I stopped in on my way to work and ordered a breakfast chorizo burrito, and it was easily the worst food I've had in a long time. The beans tasted old, like they'd been sitting for weeks, and completely overpowered everything else. It was honestly terrible, and the aftertaste lingered (I can still taste how terrible it was). I live in Tacoma, where a new California Burrito recently opened, and the quality there is significantly better. I hope that location maintains its standards, because this one (in Des Moines WA) will never get my money again with their terrible food.

The shawarma plate had fresh veggies, even more hummus, and tons of chicken and rice. Everything was well cooked and delicious. The service was very fast, and the employee I talked to was so friendly! He gave me a free maple donut to snack on while I waited for my to-go order. It paired very nicely with the delicious Karak tea. Inside, the restaurant is very clean and home-y with nice decorations and lots of tables. I will 100% be back here! The menu is large with plenty of vegetarian options alongside the typical meat shawarma plates, gyros, and sandwiches. They also have a wide selection of donuts, sweets, and American food if someone in your group isn't a huge fan of Mediterranean. I made mine a meal and got it with fries and you can choose from four different types of seasoning for your fries or get them plain. I got mine with the furikake seasoning which was nice and added that umami flavor profile perfectly. You also get to choose dipping sauce and I went with more Katsu sauce, but they have five or six others that looked good. I chose a lychee oolong tea in a bottle from the cooler as my meal drink, but you could also get a fountain drink or upgrade to a milkshake if you prefer All in all, this is a really really cool creative twist on classic burger spot. They also serve some bento boxes and Katsu style hotdog at this Kent location here. The bathroom was really clean as was the lobby and the open kitchen.
