Food terrible, Pulled pork sandwich had no flavor even with their sauce on it. Not worth going back.

Just so happened to stop in today of all days Mother's Day ! They are new to sunset area so I figured why not give 'em a try . Uh oh . I looked at menu on the wall . First impressions were as follows first off .. that wonderful smell of barbecue with a hint of smoke smell was nonexistent inside the store . Secondly prices are way way to expensive for that area .! And third and most importantly food is not good . Should have listened to my nose in the beginning when I entered the door . But I didn't should have taken family somewhere else but again I didn't. Now am I prejudice? No I went incognito like a good spy would. I'm a 3 time winner of smoked brisket and barbecue cook offs around Louisiana Texas and southern Arkansas they had no idea of that I paid the high prices like all the rest Word of advice to dickeys slow your cooking down. Take those well trimmed briskets off the smoker 30-40 minutes sooner leave them to baste in their on juices. Stop buying okra from store already breaded . How ever you macaroni and cheese was good . If your gonna make in a small community don't fake it .. if you need a real barbecue and meat smoker. Look me up .. very very disappointed . Next time I'll trust my instincts . Don't waste y'all's time you've been warned by a friend's advise . Kinda ruined a good day so thanks but nooo thanks !! read more

Food was good but they only had one person working. He is doing the best he can. they also don't have AC on and it's very hot inside

Just ordered a 3 meat plate with an extra 1/4 of sausage and a drink. $26+ the brisket was so dry. No wonder you have to give people a big yellow cup. Sausage was ok and the sides were cold as if they were packed up yesterday. Not worth the money. read more

Dickeys has a non existing customer service! Weirdest things happen and no one cares! I have left dozens of voice messages, emails for nothing. Why "guest experience" bothers to answer and advise us to reach out if no one is ever there and no one ever reaches out? Terrible way of doing business! read more

This place is terrible. We went in on Saturday, November 16th. I went with my boyfriend and was so excited. I love good barbecue !! We just moved from Illinois and were missing our favorite barbecue spot. This is overpriced at it's best. The ribs were cold and lacking in flavor even with sauce added. I had the Mac-n-cheese which was cold and gluey and needed salt. The potato salad was lacking in flavor as well, I added salt, but that didn't help. I'm a Southern girl who transplanted to the Midwest for a while and I know potato salad; even done better in the Midwest. This potato salad was sad! He had the Mac-n-cheese which he just threw away and the coleslaw which he said was tasteless. If I could leave zero stars and ask for my $37 back I would. We won't be back. read more

Sausage was discolored and smelled rancid. Sides were overcooked like they had been siting and I was the first one when they opened. Drove back to get a refund neither of the two workers knew how to issue a refund. It took 30 minutes and a phone call to the owner or boss for her to just reach in the register and hand my money back. Quality control and training needs to be revisited as well as staffing issues. Grand opening was horrible. Waited in line 45 minutes to order lunch to go with 18 people ahead of me. Cashier took 10 minutes to ring up called in order ahead of me. Food was cold. employee was alone. had no change if you pay cash. was 1 to 1 1/2 hrs before closing time, but employee was picking up already. no ladle in bbq sauce, removed tea w/out asking if we needed a refill. gave us bbq sauce already in containers near register. said mine was sweet, but turned out to be spicy. which I discovered after putting on my sandwich and ruined it. pulled pork sandwich was cold and hardly had any meat on it at all. prices are up, serving sizes way down. ice cream machine still broken. no pickles, no onions. won't go there again. read more

I went in 2 1/2 hours before closing time to get 2 POUNDS of sliced brisket and some trimmings to bring home, BUT GUESS WHAT? NO BRISKET! What bbq place runs out of brisket. I told them they may as well shut the doors because the people around here will not put up with it. read more

Worst barbecue I have ever ate in my life. Brisket had a lot of fat, ribs didn't have much meat. Meat didn't really have any smoke nor taste to it. Was not impressed. Would not recommend and will not eat here again. read more

I was really nervous about picking up food here after reading the reviews but I can honestly say it was a good experience. The brisket was amazing! My family really enjoyed it and the sausage. The sides were pretty good as well. The rolls were mediocre but that only mattered to one of my kids. lol. The only downside was the man who handed me my order had really dirty fingernails and that freaked me out. The guy that took the order was very nice and patient as I took awhile to place my order at the window. I am pretty sure we will pick up food from here again. read more

WHAT A DISSAPOINTMENT!!! My daughter and I were on a little mother/daughter day out and decided we wanted barbeque. We were so hungry. I ordered a 3 meat plate with brisket and double ribs that I had to pay an additional $4 for. I also ordered a quarter of brisket on the side. I had green beans and mash potatoes. My daughter ordered the loaded mashed potato with brisket. The sides were okay. The meat, however, was so dry. The ribs were mostly not edible. The meat was almost jerky like. The brisket could only be eaten if you drink something immediately after. The loaded potato just wasn't good. I am so disappointed. We were so hungry and I spent $30 for no absolute reason. I was looking for a regular barbeque spot. This will not be the place. read more

Have to say I was disappointed me and my husband food (the meats) was both cold and we order different items. We order two different meats for both of us and all the meats were cold u get two sides the sides were warm. Went there several weeks ago at 7:45pm and they were closed. Decided to give them another try last night and drove up to the drive in window only to be told they were out of gloves and could not sell anything. I guess they could not walk to Super One and buy gloves at Super One. Will not be back. read more

My husband and I went eat here a week ago. The service was slow, but I figured it's because they just opened and are getting the hang of things, no big deal. Tried to order my son a grilled cheese kids meal and the cashier didn't even know they had grilled cheese on the menu for kids. My son ended up having to get the slider meal because they said they didn't have everything available on the menu yet. How do you open up a restaurant and not have everything available? Anyways, my husband and I both got a 2 meat plate. The only thing really good was the chicken breast and the baked potato casserole. Everything else was alright but if I was to go back I would seriously only order the chicken breast and baked potato casserole. I wanted to try the pork burnt end sandwich they advertised online but of course they didn't even have it on their menu. Maybe things will get better as time goes on being they just opened but they should have been a little more prepared is all. read more

Meat handling requires skills, and knowledge. I don't eat pork and a lot of people don't, I ordered the chicken sandwich, there chef start cutting the chicken with the same knife he cuts the pork meat with, my sandwich was full with pork pieces and taste. read more
