Currently I don't get subs very often, since most of the shops only have tuna or vegetarian options for me, but when I do I usually pick DiBellas. I stopped at the Mayfield store (on SOM Center) to pick up a 5" tuna sub for lunch the next day. I used the online ordering so the sub was ready and I got in and out quickly. DiBella's has a bigger footprint then the usual sup franchise, they have plenty of tables to eat in the store and the decor is a bit better then the competition. I prefer DiBella's for a number of reasons. First I think the bread is better, a bit more substantial with a nice crust and soft inside, the choices are all good, this time I got the everything style bun. Second, the tuna is high quality and well drained which means that the balance of the sub seems better to me. Third, the vegetables are fresh and crisp, with good flavor. Finally I really like having several options in the peppers including making the sub spicy, which is a nice contrast to the tuna. If you are looking for a good high quality sub check out a DiBella's, the food is great, there is good variety, including the option to have your sub grilled, and service is generally good. The Mayfield store is convenient and well run. Give them a try. read more

I was traveling to Cleveland to visit with my best friend. She had to work so we decided to order sandwiches to the house for lunch. Now although I'm not a huge sandwich fan this is one of the best sandwiches I've had in a very long time I definitely would visit this place again if I'm traveling to Ohio or any of the other locations they are at!!! the sandwich was very yummy but the everything bread was really wet set it off. I did not eat at the location so I cannot really comment on their service or what it was like inside but I can tell you that the sandwich is wonderful. read more

Ordered veggie sub on 2/24/25. Modified adding lettuce and 2 types of cheese which I paid extra for. Upon checking sandwich at home I found there was no lettuce and no cheese at all. It was the worst sub I've had. This is only the second time I've been to the Mayfield location and second time disappointed. Will not order again for myself but only for my husband. I used to like Dibellaas Subs but after today I will not be going back because I spent $21.00 for my son and myself only to end up on the toilet! I knew the meat on the sandwich tasted weird. I've been here three times with my wife and can say I'm not impressed. Both times our subs took a long time to make and customers seem to get their subs despite coming in after us, maybe because we both get ours toasted? The first time they got our order wrong and the other times staff had to ask us questions about our order 2-5 minutes after we had finished ordering. A 15+ minute wait seems typical here despite the place being empty every time we come. The subs while large are poorly proportioned; there is too much bread for the pitifully sparse veges and the meat is spread too thin. We usually end up combining the two sub halves into one to make a meaty half-sub that's much more resonably proportioned. While the ingredients may be slightly higher quality than other sub shops there is a substantial price mark-up (~$11-13/sub) that I don't think is justified. I think subway or jimmy johns are faster options that offer a better value. Wouldn't really recommend this place but if you insist i'd make sure to order your sub with extra meat. read more

We ordered two subs online at 6:00 for a 6:45 pickup. We arrived at 6:40 and they said "they were working on them". Subs were finally ready at 7:20!! This was beside the fact that a minimum of nine people came thru ordering at the store and received theirs before ours! We will be looking for a new place for subs!! Great sub shop. All employees had on masks and customers needed to wear them as well. I ordered the Dagwood sub which had turkey, ham, and corned beef. You are able to pick from a few selections of bread and I choose plain. The bread is absolutely delicious. You are also able to pick numerous toppings for your sub including tomatoes, lettuce, onions, olives, pickles, cucumbers, and peppers to name a few. There are also several options of cheese if that pleases you. The sub itself was great. There was plenty of meat and the veggies were fresh and flavorful. I highly recommend this sub shop compared to some of the other options. It does take a little longer to make your sub compared to some other places but it is definitely worth the wait. read more

