I visited Diced for lunch today. This was my second time eating at this location. I had the lemon turkey pesto today and the avocado BLT last visit. Both times, the food was great. They have a variety of healthy options that are very flavorful. Their menu can accommodate every dietary need I can think of (gluten free, vegetarian, nut free...). Whatever you order can be a salad or a wrap. They have specific creations or you can make your own. They serve Coke products. I definitely recommend Diced to anyone looking for something fresh, light on calories, but full of flavor. read more

I really wanted to like this place. Their menu looked delicious and their ingredients looked fresh. I got a power bowl with spinach, black beans, green onions, almonds, quinoa, and tomatoes. I wouldn't even call what I got a salad, let alone a power bowl. My bowl was filled to the rim with spinach. Okay, I thought. Maybe the ingredients are just on the bottom. Nope. There was barely ANYTHING in my bowl, just spinach. I paid $9 for spinach. Like chipotle except for salads (and wraps). The ingredients looked pretty fresh but they put way too much balsamic vinaigrette for me to be able to tell. I probably should have told them half the regular amount, the salad turned out to be chokingly sour. I also couldn't tell if they made their dressing fresh, but it had a lot of sugar in it...the sour was pretty bitting though so at least not stale. Over all pretty good concept, like the fact that they "dice" up your salad so that you don't have to worry about big leaves hanging out of your mouth (or any other ingredients). The actual place is pretty small, limited seating. Overall not bad. I'd probably come back if I'm in the area and try it again with less dressing. read more

I have had this place 3 times on my business trip now with zero problems whatsoever. Tonight I used the last of my company credit to order from this place. When my delivery arrived there was no dressing in my bag. I am in a hotel and have absolutely nothing to put on this salad. The bag was sealed and stapled so this was definitely not the fault of my DoorDash driver. Super disappointed that I spent almost 20 bucks for this salad only to not be able to eat it. I never thought I would find myself saying I want a salad when asked where I would like to go for lunch or dinner. This place is GREAT!!!!! I always get the chopped bbq chicken salad. The size of the salad is so filling and for a great price; I have tried to replicate this salad at home and cant come close to what DICED preps it. A few weeks ago I would've given this place five stars 100 times over. Contrary to the name of the store, they have now stopped dicing the salad! They say they pre-chopped the lettuce, but it's really not much better than large bite size. The spinach is not chopped and the artisan leaves are largely to big for a tidy bite. A week ago I came in for my $12 salad and had it served to me on big old barely cut up lettuce leaves. I complained while they were making it but they said it was faster to pre-chopped the lettuce and they weren't chopping it anymore. Despite the line being out the door I said that I would rather have waited and everyone in line with me agreed out loud. When I eat my salad I ended up eating all of the lettuce out long before the toppings were done and just had chicken and blue cheese and dressing remaining, which is kind of gross. I came back today hoping they had changed their minds but no, so I just left without a salad. Pretty disappointing. I was a loyal customer before filling up one of their loyalty cards at least once a month but I'm not going back till they chop my lettuce read more

Total rip off! I placed an order online & picked it up. Got home & the chicken I ordered for one of my salads (at $3) was completely missing. The other salad I ordered was the Shrimp & Grains. MAYBE enough pieces of shrimp to make up 2 shrimps? MAYBE enough avocado to make up 2 slices of avocado? Basically I paid $11.45 for a bowl of spinach. I've been to Diced 3 times and the food has not disappointed. Yes it's a bit expensive but the food tastes fresh, so I chalk it up to eating "healthy" in America. My biggest complaint is the staff. They have yet to be friendly, timely or thorough. Often I have to repeat my order or just put up with their mistakes and take the wrong item because it already took them 10 minutes to make it. I understand not many are thrilled to work where they do, but it shouldn't show to the customer. If the staff went through a customer service boot camp, this would be a great establishment and I would come much more often! read more

I moved to the area recently and was excited to try diced. I placed an order online for pickup and when I was driving home with it, diced called and said they forgot to add the chips to the bag before I picked it up. No big deal, I asked for the money from the chips to be refunded which they did BUT my wrap was also missing chicken which I paid $3 extra for. I called diced and the man I spoke to did not believe me and said he wanted to check with the person who made it to verify. The person who made it said he added the chicken and refused to believe me. He just silently sat on the phone when I told him I had picked apart my wrap and the chicken was no where to be found. Eventually he agreed to refund my $3 and he never did. I'm not going to call back and argue over $3, but I'll never go back. read more

I really wish the competitors could copy more correctly from the DICED. If you are disappointed by other salad shops such as Chopt, you still should try DICED. I am still trying to reverse-Engineering the success of DICED salad. I guess the important factors are that (1) they use enough good protein and don't chop them too finely; (2) they chop in a bowl instead of on board. That way the ingredients are blended more. My favorite is the filet mignon (black and blue). I don't like the blue cheese so I replaced it with parmesan flake. Unlike Chopt, the salad is not chopped too fine but the flavor is blended more compared to the competitors. Here are things that I don't like. (a) It is way too crowded and packed. It is not a place for relaxing your nerve, meditation or dates. (b) The (young) staffs lack dedications and professionalism. No, that big salad bowl is not your toy. So please don't play with it. I hope that the management can straighten up the team. After all, this is a "$$" place according to Yelp and what we eat touches intimately with staff and all the kitchenware including that big salad bowls. (c) That cucumber water is amazing. I think it is highlight of the meal. But it is not served all the time (lazy team?). The selection of drinks should be widen and improved more. With this kind of salad, it is better to complement it with drinks that are also inspiring, zesty, and fresh. It would be a huge mistake to deploy customers to fountain drinks. read more

