Shoes are lined along the racks underneath, and as you get further back into the store, you'll find an array of trinkets and accessories like no other, as well as one changing area shielded by a curtain. The staff here is great! Every time I've stopped by, they've made it a point to answer all my questions and assist me without hesitation. The last time I was there, I met the owner, who is such a gem! She was so excited to hear about why I was shopping and to share The history of some of the items I was interested in. She is also a metal smith and helped me select a silver necklace that said AG (get it? Like silver on the table of elements?!) for my friend who had those initials and let me try on so many items before I selected a super cozy hot pink hoodie. You can definitely find some deals here, but I will say the majority of the items are a bit on the pricier side, given the nature of how they were selected by the owner during her travels. Every time I'm in the neighborhood, I make it a point to stop by and say hi and check out what they have to offer.

The only draw back is that the sizes can run small with certain items. The house wares, I adore! The bright colors really bring joy to my day. I loved the multi colored tiki glasses, the vintage pie pans, The Jon Burgerman plates are absolutely fantastic and there are some very tempting purse and shoes. And as I mentioned, it's a luck of the draw if it's your size. It's usually pretty calm when I come in. You do need to buzz the door. And the people working are always willing to assist in anyway. In fact, I recently discovered the shop itself as they hosted an outdoor vinyl sale, inviting other local vendors and collectors to sell directly outside their shop. It was a fantastic event under any circumstances, but in these days in particular felt like an inspired and ideal way to celebrate and embrace a communal NY spirit. I walked away with a nice mug for myself, a couple of surprise early holidays gifts off my list and, of course, some interesting new and used vinyl. And perhaps more importantly, a great day, and a fine new gift buying go-to!
