The only place in Lower Mainland that does PROPER bra fitting!!!! I was looking for this kind of place!! Choosing the right bras are always complex journey. Different bras have different sizing standard, depending on shape fitting is different etc... What this place does is they let you try the bra, and the bra fitter help you to pick the right bra, check if the cup is the right size, adjust the bra strap and check if the bra is fitting properly. The bra fitter is very knowledgeable about bras and trustworthy! One thing I wish they did was carry more Asian brand bras like Bradelis. read more

Took my daughter in here today to get some properly fitting bras. Gloria, our fantastic fitter, sized her correctly by eye and immediately brought a range of bras for her to try. Gloria was correct with her first option, after having tried a few different ones my daughter said the first suggestion was the best by far. left with 3 bras and one happy daughter. This is a great resource for anyone over an A or B cup. the bras are not cheap but Gloria showed us some bra care tips to make them last longer and we left 100% happy. I say this place is a gem, worth 6/5. And everyone else in the store was well treated and looked after in the hour I was there. Highly recommended. read more

OMG, boy was I wrong when I thought I was 34C all this time, geez louise!!!! Not even close. My confidence skyrocketed after my fitting. I have shopped on and off at this store for nine years. The off is because I have found they don't always carry my size. Recently I called about an item and was informed it may not be worth driving to the store as they didn't have my size to try on. No offer to order one in just "Oh well" we don't have it. Old fashioned ones too, that's their market ! 2) only one fitter was available when I was there, and she was busy helping a woman buy pajamas. Also, she was snarky. 3) while I was undressed a salesperson pulled the curtain open where I was standing half naked. When I said 'do you mind'? I was told 'there are no gentlemen here'. A few years ago, I was a nominee going to a major American awards show in Los Angeles. Formal attire was necessary & I needed the proper outlay of lingerie for my gown. Diane's was recommended and the afternoon I went, there was only one other customer, who entered after me. I was left scanning the store on my own for a minute or so while she was acknowledged immediately. I had to approach staff to ask for help choosing a bra and was pointed in the direction of a rack and told to look there. The rack held only pedestrian, full bodied support garments totally unsuitable for a wispy evening gown. There were no further offers of help so I left empty handed. Was it because I wasn't dressed to the nines? Perhaps my expectations of customer service were too high for this store but several years (& more nomination gowns) later, I haven't been back. read more

Omg - Why did I not come here sooner!? Just had Catherine help me with a fitting and recommendations, and I'm blown away at the fit. With a bigger than average bust, bra shopping usually makes me want to put chopsticks in my eyes trying to find something to fit. Not here though!! Catherine brought out a ton of styles and brands to help me find something that fit correctly, explained why and how to fit. They are more expensive but worth it to not have bulging around the bands or popping out of the cups!! I will be returning and the only regret I have is not coming here sooner. read more

Had the worst fitting with Gloria. I actually walked right out of the store in tears. I went in looking for a nursing bra, said I'd like something cute. Instead of letting my know she doesn't have anything in my size kindly, she rudely and abruptly said "oh, I got bras. I just don't got what you want!" Are you kidding me? You couldn't have said you don't have anything lacy, but her are some options that might fit. I reiterated several times I needed something. Anything. I didn't want to leave in the too small bra I came in wearing. I have no words for how rude and terrible my experience was. read more

Disappointed in the experience today...it's not the Diane's that I remember of long ago..hundreds of bras if you are a millennial person looking for undergarments...forget it for the sixty something - just felt a lack of meaningful interchange or caring... with sales person given such a personal thing, getting a bra...I walked out with one bra (so so - getting the dregs due to slow shipping)..I used to feel wonderful after a visit to Diane's Lingerie and leaving a good portion of the paycheque, but today...yuk..will not go back...lots of other lingerie stores with attuned specialists of bras....for the older woman.. read more