This is the second time having a less than good experience with this particular location. We ordered three subs last night and on two of them ingredients were missing as in side items like lettuce and condiments. I literally got meat and some onions and that was it on my sub. I didn't call the store when I got home, even though I did last time I ordered from them with a similar issue and they were actually quite nice about it. I'm not, nor have I ever been someone looking for something free or a replacement. It's not that serious. I totally understand about how hard it is to get help these days, especially in this type of job, but I'll stick to the one in Solon from now on. Tonight we went in for dinner to take home. We love Dibella's and are long time customers. Unfrotunately things are going downhill there. The last three visits have been very unsatisfying. The shift manager, Nicole has a terrible attitude. She comes off as angry and rude. The first time we thought it was a fluke but tonight was too much. She was clearly angry that they were busy. (it's Saturday night. What do you expect?). She was finished with my sandwich and actually threw it at me. Other customers actually looked at me when she did it. I could not believe it. She then proceeded to give my husband the same cold rude service. We love DiBella's and we will continue to be customers but we will not go to this location ever again. The sandwiches and salad we got were fantastic! The value was high (we got 2 small subs, one medium, one salad, one kid meal and one Gatorade for $35!) and the portions were large. The flavors were on point. I only knocked one star off because the service was incredibly slow - however we found out at the end that the person helping us was new - so hopefully it's not usually like that. We always thought Di Bella subs were very good. Things have changed. We went in at about 10:15 Saturday morning in the Centerville/Dayton OH location. Empty at that time. I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak. Meat was tasteless, and I thought they forgot the cheese. Looked very carefully and there were a few fragments of melted cheese. My wife got the meatball. She ate half. I took a bite and actually spit it out. It tasted like filler. I used to love both their meatball subs and Philly Cheesesteaks. We didn't return them because the young kids working there were pleasant, and they have to follow management direction. I guess that means cutting way down on cheese. It also means working with lower quality ingredients. We used to go out of way to go to Di Bella's. After moving to another location, we hadn't gone there in several years. It really went downhill. Wish they just raised their prices rather than cut food quality. Place was clean. Will not return. A waste of $20 dollars. read more

I think that it's difficult to be a successful sandwich shop unless you have something different to offer. What I like about DiBella's is that they have quite the variety of meats and breads, and I love their famous oil dressing. It's full of herbs! I usually get the Dagwood with roast beef instead of ham, hot and on whole grain bread. They have excellent hot peppers, and I always ask for extra... It can never be too hot! A small sandwich is enough for me, and I can eat. A medium is close to being a footlong! I wish that they would spread the meat a little better. One bite will be just vegetables, another just turkey, another just corned beef, etc... I ordered this sandwich to enjoy it all together... Their pasta salad side is OK, they drown it in too much dressing. I do love their huge pickles here! Overall, I would choose DiBella's over Subway ANY DAY! read more

I prefer local restaurants, but as fast food chains go, this is not bad. Same idea as Subway (custom subs to order, no table service) but more food for the money. A "medium" is about the same size (a little shorter but wider) as a foot-long from Subway, has better quality bread, and costs less. Similar vegetable options, more cheese options, and a large dining room with real booths/better atmosphere to sit in (I'd never "eat in" at a Subway if I could help it). They're about as fast as Subway for cold subs (I can't judge the hot ones). The ingredients are not on view: they ask you verbally whether you want each one. This system seems to work OK, except you can't visually verify that they've got it right until you eat it. They don't have full table service but they do bring your sub out to you (by number tag) if it needs to be cooked. For vegetarians, always go for the Cold option. Hot means they grill the vegetables on the nasty Communal Slab of Melted Animals. (I'd also ask them not to slice the sandwich at the end, for the same reason: Communal Knife of Animal Tissue.) The veggie sub does have cheese (if you want it) but there's also a cheese sub--which I'll avoid in future: it has about eighty pounds of cheese on it! I find it hard to give up cheese 100% and go vegan, but that much cheese overload might just have pushed me over the edge! Minus one star because they use too little sauce (kind of flavorless as a result), and because they don't have a veg patty like Subway (and if they did, it would go on the communal grill), and because there have been ingredient mix-ups; but they were nice about it and offered a free sub coupon. Minus another star because my last veggie sub had a big chunk of tangy pink Mystery Gristle! Hwthleaughhh! Ingredient mix-ups can happen any place, so the real reason I hold it against the place: you can't see the food prep area behind the big counter. That means they have less incentive to keep things tidy, and you don't get to see what 's going in your sandwich. (Compare Subway: all behind glass, so you can actually SEE if there's a hunk of Free Range Cat or whatever among the lettuce, and tell them to take it off.) read more

My experience with DiBella's has been outstanding. The food is delicious with large portions and plenty of options. Love their online ordering tool which is easy to use and so convenient. Their curbside pickup is the best. No waiting. When I do eat inside the restaurant, it's always clean, and the staff is very courteous. I come there weekly for dinner, usually in the mid-noon/early evenings after leaving from the office where i work a few blocks away. Because of the pandemic, i started utilizing the online order option, but because it wasn't working the last few times recently, i simply came in to place my order. However, the last couple of times during my visit, i inquired to an employee about their online services being down. There was a brownish/blonde haired caucasian female employee by the name of Ashley whom seemed to have bit of a southern accent or country withdrawal that had a very smart mouth and nasty remarks when i would ask if they were aware of the situation and claimed "she doesn't get paid enough to worry 'bout allat". It was very unprofessionial and i wont be returning there anymore because of Ashley. read more
