***********OVERCHARGED*********** I am very disappointed…read morewith the service at this location as of lately. My daughter and I had a full set ($50)/French tip (additional $10). i had a no-chip pedicure as well. Total should have been $175. i was in a rush at the time, and after paying, the kind receptionist in spanish asked me if i spoke spanish and asked to see my receipt. I said why did she overcharge me?" and she said no its fine. i get a call the next day by either her or a manager that i had been overcharged and would discount me $10 at my next visit. I asked for the itemized receipt. Now i see that she basically charged me more to pay out for her tip. i had confirmed with the receptionist if they are charging gratuity, and she said no. PLEASE AVOID SEEING NINA WHO HELPED HERSELF TO OVERCHARGE ME! She also kept pushing for designs. not to mention today's visit, a different lady rushed my nails, so the clear polish looks tacky. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ASK FIRST WHAT THE CHARGE IS AND ASK FOR AN ITEMIZED RECEIPT!

It is also very clean and well kept up with. My first time coming I had gotten gelx long almond nails with chrome and they lasted me a month! This time I got builder gel short french tips. ** 2 Stars - Broadview Location**…read more I really wanted to love this location, but unfortunately, I left disappointed. I've visited several **Milano Spa & Nails** locations across the country, and my favorite is the **Houston location**. Every time I've gone there, I've been treated like royalty. The customer service, cleanliness, attention to detail, and overall experience have always been top-tier. Because of those experiences, I didn't mind paying for an **Uber from downtown Chicago** to visit the Broadview location. I expected the same Milano experience, but that's not what I received. I paid **$58 for a pedicure**, and my feet were still dry and rough afterward. The shape of my big toenail wasn't what I asked for, and the pedicure felt rushed and incomplete. A professional pedicure should leave your feet feeling refreshed--not looking like you barely had one. I was also concerned about the salon's cleanliness. The first pedicure chair I was assigned was dirty. When I mentioned it, I was simply moved to another chair instead of the original one being cleaned. I also noticed what appeared to be bugs near the pedicure station by the window. For a salon that presents itself as upscale, that was disappointing. Customer service was another letdown. My interaction with **Manager Chelsea** left me feeling that my concerns weren't taken seriously. Hospitality matters, especially when clients are spending their hard-earned money expecting a relaxing spa experience. Now, let me give credit where it's due... **Love me some Ivy!!! ** Ivy is absolutely amazing! She did a beautiful job on my nails, and she's the reason this review isn't lower. When I found out she originally came from the **Houston location**, everything made sense. She brought the professionalism, kindness, and quality of service that I've come to expect from the Milano brand. ** Five stars for Ivy!** ** Two stars for the Broadview location.** I have more I could say, but I think this gets my point across. I truly hope management takes these concerns seriously because this location has the potential to provide a much better experience. As for me, I'm requesting a **full refund** for my pedicure because the quality of the service simply did not match the price I paid.

Absolutely disgusting service…read more My two friends and I came in asking for regular manicures, yet we were each charged $74. While I was checking out, a man who didn't even do my nails briefly looked at them and then rang me up for a no-chip (gel) service--which is NOT what I asked for. There was zero communication about pricing or upgrades during the appointment. I later called to question the charge and was transferred multiple times, only to be told that my simple French tip design was an extra $22--again, something that was never mentioned beforehand. To make things worse, I was told to come in person if I had an issue, and then the employee hung up on me mid-conversation. Being overcharged is one thing, but the complete lack of transparency and disrespectful customer service is unacceptable. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Life isn't perfect but your nails can be. Need I say anymore?…read more It's located off 1st Avenue, on a main thoroughfare, in a strip mall with Dunkin Donuts. There's ample parking and staff to handle busy days without the classic sit at a station only to wait antics that happen at our nail establishments on occasion. I typically schedule an appointment, but I've noticed there are a number of walk ins too. In the last year, I moved to biobuilder and changed salons largely for this reason. The shape, level of care and relaxing environment are the cherries on top. Service is consistent and I'm always pleased with the end result and color options.

I came in today for what was supposed to be my regularly scheduled three-week nail appointment, and…read moreunfortunately, this will be my last visit. Last week, I received an appointment reminder for the wrong week. I called the salon and specifically explained that my appointment was supposed to be the following week. When I arrived today, there was no appointment scheduled for me. I calmly tried to understand what happened so that the scheduling issue wouldn't happen again, but instead of having a simple conversation about it, I was met with defensiveness and eventually had the nail technician raise his voice at me. I have been a good customer. I make my appointments, I call rather than simply not showing up, I pay for my services, I tip, and I communicate respectfully. I should be able to ask a question about my appointment or the price of my service without being treated as though I am causing a problem. There was also confusion regarding my price. I was initially quoted $70. I asked for a breakdown because based on the prices I had previously paid and the additional services explained to me, I calculated $65. After asking for clarification, the final amount was in fact $65, which I paid. What was most disappointing was the overall change in treatment. My hands were handled much more aggressively than usual, communication was dismissive, and after all of that, I left with gel that is visibly lumpy and uneven on my nails. I don't expect perfection from any business. Mistakes happen. What I do expect is professionalism, respectful communication, accountability when something goes wrong, and quality work for the service I'm paying for. Unfortunately, that was not my experience today. I paid for my service, said thank you, and left. I won't be returning.