I wholeheartedly admit to being a total, full blown lingerie addict. It runs in my blood and in the family. When other folks were taking home flowers and books at university graduation, I was unwrapping a pretty green french set. My mother, she taught me well. But let's get one thing straight - when I say lingerie, I don't mean fluffy this, or sparkly that - the lingerie that looks pretty but is in NO way functional. I'm talking every day sort of lingerie. I walk, talk and preach the bible of a well-fitted bra and if you know me for longer then 30 minutes, chances are i'm going to talk you into getting a fitting. Diane's has a special place in my heart as it was the scene of the crime where I bought my very first set on my own dime. Yes, it's pricey. Yes, you'll spend over $100. No, I don't bat an eye. For well made stuff, you're going to pay the price but it WILL be worth it. And I bought my first set back in my, "there's only noodle soup and mustard in my fridge" era. I have long been a believer in spending a little more when it's an every day sort of affair. Even with my mother's influence, I admit much of my collection pre-Diane's was Joe Fresh something-or-other and my size was more of an educated guess. Ladies - if you haven't been and aren't sure about dropping the moolah - at least get thee in for a sizing. When I went in, the staff properly measured me and it turned out I was almost TWO SIZES off my correct bra size! I was flabbergasted! The ladies that work here are professional when they do the fitting and have a way that makes you comfortable to bare all while they adjust and fit. Don't be scared to be honest and ask a LOT of questions - these ladies know their stuff! Why is this bra $90? They'll tell you and you'll get it. Promise. I'm not a huge fan of the lace numbers but that's more of a personal opinion and I do have one small misfire in the mix. I picked up a pretty little halter number over the summer that doesn't QUITE fit me as well as the others I own. The back strap stretched MUCH more then I anticipated and I had to have it altered. But all in all, the items I own, i've been exceptionally happy with. Lines I love: Marie-Jo, Leilieve by Manicardi & Piége - the last of which is my most used day to day - love love love. So go in and at least get a fitting. And then when you're feeling up to it, tuck aside a little dough and treat yourself. But I warn you - there's no going back... read more

Not a place to browse, this is a place where they mean business! I thought I could meekly peruse the selections, but the saleslady swooped over and whisked me into the change room for an official sizing. That did not bode well for antisocial me, but I am glad she was so authorative about this procedure, as I was woefully, incredibly off target. My depressing, riding-up, horrible old bra was a 40 band. She tsk-tsked, pulled out her tape measure, and a few moments later bustled back with an array of bras with a 34 band. That felt pretty good right there I have to say. I actually did very little of the shopping. Instead, I just sort of stood in the change room while she went prowling for anything in my size. Every time I got something on, she'd open the curtain and prod everything into place and demonstrate for me how it should fit. Everything was very well made, and much better quality than what I was accustomed to. My eyes did a crazy swirly thing at some of the prices...the ones I liked best were in the $200 - $300 range. I did settle on 2 items that were 100 smackaroos each. (I was still riding a high from discovering I'm actually in much better shape than I thought.) I left with the girls riding sky-high on my chest and looking 20 pounds lighter. Pros: I walked out with a quality product (also some samples of laundry soap for "delicates.") Staff was knowledgeable and very capable. Even though I just stood there and didn't actually choose anything myself, she did better than I would have on my own. (During my session several brides-to-be were trying on bustiers and other things, and the staff seemed really helpful working that out for them as well). Cons: -The store is a bit overpoweringly personal. I sort of wished the transaction had been more straight forward; instead, they want to get your name and address so you're "in their system." All specialty lingerie stores seem to do this, like your part of a freakish club and must band together. -Expensive and not a *whole lot* of variety. (Forever Yours in Langley has more). I tried on about 6 bras. I bought 2. I spent $200 dollars plus tax. On 2 bras. And these were the cheapest bras. An odd size, yes (34 F) but euughhh...(that's a miserly moan!) Conclusion: Bosomy women of Vancouver, rejoice that a store like Diane's exists. But let the wild rumpus start with your VISA! read more

