time to make this happen for all of us, and that BJ's was still there to get us what we needed! So if you want to go, this is the spot to stop. The shop has everything you need to get outside and all the advice to go with it. Go fish!
