I'm so disappointed in their service. Found them by googling lawn mower repair. They offer free…read morepickup and drop off, which is great. They told me it would be a few days to come pickup my riding mower, which was cool. I don't want to write a book so I'll just list it out: 1. Were kind enough to wait around 15 minutes for us to get home as we didn't know they were on the way. (We gave them a tip for this). Paid the fee for diagnosis in cash at time of pickup. Driver was very nice. 2. Was told it'd take a week to diagnose. 3. Week goes by. No call. We call and are told they'd get to it that afternoon. No call. 4. We called next day. Still not diagnosed. Week and 2 days now. They say by that afternoon and we'd get a call that day. 5. Another 3 days go by. We call after thinking I saw it sitting outside in front of their shop that day. Almost 2 weeks now. Was told there was a note on it to just sharpen blades, I informed them no, it was for a problem starting. 7. Next day, no call again. I call. Was told they don't know what's wrong. Want to keep looking for issue. 8. Next day. No call again. We call. They still have no info so we ask for it to be dropped off that day. Told that if we are not home, they can just drop it in our driveway.No mower delivered. 9. Next day. Call again. Ask why it wasn't dropped of. Told it will be dropped today. 10. Next day: Garage open, car inside. Both my husband and I are home. Hear a noise outside. See mower dropped in rain in driveway. No one knocked. It seems like they are a newer business, but this is no way to succeed. I'm just disappointed. They seemed nice but to not even knock with the garage open and people clearly home is just poor service. Not following through with callbacks and self imposed deadlines is also poor service. One week after they picked up my…read moreGarden Tractor I visited their shop, totally disorganized and my tractor was sitting out in front of the store on the sidewalk. They told me that they would get to it yet that week and would call with an estimate on parts, no call. Two weeks after they picked up the unit I visited again they had not touched the unit since my last visit. They told me they would get right on it and they were happy I was not mad due to the fact they had not touched the unit in two weeks. They called me about a week later and said the work was done and they could bring the unit out that day, 20 minutes latter I get another call the unit won't start to load it on the trailer and they would have to look into it deeper and call me the next day with an estimate on the work to be done. On that date they also offered to put an OLD 14 horse engine in it, my tractor has a 19 HP engine I told them NO I want the same engine that it has currently, they told me that it would cost around $500 or more to fix, I said get me an estimate on the parts and labor and was told that would be done and I would receive a call the next day, NO CALL. On the day they had the unit for three weeks I went to the shop and looked at the tractor again sitting on the sidewalk out front, it looked as if it had never been touched except for the scratches on the hood and the muffler guard that had been destroyed and bent back into the muffler, (more than likely when they picked up the unit as it was thrown in the trailer sideways). At that point I asked to have the unit delivered to my home as by this time I had decided this place is totally incompetent and would have destroyed the unit if I had it there any longer. The unit was delivered to my home with the following issues: They had lost the original key that was in it when they picked it up, the smashed muffler guard, the side panels were not secured on with the body clips that secure it ( had to order new ones ). If I could have given them a lower than 1 star rating I would have. DO NOT TAKE YOUR EQUIPMENT TO THEM, I AM SURE THEY WILL BE OUT OF BUISINESS SOON!

Not that they would send another associate or refund my money, but that they will speak with him. Completely unacceptable.

1 Star - Only for arriving on time, otherwise zero…read more If you don't want to read the long review: Extremely unprofessional, overpriced, failed to unclog the drain, and tried to upsell unnecessary major sewer replacement work with another company. I moved into a 1960s-70s home and soon had a basement main drain clog. I chose Allen's Plumbing based on their high ratings. They arrived on time but immediately began criticizing my real estate agent and home inspector, boasting about decades of experience. He spent less than 30 minutes with a snake, claimed it could not go past 50 ft, and pulled out only a small amount of debris and fine roots--about the size of a fist--yet dramatically acted as if my sewer was severely damaged. On-site, he pressured me to call my agent, rudely criticized them over the phone, and claimed I had only two options: dig up the basement or the yard, costing about $5,000. He insisted the pipe was broken and needed replacing, and charged $265 for the day's "work." He then called in another company with a camera (Kowski's Sewer Service), quoting another $250. This second company was equally unprofessional, failed to locate the blockage, and suggested I check with insurance about replacement. They also damaged my drain plug and left a filthy mess. The next day, through my teacher's contact, I hired another plumber--professional, clean, and determined. He used a snake to go 100 ft, removed a long arm's-length mass of debris, and found the real culprit: a clump of wet wipes. Problem solved without any pipe replacement. Clearly, my pipe was not broken. Allen's Plumbing exploits customers' lack of technical knowledge to push unnecessary major repairs. This is unprofessional and shameful. Businesses like this will not last long. I will continue to post reviews and file complaints on other platforms to warn others and prevent more people from being deceived and losing their money.

Tom fixed the sewer backup as well as the sewer line and worked with my insurance company. He was on time, straight forward, wrote up the quote for the sewer line repair and all it involved. He ended up saving me thousands of dollars as the work was less involved than he first quoted. I would definitely hire him again.

My clothes dryer stopped working. We automatically call Sears for appliance repair because that's where we get them. I saw good reviews of Dick's Appliance service on Angie's List so I gave them a call. Based on my description of the problem, the person I talked to thought it was probably a broken belt. I asked how much it would be for a new one and he said "about $106". He arrived promptly the next day at the time we agreed on. Sure enough, it was a broken belt and he had one with him. He replaced it and looked the dryer over and said there were no other problems. In other words, there was no attempt to sell me stuff I didn't need. He also cleaned the duct. All of this took him around 20 minutes. It cost just what he said it would on the phone; no mysterious extra fees. When our refrigerator stopped cooling I called all over town looking for someone who could come out same day. Most of the bigger companies were booked weeks out and the smaller companies didn't have awesome reviews and I just didn't feel comfortable having them come out. Gave Dicks a call and they were out within a few hours, showing up even a few minutes early, and the diagnosis took less than 20 minutes. Very knowledgeable people. We had another service company out to fix our ice maker and after a few months it stopped working Dicks was able to tell me that it wasn't fixable and just needed to be replaced. Part was ordered on a Friday and he asked if he could stop by Monday to install. Definitely recommend these guys. read more

There's nothing easy about major appliances in your home breaking, or bringing strangers in to attempt to repair them. When my fridge began to malfunction I wasn't sure what to do. Rob did a great job installing a new garbage disposal. We talked about the brand on the phone and he picked up the one we agreed upon. He replaced it in a timely manner and it works great. I mentioned that the oven in my old stove wasn't working. Rob took the time to replace the filament. Sadly, it needed more than that. He didn't charge me for checking it out.
