Best bbq in town. The rib and brocket is a must-order! Nothing about this place let me down. Great job!

Can I just say OMG!? My husband and I love BBQ, so when we saw all the food awards this place won…read morein the "Best of 2022" in the Holland Sentinel, we had to try it. And are we glad we did! The half chicken was smoked, tender and juicy. The brisket was meaty and flavorful--they didn't skimp on the meat in a slider like many places do. We split it and still had meat falling out! St. Louis ribs are usually too tough for me--but these were fall-off-the-bone tender like baby back ribs. All. To. Die. For! We didn't try all the sides, but we recommend the baked beans (husband liked putting extra BBQ sauce on them) and corn. Note: the corn bread is not to be missed! We ordered online and everything was spot on in the drive-thru. The people are super nice as well. Enjoy! And thank me (and all the Holland Sentinel voters!) later!

First the good: -Staff was friendly and helpful. -Place was clean. -Garlic toast was yummy! -French fries were fresh and hot. Now the bad: -Pulled Pork was mushy and completely shredded to where it kind of clumped together, lacked any smoke flavor and tasted like water had been added (maybe more than once) to add moisture. -Campfire corn was weird. I never had anything like it, so I have a hard time evaluating. At first I did not like it at all, but as I ate more I kind of liked it. Final tally, 2.5 out of 5. -Sauces were not good at all. I tried the sweet and the spicy and both were meh. I did not try the mustard sauce. I wanted to like the place. I love BBQ and want LOTS of good BBQ joints to exist. But, when I read this on the website, "Holy Smokers BBQ has won many awards for their delicious Que! They still compete...in Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin, Indiana and Illinois. Why settle for BBQ that just don't measure up. Years of proven success cooking BBQ Low & Slow for that flavor that can't be matched." and then have such a bad experience with the meat, it's disappointing. I will try again and if I have a better result, I'll update.

I had the crab-crusted white fish with shredded potatoes. Both dishes were excellent. It's hard to comment on service since we were sitting at the bar. The decor is nice, but it is noisy.

My friend Olivia and I met up for dinner recently at Seventy Six and had a nice time. We had a…read morereservation but it was pretty early so it wasn't needed. The space is a bit rustic and feels more casual than the menu might suggest. The food is kind of new American with some Asian-inspired twists. We started with the crab rangoon - I loved that they use real crab for these, but they were not quite as light and crispy as I would have liked. Still, a nice app to share and I liked the sauce. I ordered the Thai steak with noodles, which I was assuming would be a steak with noodles on the side, but it was really a noodle bowl like drunken noodles. It was pretty spicy (spicier than I might have expected, but perfect for me), with a generous amount of tender steak that was cooked perfectly. I found the noodles to be a bit undercooked, so they were a bit too chewy. When I reheated the leftover noodles the next day, they were perfect. Olivia got the salmon, which had a bit of an Indian vibe with tikka masala spices and toasted naan for crunch. I had a bite of the salmon and enjoyed it. I also liked that they ask what temp she wanted the salmon cooked to - a nice touch. I'm glad I got to experience Seventy Six and would come back in the future. Street parking was pretty easy right in front, and we stopped at their sister bar, Obstacle No. 1 for a drink after dinner.

Every time someone opened the door, I felt an icy blast of air on my back. My server was Kelly G, an incredible young lady who went out of her way to make me feel welcome. I had hoped for a gf pizza but she told me that due to cross contamination in the small kitchen, she couldn't guarantee that it would be gluten free. Just when I considered leaving the establishment, she suggested a risotto which she would personally tell the cooks to make it gluten free. The risotto tasted ok especially with Sriracha. Kelly then suggested the gf turtle torte which was amazing. If it hadn't been for Kelly going the extra mile for me, I would have had nothing for dinner that night because there simply aren't any gf options in Holland for dinner. I gave her a 25% tip because she was awesome. I hope the restaurant understands that it isn't enough to say that an entree is gluten free if it doesn't have wheat - it also shouldn't be cooked in the same contaminated pan or touched by hands that have handled other products.

The meat lacked the flavor I was hoping for, and the fries came out overcooked, which was a bit of a letdown. Overall, the meal didn't really hit for me, especially given how highly it's talked about. I think my friend enjoyed her order. That said, it's possible I caught them at an off time, so I wouldn't completely write it off but based on this visit, it wasn't the experience I was expecting.
