And even though he has a wide service area, he fit my sister in for a same day call. And my diagnosis of the problem was wrong. But that did not deter him from his original estimate of cost. The drain line is still set up exactly the same as when we moved in and has worked perfectly fine. We were even told to call a plumber, and the plumber confirmed there was no issue. * Same visit: $287 to replace a dryer belt (part #WE03X29897), which is a ~$10 part and a relatively quick repair. * Visit 2: After about an hour of diagnosing, the technician blew off a sensor and the washer immediately started working again. * Visit 3: After the washer was already functioning, we were then advised to replace the suspension rods ($155). Total paid was around $660. The main issue isn't just the price which is absurd for about 60-70 dollars worth of parts--it's that the problem wasn't correctly diagnosed from the start, and we were charged across multiple visits before arriving at a solution. There was also a repair performed that did not appear necessary. Being publicly called a liar instead of being asked for clarification was unprofessional, Rick. I also contacted the main office after these visits, and the pricing breakdown I shared previously came directly from them. He spent about 20 min and said he would have to order the part. After he left, there was a seal/strip of plastic laying on the floor, we didn't worry about it, thought he would put it back on or whatever when he completed the job. He called the next afternoon, Friday, about 4pm and asked to come out to put the part in, we agreed for 6 pm, he showed at 7:20. It took him approx 30 min to finish the job. The part was around $60, total bill was $185. Today I was loading the dishwasher, had the bottom rack pulled out for loading plates, and then I opened the top rack and the entire dishwasher fell forward out of the cabinet, and the seal/strip thing fell out onto the floor! Now we still can't use the dishwasher. I wanted to use a local business but that might have been a mistake. We called him to come back, had to leave a message, so we will see what happens.....at this point, I would not recommend him. And, he did not wear a mask into our home or even offer to! Update, we called him to come finish the repair, he called back and set an appointment and never showed up.
