Save your money. This is the first time visiting here in GJ but have been to several in Denver so thought why not. We did get a Welcome to Dickeys but it went down hill from there. The guy preping the food told us that we had to wait at the counter when he turned and walked away? You can tell that he didnt really want to be there. He only does one order at a time so my wife was almost done with her food when I got mine? The brisket was very tough making it hard to eat with plastic knife and fork. Potato was a potato, brisket was loaded with GLOBS of fat, dime size and larger. Maybe 2 tablespoons of meat once the globs of fat were removed. Nasty. Hard to judge flavor with only one bite. Better beans from a can. 1/2 pound of Jalapeño smoked sausage. sausage was dry with no flavor, cheese with a bite of spice. RAVE REVIEWS ON THE COKE!!!! BBQ sauce has good flavor. Quality and quantity were not worth the prices they are charging. Service was good with the exception of the dishonesty about quality of the brisket. We were not sure what to order but were given suggestions by young lady named Jadalynn and we're cashed out by Brooklyn. Really clean cozy place that also serves free ice cream to guest that dine in! I'm at 1 star for this location : 1) they didn't even start the order until it was picked up 2) the bbq was " ok" 3) there were hard pieces of dried up corn in the corn muffin which was hard as well 4) they give you a piece of what I think is some type of bun but smelled and tasted like a "Communion Wafer" Good thing it was Sunday ! First timers to any of the locations, and we thought it was pretty good! Fast and reasonably priced, and we got a ton of food. Nothing was the best we have had in our entire lives, but all of it was something we would order again. I liked the flavor of the pork ribs and sweet BBQ sauce, and the fried okra is awesome. The green beans were a little spicy for me, but I'm not one for even a little bit of spice. Baked beans were really good also! My husband did a 3 meat plate with chicken, sausage, and turkey and said he liked the sausage the most. Overall, we had a very good meal and will definitely be back! Thanks Dickey's! read more

Excellent location of a dependable franchise brand. Real TX bbq in Colorado with fast friendly service and a clean environment. Good stuff.

Service and employees are awful, worst management and workplace I've ever experienced. The meat is kinda the only thing fresh, they re-use sides from the previous day before and sometimes even the day before that some of the soda nozzles have fuzzy moldy gunk on them because they just get soaked overnight in water instead properly getting washed. I definitely wouldn't recommend even my worst enemy to work at this awful environment. read more

It is surprisingly decent for a chain restaurant. In a hurry but craving smoked meats with good sides? This is a good go to stop for just that. I had the pulled pork and smoked cheddar jalapeño kielbasa. I love kielbasa and it will be a tough decision to try new stuff since it's yummy. My husband is a DoorDash driver. We went to pick up an order here and my husband, who has autism, isn't big on talking. He walked into the restaurant, held up his phone to the manager and the manager asked him why he wasn't talking, and asked if he was deaf. My husband replied that he was a DoorDash driver and was picking up an order. The manager then said that if my husband wouldn't talk to them, they'd have a problem. I called to try to calmly tell him that was rude and my husband is stressing out and explain to them about how he has autism. The manager then claimed that my husband made gagging noises with his finger in his mouth like he was throwing up in front of his transgender employee. I was sitting in the car, watching, and NONE OF THAT HAPPENED. I told him again that he was rude and I told him to have a good night. He then said "I hope you don't" before hanging up on me. The manager there, Trinity, is a liar. I will not be supporting this business ever again. I'm going to be contacting corporate. read more

I have had Dickey's BBQ in Colorado Springs many times and always enjoyed them. Unfortunately The Dickey's in Clifton, near Grand Junction, serves cold food. I thought it was a one-off issue so I have tried them 3 separate times and... always cold food. The restaurant is clean and the food is tasty as always, just cold. The pits! Purchased the Family Dinner plus a full rack of ribs for 5 people for take out. Ribs were all bone, the beef brisket flavorless, rolls were hard and dry, the sides were nothing to worth writing about. It was like the meats were cooked days ago, crumbly and dry. 5 people did not eat 30% of the food. I was embarrassed to serve it to our guests. Sad. read more
