He got our car off in August. Was told it was a 2-4 week job. Instead the owner has put our car on the back burner just so he could take other cars in. It's nearly impossible to get an update and when I finally do get a hold of him, he literally only blows smoke up are butt and just enough good news to get us off his back. This was the first time I ever needed bodywork done on my car and I had complete trust in Ramon and his team. BIG MISTAKE! I took my car in around the end of June, I told Ramon that I needed my car back in the middle of July because I was going on vacation and he said no problem. My car was done on time BUT Ramon kept giving us the run around on when my car would be done. One minute it was this day, the next minute it was 2 days later. He let me know that there was extra damage to my car that he didn't realize so he wanted me to contact my insurance company to let them know how much extra damage there was and that they would need a larger check. Isn't that like your job to contact my insurance with a quote of the extra damages you found? At this point I was very annoyed . Not only this, but when I went to go pick my car up... it wasn't even done! The paint on my car wasn't even fully buffed out so it had "orange peel" effect to it. I had to keep telling his team that they had to buff it out and I also pointed out that on my passenger side there was a chip in the paint like someone opened the door and hit something with it. When I finally took my car home I had to get it inspected, and what do ya know my back break light was out! The damage to my car was for the back right corner panel so I knew they either disconnected it or messed with it. I contacted Ramon on multiple occasions saying that this had to be fixed and he would say "okay" but when the day would come I would text & call him and he would not answer. You can't trust this guy, and I would never recommend him to anyone. I also found out that he used to own a different company and was shut down for scamming people out of extra insurance money and switching parts from others cars to put on cars that have been there longer. Shouldnt even get 1 star. I took my car into this shop on April 6th to have it repainted after a vandlization and the owner took 6-7 weeks to fix it. His communication was terrible and the date kept getting pushed back. I finally had to threaten to come with the cops and the next day he responded with it will be ready in 3-4 days. It was still pushed back another few days after that. When I got it back the paint was terrible. I couldnt believe it. I see now why he had me pick the car up after the sun was going down and the shop was closed for the day, hoping I wouldn't see the paint well. Not 1 or 2 small things wrong, this entire paint job is garbage. Runs all over my door, covered in horrible orange peel, there's droplets of watermarks all over my trunk in the clear coat where they got it wet while it was drying! What kind of person tries to pass such a jacked up paint job off to someone?? The biggest concerns is that he charged my insurance for ALOT of work he didn't do and lied to my face saying they wouldn't pay to fix it when I did ask why it wasnt done. When I told him I have an invoice from my insurance that shows he was in fact paid for those repairs (also the adjuster and other shops told me he was paid for it) He immediatly said he will not respond by text or writing anymore. He also refuses to make the situation right. I immediatly took the car to other shops to get estimates for his shotty work and its gonna cost me over $700 to fix his bad work. I asked him to pay the shop directly for fair resolution (so there's no way to say Im just trying to get $) I just want it fixed right. He told me "thats not how it works and if I want resolution it will only be thru his shop only" Even though he has shown complete incomentacy when it comes to painting cars. I have text after text of nothing but lies from this guy Ramon. He introduced himself and his wife as owner and now that I told him were going to court and contacting the news, he suddenly said he's not the owner anymore. He originally told me that my car took so long bc he prioritized heathcare workers. I work for the healthcare system so when I brought that up he instantly changed his story again to it's bc of covid and his workers are taking care of their elderly family. I pointed out to him that auto shops are considered essential business' and most other shops in town didn't shut down or take 7 wks to fix paint on a car so there's no valid excuse for it. If u read the reviews of google and the complaints of the news, he was taking 7wks or longer to complete work LONG before this pandemic. I found out after I got my car back that he's well known for this shotty work and ripping people off. He even had a prev shop called gearhead autoworks that was ran out of business by the news bc he was ripping