We visited Vancouver from Portland Oregon for a fun weekend. I went to Diane's after hearing positive praise about them for years and wasn't disappointed. As a breast cancer survivor, I require careful fitting, as there are areas that will always be uncomfortable. I am so grateful for Sabrina's professionalism and skill. She was kind and understanding in addition to having an amazing knowledge of her Inventory. Every fancy lady knows Diane's is THE place to go for good fit, high quality, variety of styles, & expert advice. Now, I'm not a large chested lady. I'm the opposite. I've had problems in the past finding something I can wear...so I wasn't really expecting a ton. In general, I'm just not the biggest fan of bra shopping, so this is why this store was No.1 on my list of places to find sexy lingerie for a photoshoot I was doing later that month with my wedding photographer. It was my first time in the store, so as I walked in, I looked around at the displays, just to size up the place. I didn't immediately see anything I wanted though, except maybe a couple on display. When an associate came to help me out, I told her what styles I was looking for (lacy/racy/sexy), AND I told her it was for a photoshoot. She wasn't fazed by my request, so I felt confident I would find something! She got me a fitting room, measured me, then went out to grab a few things. Customer service-wise, she was amazing. I didn't feel uncomfortable, she was attentive, and helpful. However, what she brought back was pretty disappointing. Not her fault though. They were great quality (Chantelle, Marie Jo), fit was about 75% there (better than most?), lovely bright colours...but very practical & basic (no embellishments, fancy seams, lace, or trim), and very...cute. Thanks? Ok, "cute" is not what I was going for. I love purple & tangerine orange, but what I really wanted was black lace or sparkles or something. I then asked her if she had anything with lace, at least? So she went out & checked, brought back a couple more...but still...purple, or red, no shades I really liked. Also not quite my size. What about the one I saw on the display? She checked...I crossed my fingers...and...oh, you don't have my size? You don't even carry my size? OH. Story of my life. Me, i can't just stuff a bra. Too much impossible magic involved. Sadly, I told her I would be looking elsewhere. Maybe I'm not the target customer because I'm not in the majority of sizes? Maybe the buyer should reconsider her purchasing? I don't know...I can't pinpoint any one thing, but the whole experience left me deflated. Something about it got my self-esteem plummeting & I was very, very discouraged. I know it's not the case but I felt like like small = not sexy. :/ A lingerie store shouldn't give me those feels. It's crazy because I KNOW my size is out there...easily found in Europe or Asia. But here? Nope. I eventually found something amazing at a luxury store (where EVERYTHING was amazing), but I think in a world dominated by cup sizes bigger than mine, I am just an itty bitty (titty) drop in the bucket. It would be nice to be able to find something in a boutique that specializes in more sizes for all styles! read more

I walked into Diane's Lingerie a bit intimidated. Ages ago, I read some kind of study that stated that over 60 per cent of women were wearing the wrong bra size. I knew the white soft-cup number I was sporting that day just wouldn't cut it. Curious, I asked if the salesgirl would be able to take my measurements and assess my proper size. As expected, I was way off. Unfortunately, my size was a bit uncommon and I was told that they didn't have my size in any of the styles in stock and that it would have to be custom made. This custom made bra would cost me nearly $200. Unfortunately, that was a bit out of my price range at the time but she said that as a close second, they do have other sizes that would be suitable (just not as perfect as a custom made one) and would cost only $60. Yes, this place is definitely a bit hexier than department stores but the service is excellent and the quality outstanding. Each seam and underwire exhaled quality and beauty. read more