I love Greek Salads. I am type 1 diabetic & a Greek Salad w Spinach, kale, plus great greens makes a meal that helps keep my blood sugar levels low enough to NOT need insulin. The food is good. It's not cheap. Giving two stars because of the food. Everytime that we order online something is wrong with the order. Today I ordered the Black and Blue and paid for beets. Both the steak and the beets were missing and the bag was ready there for me to pick up. Deliciousness! I am super indecisive and the staff helped me pick out and make an awesome spinach wrap - super foods base with spinach and kale and I added Parmesan and Filet cuts. SO GOOD. My husband and I were on our way to a brewery in Cary and needed a bite to eat before we arrived. We just happened to stumble upon Diced. So it the set up is kind of like 'chipotle for salads'. They have an order board with salads you can order or you can make your own. I chose to do a Avocado BLT Salad. I added parm to mine and I asked for the avocado ranch. My salad was awesome. Nice pieces of fresh avocado, big chunks of bacon and the dressing was yummy. My husband ordered a wrap. I can't remember the name but it had filet mignon, and blue cheese. He loved it as well. The staff was really friendly and helped us since we walked in not really knowing much about the place. Thankfully, we found out that there is a Diced in Raleigh. We will definitely check that place out. Some people have mentioned that it is a little pricey, but you are getting super fresh ingredients and you're eating pretty healthy (depending on your add ins). A+ in my book. read more

Holy smokes! I just ran in to get a wrap, then asked for the Southwest "big enough to feed my family of 4." My bill was $85!!!! When I spoke with the owner, she said that they charged me for the "catering" salad that feeds 6-8 and pulled a menu out from behind the counter. I pointed out that I was obviously ordering from the only menu displayed and that it wouldve been more appropriate to charge me for 4 orders of the Southwest salad that is advertised on the wall for $8.99. She said that I should've communicated more clearly that I did not want the catering salad. What customer clarifies if theyre ordering from the giant sign on the wall instead of the hidden menu behind the counter?! Ridiculous and dishonest!! read more

Randomly today, I was taking one for the team and doing the actual picking up of the dinner (yay me!). I'm heading to our regular sushi spot when I SAW A SALAD PLACE next to it. A real salad place. A real one! That serves salads! Fast forward through a few emoji-filled text messages to my husband and I find myself ordering some salads. I get to pick my lettuce which was awesome (there is no emoji for lettuce but there is one for eggplant). I ordered a Cobb and a Black and Blue. I get to the register and decided to add a third salad to my order for my dad. "No problem!" they said. "Take your time." These are nice people who know that salad choosing is an art form that must not be rushed except if you are in front of me in line and I'm hungry. In conclusion, the salads were great. My dad finally confirmed I'm his favorite kid. And we now can cut down our monthly sushi budget. I do hope they make the ingredients of the dressings readily available (they said this is in the works). Like one of the other reviewers, I would also appreciate a more enviro friendly to-go container. But being that this place is replacing a sushi habit, I would be a jerk to take a star away for either of those things. I've been to a lot of fresh salad restaurants and this was by far my least favorite. First of all, I know they recently opened but the service was very slow. I only got 4 small strips of not the freshest looking chicken on my salad for a whopping extra $2.50... making my salad come to a total of more than $12. The whole salad was pretty much an extreme amount of finely chopped lettuce with a few toppings here and there. I think something (probably the tomatoes) had also been sitting for too long because there was a funky sour taste going on. Also, the man preparing my salad forgot to put a topping on and on the lady's salad in front of me. So we both had to speak up about that. Sorry for complaining but I was really excited for this restaurant, maybe it will get better over time! :) Also, I will say I went before the grand opening, so I'm not sure if they've made changes since then. read more

It's easy for quality of food and service to be impacted by this pandemic right now but my experience today completely changed my mind on that. As soon as I walked in the door, I was greeted with genuine smiling faces! They have tables in front of the food line in order to maintain a safe social distance and hand sanitizer at the register! HUGE selection of salad ingredients. Pick one of their salads or build your own. Clean place...sanitation grade 100.0....I love that so keep it up. Love how they collect your ingredients then dump it on the cutting board and chop it. Makes it easy to eat and everything's mixed together. I will be back...sooner rather than later. It has a format similar to Chipotle, but for salads. I also find their process interesting: after all your ingredients get added to a bowl, they add dressing, toss it, then pour it on a cutting board and chop it into smaller pieces, then scoop it into your serving bowl. Also think of Coldstone Creamery but for salads. Which makes great sense when you start eating it, as everything is a size that you can get on your fork without making a stuffing-into-your-mouth-because-it's-too-big-to-fit-but-too-hard-to-cut motion. A bit pricey to pay $10 for a salad, but the one I chose from the menu was quite good: a Southwest Crunch with the Chipotle Ranch dressing, and added some steak. I'd recommend it. read more
