SK CONCRETE EARNS OUR 5 STARS!…read more With El Niño on the horizon, we knew it was time to tackle a serious drainage problem. Palm tree roots had taken over the underground pipes along one side of our property, causing flooding and pooling every time it rained. Not exactly the water feature we had in mind! The solution was no small undertaking. It required cutting through concrete along the entire side of our property, locating and bypassing the compromised pipes, installing new drainage pipes and drains, connecting everything to the curb, and finally, pouring and finishing new concrete to seamlessly match our existing hardscape. SK Concrete handled it masterfully! Their crew arrived on time, was courteous and professional, communicated clearly throughout the project, and worked diligently to ensure every detail was done right. The finished concrete work is exceptional, blending beautifully with what was already there. SK Concrete came highly recommended by our son, and now we understand why! We're happy to pass that recommendation along to anyone looking for a skilled, reliable, and trustworthy concrete contractor who takes pride in their work. Thank you, SK Concrete! You guys ROCK!

This was the best experience I have ever had with a contractor in 28 years of owning my home!…read more Tarantino Masonry did our front patio and it came out spectacular. It is a flagstone patio in which he poured a concrete slab, let it set, then came back and set large pieces of flagstone on top in mortar while considering and making the drainage perfect. Not an easy task and needed an absolute professional and forward and smart thinker about the end project. Art Tarantino saw it all immediately and delivered in spades. I did get several other bids, he was the high end of the other bids, and had a longer wait time, but we are so glad we waited and went with him. His bid was true and we paid the exact estimate (no massive up charge at the end due to....you know the game). Can't recommend Tarantino Masonry enough, it's worth the wait!

I was given an excellent variety of bricks/blocks to choose for the wall, and the one I chose was competently installed. I was pleased to note the block I chose would be sourced from RCP in Chula Vista, where I have been a regular customer. The two workers agreed to relocate the existing pavers for my reuse as part of the original job. I really appreciated that. Although I was in no hurry, the job was completed quite expeditiously with the exception of the iron gate, the installation of which was subcontracted (and reviewed separately). The final results please me immensely. A&F solved a major problem, and I recommend the company to all.

The tree box looks amazing and is a big upgrade from what I had before. The price was exactly as quoted, and Luis gave me a receipt showing the material costs. We requested a quote on November 13, began the project on December 10 and did a final walk through on December 30. That was probably a week extended due to delays (with my AC vendor) in moving the AC so the concrete could be poured and the Christmas holiday. I could not be more ecstatic with the final product.