I almost cried with joy after having such amazing service and a bra that finally fit. Until now I had been unable to find a bra in department stores that actually fit me. I was taken into a dressing room where I was measured and shown a few styles of bras to try out. By measured, I mean that the woman took one look at me and knew my size (she had been fitting bras for over 20 years and definitely knew her stuff). She showed me the proper technique for putting on a bra and how to adjust everything. They do offer to take your info and put it on file so that you can order online or over the phone. I just had my very first positive bra shopping experience thanks to Diane's Lingerie. I am a larger chested girl, and growing up, I would go to stores like La Senza, La Vie en Rose, and The Bay and grab a bunch of bras that looked cute. 95% of them wouldn't fit, the other 5% wouldn't be great, but I'd pick one that was the least annoying, pay for it, and leave with my self esteem hitting the floor. A few months later, the bra wouldn't support me anymore or the underwire would be digging in or something. Diane's Lingerie gave me a completely different experience. They put me in a fitting room and a woman came it, looked at my current bra and asked what I was looking for, then she left. By just looking at me (no measuring) she knew what size to bring me. Turns out, I've been wearing the wrong size my entire life, and now knowing my size, I realize that I really wouldn't find the right size at other stores (again, big chested!). The bras she brought me were the most comfortable bras I have ever put on, and for once, I found bras that actually fit my properly and they look so sexy too!! It was nice to be able to choose from a bunch of bras that fit me so well instead of settling for the one out of many that don't fit at all. Now, the bras I chose to buy are admittedly much more expensive that I am used to, but I totally understand why. They are comfy, and so well made by the looks of them. I only just bought the bra, so I can't speak yet for how well they hold up over time, but by the look and feel of them, I think they will do great! read more

I can't say enough good things. This store was my first experience with being 'fitted' and what a difference it made. I found out that my cup size was way too small and the size of the band way too big. If you have mushed together cleavage, you are not wearing the correct size of bra. In 2013 on a visit to Vancouver (we are from CA) I found I had forgot to pack a bra other than the one I was wearing. As a full-figured gal, I know I can't just pop into the local department store to find my size. But luckily I found Diane's on YELP. I was introduced to Diane's by a friend who taught me that it's okay to enjoy the finer things in life -particularly if it's food, booze or lingerie. On my first visit I was on a mission to find the perfect bra, and the gals here made that happen. Just as a word of warning, the sales people will want to come into the change room to make sure it fits properly. If you're extra shy, they would respect that, of course, but I myself like knowing I'm being fitted by a pro. In the end, I left with perhaps the most beautiful lingerie I have ever owned. Mind you, it's also the most expensive lingerie I have ever owned. Don't get me wrong, I'm not normally a big spender, but ladies, it's okay to treat yourself once in a while. I've been going to Diane's for years. I thought it was a great find as had always struggled getting decent bras for my big boobs. The staff always took their time and listened to what I wanted and had a good look at what was needed. However the last two times I was there, I have just felt uncomfortable. I had the same staff member the last two times and she literally didn't look at current fit of bra, just brought out exact same size as before and said that's fine. I'm now the owner of a $100 ill fitting bra. Same thing happened the last time, I was heavy pregnant and she didn't listen at all and just made me feel incredibly uncomfortable there. I'm going to try and find another place closer to where I live as I had actually been making an effort to go there. Not again. read more

I am very disappointed. The bra I ordered and received is beautiful, but does not come anywhere near fitting. I ordered a 34 G. That size has a small band with a large cup. Hence, the H designation. The bra I received said Xlarge. The band is too loose , and the cups are way too small . I thought I had finally found a reasonably priced bra that would fit. I can't say enough good things about the exceptional customer service at Diane's. I recently ordered two bras to replace some old ones that I'd purchased previously at Diane's. Unfortunately, the wrong style was sold to me, which I only noticed after wearing one of the new ones for a few hours (it was too high on the sides for me and was not as comfortable as usual). I returned the one unworn bra to the store to exchange it for the correct style. The salesperson brought up my file and confirmed that the store had sold me the wrong style of the bra I wanted. Without hesitation, she took back the unworn bra and told me to bring back the one that I had worn (with tags removed and all!) for an exchange of both of them. She said that the store's goal is to make sure that I am completely satisfied with my purchases. I have always found the staff and service at Diane's to be first rate. I definitely don't mind paying more for their bras, as I know that they are of very high quality and will last a long time, and they'll fit me perfectly. read more