people off and got exposed. I contacted the media to make sure they know he's still at it. I also filed several complaints with different agencys. This shop should not be in business BEWARE!! Just look at all the reviews and u will see plenty on this guy and his so-called "shop" I will be taking him to small claims court to recoup my loss. This guy is a fake and does nothing but commit insurance fraud. I'm sure he's hired a couple decent painters a in the past and that's how he's gotten a few decent reviews (if they arnt fake) but is it really worth trusting your expensive vehicle too? Everyone who has written negative reviews on this shop and owner says the same exact thing on repeat. He kept the car forever, did sub-par work, and charged the instance for work he did not complete, etc. He needs to be prosecuted for what he's doing. Found this shop and we are extremely grateful we did!! Ray the boss came to our home to do the estimate on our car so we didn't have to drive all the way across town. Not only did they fix the damage that was done to our car but they went above and beyond and did some extra stuff to our car that needed fixed AND vacuumed the Inside!!! I will be recommending Rays shop to everyone I know! You can't find places like this anymore. Your lucky if the original job gets done correctly let alone getting superb service like we did! Took my 2019 Dodge Ram to get worked on .. the truck had to get paint twice because the first time the clear coat was sprayed sloppy.. Ramon the owner assured me that they used nothing but the best paint and clear.. well 6 months later the paint started peeling off I decided to take it to the dealership and they said the job diamondback did was the worst the had ever seen.. no primer was ever applied and that is why the paint was peeling off.. I called Ramon and he promised to help me with my deductible.. everytime I call him to get the check he promised it's one excuse after another and now he won't even answer.. I will never do business there again.. please be careful doing business with him.. Where do I even begin? First of all, thank you to Ramon for everything. I don't know where I would have gone to to fix my Bertha (Nissan Rogue) if it hadn't been for Ramon and Diamondback Collision. D.C presented itself to me when I was pulling out of the QT on 22nd and alvernon, I had just wrecked me car and she was looking ugly for sure. Ramon saw me pulling out of the parking lot and honked at me to hand me his business card. At first I thought damn how is this going to help me? Then I looked down and saw that they pay up to $500 of your deductible. That was a GODSEND!!! I was dealing with a $2000 deductible so to have a 1/4 of it taken care of was great news. Ramon was so easy to talk to and trust, he took great care of me and took my busy lifestyle into consideration. I'm a single mother of one so when I didn't have my car it was stressful but to know that I was in good hands meant a lot. I definitely refer them for any type of paint of body work needed. THIS IS A SHAM/SCAM OPERATION - KEEP AWAY from this scam/sham artist. I had to file a police report today. They were to fix my car in 2 weeks - MORE than enough time for the job - but given it was Christmas and New Year's GEICO gave them the extra time. Come Jan 4th: NO CAR - they needed one more week...one week later: NO CAR - they needed another week...again NO CAR. When I visited the shop at 5450 S. Arcadia Suite 100 - the workers were in shock - they didn't even know where my car was located and it was obvious NOTHING had been done. When I went to "finally" pick up the car last Wednesday - again - NO ONE there knew I was coming for the car - when they got the car out - the work wasn't finished AND a light was MISSING - AND they didn't even color match the paint job. Lots of screaming and yelling on my part I was SO angry. Then they scrambled - no one knew where the parts were!! Unbelievable. Ramon, the owner, called that evening with his typical excuses and said it would be dealt with that night and he'd call me. I had to phone him the next evening because - AGAIN - no one called me. He told me the car would be ready Friday. I arrived on Friday: THE CAR WAS MISSING THE LIGHT. However, I made sure to get the car back. Rene told me they'd have the light the next day and he would install it. I took my chances to believe him. On Saturday, he got the light and installed in less than 30 seconds. He asked me to give them a 5 star review - I told him there is NO WAY I would do that. I said they'll most likely hear from a lawyer. BTW - my car is now making noises of something scraping - and I've already made arrangements for it to be inspected for safety and that the appropriate "repairs" were made (the noise I hear tells me most likely NOT). Also, BTW - I asked a half dozen times for an itemized receipt of the parts and work done from Ramon - he's yet to give it to me.
