Horrible treatment. My mother and I went passing by and stopped in. We were just looking. My mom has had breast cancer and reconstructive surgery, but it has left her with one side empty. The sales associate (S for Shnaz ?)was nice enough, but quick to point out the problem was my mom needed to purchase a new bra. She went as far to say "I don't like this bra, you need a better one." The bra my mom had on was NOT a cheap one and fairly new, but maybe the gal was just trying to upsell. Anyhow, she found a new bra ($89.99) and then gave my mom a silicone "chicken cutlet" to slip inside on the empty side. When the gal rang us through, the total was $155.00; so $49.99 for the one silicone piece. I enquired whether it came with a box or care instructions and the gal said, "No, that's how it comes. You just wash it with soap and water." When we got home that night, mom noticed that there was a piece of tape on the piece. She was going to remove it, and I told her not to because I noticed the silicone was split under the tape. The tape wasn't even clean, it had bits of lint in it. So essentially, we (my mom) was sold a used, damaged product. When she called the shop to explain the situation, she was given the run around and was told it was basically our fault. The gal first said she only charged mom half price because she was giving her only one insert instead of the set (they usually come in a set and we were only given the one). Mom said no, half price would be if she were given the set , not half the set for the normal price divided by 2. The gal couldn't see this and argued this with my mom. Moving on, the gal admitted that yes, it was a damaged item, but she didn't explain or disclose this to us at the time because we were in a hurry to get to the opera. But it was only 5pm and the opera didn't start until 7:30, so that is a load of bunk; we had plenty of time. So basically, my mom, who has survived breast cancer in both breasts, a kidney transplant and 2 hernias was swindled by this gal who saw an opportunity to offload a spare, used part of damaged inventory to make a buck off my mom's uneven breasts. However, it's not the money that bothers us. It's the treatment towards and exploitation of someone who has a) explained the intimacies of their scarred body to a stranger while asking for help; and b) overcome sickness and many struggles to survive. Basically the gal says we are stuck with it and there is nothing she can do. Lesson learned I guess, and we will not be returning. read more
