I didn't read my septic details well and was off on the amount of sewage that needed to be pumped. SSB got me pumped out and clean. Thanks SSB!. With the septic system completely backed up, we couldn't even run the dishwasher. To make matters worse, it was during a snowstorm and on a weekend. We called that morning, hoping someone might be able to help, and this company absolutely delivered. By 1 PM they already had a crew at our house servicing the septic tank. Considering the conditions and that it was an emergency weekend call, the price was incredibly reasonable. The two technicians who came out were fantastic. They were professional, efficient, and clearly knew exactly what they were doing. They handled a stressful situation with calm confidence and had everything working again much faster than we expected. A special thank you as well to the owner, Mario, who made sure we were taken care of even though it happened to be his birthday. That level of dedication to customers really says a lot about a company. If you ever need septic service, I would highly recommend them without hesitation. They've officially earned a permanent spot on my emergency homeowner contact list.

To my relief, she quickly looked up our as-builts and got us scheduled for the very next day. The following afternoon, a wonderful gentleman by the name of Randy came out to see us, right on time. I can't say enough about how much of a breath of fresh air Randy was! He was extremely polite, beyond cordial, gracious, helpful, and friendly. He took the time to carefully explain everything to us and patiently answered all our questions. He even helped us find an elusive septic cover that we weren't able to locate. He gave us great advice about how we could protect our system to avoid any possible future issues and problems. It was very obvious that Randy was a family man with excellent work ethics, and who took great pride in his work. Randy pumped out our system, including a section that the previous "other" company hadn't bother to pump out. If I had one word to describe Randy, it woud be "AWESOME"! I am so glad we hired McNel's to service our system. I feel very comfortable and reassured that we are in good hands with them. They will be out again in a few days to replace our failing pump. Thanks Randy for all your help! You're awesome!!

I'm reflecting now from the safety of many miles. It was a memorable day speaking from a sensory level. Regardless of the gut wrenching details, Shawn came out to our house and helped us button up some details that we didn't know about. They are a reliable group with integrity and I cannot speak to the amount charged. We paid without looking at the invoice and regardless would have trusted them with all the details. This will go down in the win column and we absolutely recommend them.

Justin looked at the issue, offered several quick fixes and made some suggestions we can do without needing expensive repairs. To be sure, when I do need any plumbing help in the future (because with a house it's always "when" not "if") you can bet Steady Flow will be my first - and probably only - call. Just as a side note - I had two other plumbers come out to review the same issue. One said it would cost $1000K+ to fix, the other recommended replacing our 6 year old water heater (which is working fine btw). Many small plumbing companies are being bought up by private equity firms, which push expensive and unnecessary repairs or products to pad their bottom line. Steady Flow is a company that is still on the side of their customers!

I ultimately chose Zone 8 for a few reasons: 1) prompt and courteous first contact, 2) a reasonable preliminary estimate based on what I explained (I understand that these can change, but I did appreciate the willingness to ballpark the cost up front); 3) availability; 4) The 2-year warranty Paul was the professional who was dispatched today. He was able to quickly diagnose the issue and validate what needed to be done before getting right to work. He replaced the hose bib, tested it for any leaks and then got me the bill. The cost of labor and parts lined up with the preliminary quote and there were no surprises or hidden fees. I highly recommend this business.

Anthony called back shortly and gave me some recommended next steps. He kept me in the loop to assure me of what to expect. His crew came by in a couple of days to find an issue with the pump. They replaced it promptly. We also had them flush the drain field piping. Subsequently, we had a circuit breaker issue. They gave me a reference to an electrician, and we got that fixed shortly. The key thing that stood out throughout my experience is the care Anthony showed toward the problem. I valued that care the most. That was A+.

Fresh N Clean Septic accomplished what I had thought would be the impossible: installing a…read morereplacement septic system with a drainfield on top of the old one on a property where there was next to no space to work in, with access problems, tight passageways, numerous obstructions, a creek, tree stumps and old concrete that needed to be broken up and hauled off, overwhelming amounts of groundwater, and huge old cedar trees and mature landscaping which I was bound and determined to suffer the least possible disturbance. This was the ultimate test of "thinking outside the box," and Kiril and his crew came through with flying colors, using highly imaginative work methods, at a cost that was below both the other bids I received. And both those other contractors insisted that alterations were going to have to be made to my property which I was not willing to accept. Kiril proved them wrong. He also has specialized equipment that allows him to perform work of this nature that the other contractors apparently do not have. Now that the project is finished, I am blown away by the degree of respect that Kiril and his crew showed for my vegetation, walkway and outbuilding, with the result that my property emerged practically unscathed, except of course for the surface restoration work I'll have to do. Kiril is a highly intelligent, friendly individual with two engineering degrees - in the words of the system designer, "too smart to be doing what he is doing," but he does it because he genuinely enjoys helping people. All you need to do is look at his website - which many other septic installers do not even have - to see that this is a guy who knows what he is doing. Born and educated in Bulgaria, he nonetheless speaks superb English and coordinates all the elements of the project like clockwork. The two employees of his who did most of the installation work are from Europe, and they worked hard and performed excellent, European style craftsmanship. There was no standing around staring at smartphones with these people. I felt as if I had contracted for a mundane utility system and ended up with a Swiss watch. Also, they handled the electrical aspect of the work, so I didn't have to deal with a separate electrical contractor. I would have preferred to be kept a little better apprised of the status of the work, particularly inasmuch as the project dragged on quite a bit longer than expected due to various unforeseen circumstances. But this was not enough of a demerit to warrant deducting a star. Even if it had been, the quality of the work was six stars, so subtracting one star would still have yielded a net five stars. The one thing to remember with Kiril is that texting is the way to communicate remotely. Don't bother with email. But when you are dealing with him in person and on site, he is the nicest guy to work with. He wants to make sure everything is installed exactly the way you want it and you are happy with his work. So if you want a first class installation at a reasonable cost and you like a civilized, old world style of doing business, you should definitely put Fresh N Clean Septic at the top of your list of contractors to solicit bids from. At a minimum, you'll get a superbly prepared, detailed bid - far more professional than the other bids I received. And Kiril was the fastest to get me a bid and show up for a site inspection of any of the contractors I contacted. Highly recommended! I totally dreaded having to replace my septic system, and I usually dread dealing with contractors, but this one is a glowing exception.
