The restaurant itself is so inviting and feels really classical. I had a great feeling about it and was looking forward to some traditional sub experience. The bread for the sub is amazing, I'll give it that. But that's where it ends. Overall it was very disappointing and the meat tasted like Oscar Meyer pre-sliced deli meat. The service was weird too. The cashier made me feel like an alien when I told him what I ordered. Like he had never heard of their own menu.

The menu description says, "A mountain of crispy bacon" - even for a 5" sub, two pieces does not a mountain make.

We were wanting a super quick lunch before hitting the road to head home. The first lunch spot we had picked out was closed, and DiBella's was the closest and most appealing to us. It's pretty much the same type of stuff you'd expect to see at most sub sandwich chains. They do get busy being in the center of downtown, but they have a nice assembly line of how you order to get the line going quickly. I ordered the DiBella's Cheesesteak and it was just okay. Fine enough to be satisfied but also bland to where I wouldn't order it again. For a small, it was still a pretty large sandwich. Probably not a place I'd come back to, but if I found myself here again I would be willing to try something else on the menu.

I bought the chicken Philly sandwich and a side of the potato salad for lunch. They somehow made the sandwich without cheese but when I let them know this they ended up making another at no charge. Overall the sandwich was tasty so we're the potatoes. Customer service was great but the workers making the sandwiches should be more careful when fulfilling orders. The sandwich was very dense and filled with toppings. I would go back here again.

My favorite place for subs!! The absolute best. They have the freshest ingredients from the meat to the toppings. They also have the best rolls!! Cannot say good enough things about them. My favorite place to get an italian sub

***WOW*** Super great customer service. I walked in and was greeted immediately. I was asked what they could help me with. There were about 6-7 people behind counter and every single one was friendly and had a smile on I ordered the old fashioned which is turkey, ham and genoa salami on a foot long everything roll with lettuce tomato and mustard. The staff were super friendly and were anxious to serve. the place is pretty big and has plenty of seating to eat in. The sandwich was totally delicious. The sandwiches are overstuffed with meat which is great. I would defiantly go there again fo all my sub needs. If you are in Market Square and want a unbelievable sub sandwich then definitely stop at DiBella's Subs. It is defiantly worth the trip.

    Old Fashioned

Stopped in here the other day before the pirates game. Got the old fashioned sandwich, it was really good. Ordering process you grab a ticket and order what you want and then they call out your number. Very old school place

The Godfather sub was so simple but tasty. Sometimes you do not need to be over the top to make great food. The service was fast, friendly and inexpensive. I would definitely recommend this sub shop anytime you are in Pittsburgh.

I wouldn't really call this a supper club to be honest but the place definitely carries a house music bar vibe and the back bar area and seating is very dimly lit, perfect for cozying up and enjoying a drink late night. The ladies' room was so dark, I mistook it for a storage area because I could only make out a white ladder in the corner that was being used as cute shelving. The place is seat yourself. Our waiter was not super friendly and didn't offer to give us napkins or anything when our wobbly table caused our drinks to splash all over the place. The cook served our chicken with a big smile and happy interaction and we really loved his personality. The bartender also stopped by to bus our table and he was very pleasant as well. We enjoyed the perfectly fried small plate cauliflower with the plum sauce and the fried cheese/garlic wonton bites with the sriracha mayo spicy dipping sauce. The fried chicken breast on the large plate was slightly overcooked with a maple gochuchang sauce that was very bland. We were so thankful that the large plate fried chicken came with a side salad to offer some respite from the heaviness of the fried dishes. It would have been great to have some side acidic or fresh vegetable options like Kimchi or something. Maybe we tried the wrong dishes and there are other not fried things that are delicious? The dirty martini cocktail was just so-so, not really much flavor at all, but the mojito was very good and refreshing. It's probably a good late-night place for a bite and drink.

Fantastic vibe in there as well, cool lighting (although something from up above kept falling). It's a highly acclaimed place for a reason. I got to try their beet soup (borscht), tea, potato pancake, and rice pudding dessert. The menu changes decently consistently I believe, and I did visit a little while ago, for notice. The food was very tasty. Huge potato pancake that was cooked perfectly with a nice topping of what I can only describe as vegan sour cream and some sort of very flavorful vegetables. I quite liked it, surprisingly tasty and creamy topping. Now the borscht, which I tend to be picky with, was just okay. The number one detractor for the borscht was the salt level. The food is just far, far too salty (the pancake was pretty salty too). Other than that, quite good. Love the side of rye. The dessert was very good. Surprisingly light. Came with a little caramelized baked fruit on top (apple/pear, something like that). Rice was reasonably creamy and very flavorful. So good! All in all, a nice spot for a nice dinner. Especially great for vegans. However, the food did taste too salty for my liking.

We stopped by while walking around the Strip District looking for a quick lunch. LOVED our dinner at this place…read more We came here for dinner while visiting Pittsburgh. The first thing that struck me was the interior decor. Very industrial and moody with an open kitchen/preparation area that adds some intrigue. I do like to see the happenings of what's going on as someone with zero attention span. Service was excellent. George was fantastic. He kept a close eye on us without being overbearing. He anticipated what we might need so we didn't spend one second waiting to order anything. The menu is not endless or overwhelming which, presumably, allows them to focus on the items that are listed. I have decision panic so it was kinda nice to have less things to choose from. They asked if there were any allergies or dietary restrictions so I mentioned my vegetarianism. George went through the menu and pointed out the vegetarian options including what seems like it is vegetarian but isn't. They had TWO vegetarian entree options and fortunately the non-mushroom one was something I probably would have ordered anyway: pesto with walnuts, arugula, and a very generous amount of grated cheese. To start, I ordered the Brussels sprouts whichc I was warned had fish sauce. This was fine but nothing that blew me away. GF, on the other hand, loved this. GF ordered the wedge which was brought to our attention as vegetarian with the bacon on the side, which was her request. We ended up sharing both, a large part of that was because hers came out first and I couldn't wait but I'm so glad because the wege was FANTASTIC. The dressing? holy fuck pure ecastasy. The wedge was more like a filet shape which was much easier to eat. Who decided on the wedge shape anyway? The lettuce was so fresh and crisp and went wonderfully with that orgasmic dressing and breadcrumbs. Back to my pasta. Also delectable. Noodles were al dente. The sauce was creamy and packed that pesto umami flavor. The walnuts were a really nice contrast in texture. Everything about it absolutely fucking slapped. GF ordered the mushroom entree which came served on a bed of barley which, don't mind if I do, had a few forkfuls to "sample" for "my review". Again, so fucking good. Because it was my birthday, George provided a dessert (yuzu maybe?) that was served inside a meringue-esque igloo, creamy perfect balance of sweet and tart custard with some berry business underneath. Wonderful. I almost forgot their spectacular cocktails! Holy shit, literally they have a CORN CHIP cocktail that I could not pass up. It comes with two massive cornchips on top of a flavored foam. When you bring the glass up to sip, the cornchips are right in front of your nose and their aroma sets the stage for the drink which was STRONG. It wasn't as corn chip forward as I expected but I understand that flavor is probaly hard to create. For my second drink, I ordered the blue one which was refreshing, light, and really good. GF ordered a spritz which was gorgeous "it was good". For second round, I picked out some uranium thing that was very cucumbery, GF says, "it was good". I just read it outloud to her. "it's true!" Fantastic meal at a great place.

The prices are very steep. If you go in for just a smoothie thats a little more acceptable but to pay $5 for a couple strawberries, half a banana, and half an apple is crazy.