I used to come and get my bras here because I have a large cup and small back but my last couple experiences here have led me to find new places to shop. As you can see in the pics there isn't a real selection of bras on the floor so you can't just pick what you like yourself-someone goes to the back and grabs a few they think you may like which wasn't fun or effective for me. The salesperson brought me three bras in varying sizes - none in my size, and none which fit or had the features I wanted. She then told me that these were the last ones in these sizes so if I didn't buy one I wouldn't be able to at a later date. I like seeing and choosing styles for myself, I don't really need to be condescended to or told what to wear, and most importantly pawned off the items or odd sizes you'd like to get rid of. I heard Diane's carried good quality bras, and that's what I always purchase because it is so worth getting good quality and the right fit. They do have the bras I like. What is disappointing s the sales staff (bra fit specialists) are overpowering, and seemed to judge a woman by appearance. That's right, I'm a jeans and t-shirt gal and don't look glamorous. I wish i could give this pace a 0. As other reviewers, i found fitters to be very snarky, unprofessional, sometimes even catty and definitely unqualified. I have come to the store twice. The first time I asked for a seamless t shirt bra, The fitter brought me one option - $170 lace bra, and she insisted i try it on, even though i told her this is far from what i want. I explained her a definition of a tshirt bra, and she proceeded to bring me overpriced lace bras again. She kept telling to trust her, as she knows what she is doing. A couple of weeks ago, I decided to try them again. I asked for a specific brand (its pretty widely known and they carry a lot of their line). Woman told me that none of the bras come in my size (34G), even though thats what the brand specializes in. Again, tried to upsell me to lacy $200 bras. Their bras are extremely overpriced, around $40-80 more than average at least. I would definitely use Diane;s to figure out your size for certain brands, and then buy online. As long as you can handle their nasty attitude. read more

I've been here twice and had the same fitter. The first time, I told her which size I thought I needed (which was actually a band size too large and two cup sizes too small). She didn't bring me that size, but the next band size up. She realised it was too big and brought the next band size down. The bra was declared a perfect fit (it wasn't) and she kept telling me how $100 is a really good price for a bra that fits (it's not). I wasn't sure about the bra, so I didn't buy it. I ended up buying it elsewhere online for about 1/3 the price a couple of weeks later. Surprise, it fit horribly after wearing it for about an hour. A few months later, I thought I'd give the shop another try. This time, I had some specific requests for styles to try, knowing what would suit my shape better. Unfortunately, the fitter did not know what to bring me and everything I tried on was very wrong. I wouldn't mind paying their prices for the bras if the fitters actually brought me ones that fit me properly. Not being able to browse their stock is frustrating, but wouldn't be a problem if the fitters were competent at knowing which style suits women. read more

Diane's Lingerie has great customer service. I came here looking for a bustier for my wedding dress and the saleswoman had me in the fitting room as soon as I entered the store. From there she brought me a few bras to try and checked in with me to make sure the fit was right. It was a painless and quick process. Finally made it to Diane's after trudging through several lower cost (and also lower quality) alternatives. This place seems to be kind of a big name in Vancouver lingerie -- a decently stocked, high end lingerie shop staffed by women who do know something about underwear, in a convenient and easily accessible location. There is not all that much to say about this place other than that. It carries quite a few different lines. Prices are high, which is fair -- you can't really expect to get La Perla quality for La Senza prices. There is, of course, a markup, but it does not seem extreme. For example, the black Chantelle C Chic demi that I picked up costed $85+tax at Diane's -- it's listed for $68 on some American sites, but factor in shipping and duty, and that's really not a terrible difference. The atmosphere is kind of strange, and that's the main reason I took a star off. My husband was not allowed in the back area and had to stand, bored, in the front, for most of the time, along with several other bored husbands/boyfriends. This also meant I had to walk out half naked into the middle of the store if I wanted to show him what I was trying on and get his opinion. Eventually we managed to sneak him into my changing room where he finally got to sit down and I could stop giving everybody (including those other husbands/boyfriends) a show. (I hope they enjoyed it.) I didn't find the saleswomen pushy. Maybe they thought I looked like I knew what I was doing and mostly left me alone. I actually wouldn't have minded better service -- I had to hunt down the lady who was helping me and make her show me more stuff. As the selection is good and the markup is reasonable and I have not managed to find any better-atmosphered alternatives, I'll likely be coming back here for my lingerie needs. read more
