I was eating next door and was going to a different nail shop and stopped at this 1 instead. I went in on a Friday afternoon about 2pm and there weren't any other patrons here so they took me quickly. The man did my nails and he was ok. The color selection seems scarce. They don't have the no chip colors painted on nails for sample eye view which was hard picking a no chip color. And I ended up hating my nail color. Also his nail shaping wasn't great! The first time I went, I hated it. In a pinch, I had to go back a second time. I LOVED IT! It's never crowded, I never have to wait & the guy does an amazing job! And... my nails last about 3 weeks! I just moved to Lombard, so I've been looking to find a new nail salon.....stick with what you know or your gut feeling...this was awful, I almost cried during my time there... They didn't talk to you, rushed the job and my nails did not turn out anything but decent.. I got them done a light color and they put the clear coat on and it put streaks of a different color on my nails... They did nothing with the cuticles or anything... I've been quite a few places... I went here for a manicure and pedicure. As they told me to sit down in the chair, I was somewhat nervous cause the place was dead. The massage chairs were actually decent. The technician began my pedicure, I was in awe to what an awful job she was doing. I had to tell her numerous times to go back and the cut the skin, or file them evenly. I can't explain how much did not enjoy it. Once I saw how she did my pedicure, I told her I didn't need a manicure anymore. I will not be returning here!! read more

I really really like this place! I hate bigger more popular salons around here cause there's ten different people doing nails just trying to rush you in and out. Here the customer base is small, it's a lot more personal. It's just the husband and wife and they always take their time. The man there does absolutely great acrylics, always pays very close attention and always goes all the way to the cuticle (big deal for me! As I hate getting my nails done and they look like they've ready grown out) the only negative this is sometimes he gets a little too close and gets my finger with the electric filer. Never bad though, usually don't notice till later when I can see a little irritation. Anyways I love this place for acrylics, would highly recommend! read more

I was excited to go and get my first pair of acrylics. I'd read yelp reviews and was looking forward to a good experience. When I first came in I was greeted but immediately asked what I wanted, not "what can I help you with today" or such, but with "what do you need done?" I figured perhaps this was simply a language barrier so I brushed it off and said I needed nails done. When I was sat down I was appalled at how dirty the work space was. Dust everywhere, the mat was not cleaned before being used and the bottles and tools were not cleaned properly. The trimming and buffering tools were not cleaned before being used on me. If not for the fact that rubbing alcohol was used on my fingers I'd have left mid work. He also did not use gloves and it was clear his hands were not in the best condition, with cuts, sore and calluses. It is understandable to have those things, but cleanliness and sterility is important. was then asked mid work to pay, rather than wait until after my nails were finished. I felt like I was being questioned on whether or not I was going to pay for my nails, and that was terribly uncomfortable. A fan was used to dry my nails, which is one of the worse ways to dry nails. He said wait two minutes and promptly walked away to sit at his computer. After two minutes I sat there unsure as to what to do and had to ask if I was able to go or if there was something else that had to be done. I will not be returning to Diane's nails anymore. They do good work, but it is not worth sitting at a dirty table without clean tools. read more

I've been here three times now, and all three times, the mani-pedi is perfect, the massage is great, the salon is clean, the prices are affordable, and the service is good. I prefer this salon to high-end salons I've been to in the city. Hope they keep it up! read more

I just moved to Lombard from the city and didn't really want to give up my place in the city. However, I was in dire need of a pedicure so I tried Diane's since it was nearby. I was very pleased. The price was the same as in the city. The place was clean. The muzak left something to be desired but I didn't mind. The massage chair was one of the best. It definitely was nice. I was a little hesitant to go in because every time I drive by the place is dead.... So I go in the place was not very fancy... The man that did my nails looked kinda sloppy but I must say he did a great job wit my nails (although he would hold my hand to tight it was kinda annoying and hurting me) the lady that put my polish smelled kinda funny almost like urine I think I will be back one more time and give them another chance! read more

When i moved to this area I tried several salons. After all that experimentation I came back to the first one and stayed. People are nice and the work is very good to excellent.
