It's got the warm vintage thing inside as well. A great place to visit if you are staying at the Doubletree or are on the way to watch hockey. The original Gerber was a Jewish fella who ran the speakeasy back in the early part of the 20th century.

Cheeseburger wrap with onion rings and coleslaw. Wings: crispy, tasty, and really good blue cheese. BUT...when they came to the table, the baskets looked light. So... WE COUNTED THEM. ONLY 17. My (as the menu clearly states) "half pound burger in a wrap" was probably 1/4 of a pound light. Wait til you see the photo. So, all the good service and reasonably good food was ruined by Swifty's trying to either take advantage of customers incrementally hundreds of times a day (order by order) - or - they have a location chef and manager who tolerate food leaving their kitchen that is not as advertised or up to the standard which allowed them to open 3 locations. It's one or the other. Will we be back? I don't know. We really wanted this to be great. We live in the Northwest Corner of CT, my son goes to college in Rochester, this location is literally (to the mile) half-way between. We make the trip weekly due to his athletics schedule. We wanted to be regulars. Will probably look elsewhere next time. 2 stars for the front of the house service. It was excellent. And the blue cheese dressing. It was fantastic. If you go - count your wings and make sure what the menu says is on your plate.

She didn't even say "I will be right with you", literally no interaction. She was very friendly with everyone else around us seeming to know exactly what they were drinking and happy to get it for them. It had only been open a few days, so I wouldn't have known about it if a local hadn't tipped me off, but I'm glad she did! Overall, I had a great, albeit too brief, visit and will definitely return next time I'm in the area. Getting there was easy, as it's just off Route 8 in New Hartford. While the exact spot in the parking lot wasn't immediately obvious, Waze got me close. Once there, head to the left rear side of the hockey supply store. If you see the retaining wall for Route 8 and a pressure-treated wood deck, you're in the right place. Parking seems plentiful, though it was only moderately busy during my visit. Inside, the space features a long new bar, several tables, and a clean, welcoming atmosphere with excellent music at a moderate volume--loud enough to enjoy but quiet enough for conversation. Since I was alone, I took a comfortable seat at the bar and sampled a few beers, probably chatting with the bartenders and owner a bit too much (though they were all very nice, attentive, and helpful). The hazy IPAs I tried were quite good, particularly "The Wilds," and the sour beer on draft was delicious. I had already had a couple of drinks elsewhere, so I couldn't try as many as I would have liked, but they had plenty of cans available to go, which I eagerly grabbed. Stop in for a pint, or stop in for a four-pack or two, either way you won't be disappointed!
