I rented from them and was very specific in my request; " I need a unit that is drive up". To ME this means I can drive up to a door and have easy access in order to load heavy objects. The young man first said they didn't have anything, then said they had ONE 5x 5 unit. "so it's drive up?", I asked to clarify because he had, had a little bit of an attitude about it, He looked at me like I was three- headed and said yes. I thanked him, paid and made sure to verify again that my contract says I have to exit by 10 pm ( not 24 hours access which was what I preferred and was advertised). I show up two days later at 8 pm. Since it was a Saturday, the office would b closed until Monday. I pulled out my little " this is ur unit HERE" map and proceeded to drive in circles trying to understand where my unit door was. I finally realized 20 minutes later that my " unit door" was marked confusingly because it was ACTUALLY a door that led to a short narrow hallway with other units. That meant I had to CARRY my heavy items down the hallway to my unit, NOT pull up to a door with EASY access. I was so angry by then I couldn't see straight. I gave notice a week later and left. Apparently I was unclear with my needs, as ALL units to them are " Drive- UP". read more

This has been the worst experience with a storage facility I have ever had. To be clear I have chosen to leave this facility I was not asked to leave or made to leave I chose to leave with 6 months left of my half off for a year promotion. But they are so awful that I had to leave anyways. I received a notice on my unit door that had a paragraph highlighted from the lease and it was about loitering at your own unit I was accused of having parties, I was accused of running a business, I was accused of closing my door to much. I was accused of sleeping in my car none of which I have ever done. It was so absurd and ridiculous I couldn't believe what I was reading. They never told me when I supposedly did these things or which one of them I actually did because I didn't do them. Apparently if you are at your unit organizing your own stuff in a unit that you pay for than you are loitering and that is a violation, if you have one person at your unit to help you than you are having a party and that is a violation, apparently if you wipe down your car for 5 mins that is considered working on your vehicle which of course is a violation. Since day one I have been harassed by them for anything from having my door closed to much to wiping off my car for 5 mins. Yes that's right I said for having my door closed too much. I mean it is so ridiculous to the point of being offensive. And if your there after dark get ready to deal with the security. They came to my unit 10 times in a row and asked me for my id each time and took a picture of it even though I had done nothing wrong I wasn't even past the 10 o'clock curfew and they still wouldn't take a pic of my id. They said that the office wants to know who is here and they are right because they take that info and if your there after dark for a couple nights in a row they can violate you for loitering (which I have no idea how you can loiter at your own unit) and they can violate you for working on stuff or having a party or anything they feel like making up and then charge you a violation fee. The next thing that they are going to implement is searching your stuff that you bring in to store to make sure it doesn't violate their storage guidelines. I mean searching through your stuff are you kidding me. It's like your renting a storage in prison. read more

This is the worst storage experience I have ever had. First I came here because it offered 24 hours access. READ ON, IT GETS WORSE! I had barely moved my items in, and staff was telling me I had to LEAVE the door open when I was rearranging things inside. Well, I don't know about you, but I don't like advertising to others (by leaving the door open) what's inside. Secondly, I don't want moths and flies coming in laying their eggs in everything. Thirdly, I want to keep the dust and heat out, so leaving the door open is just a bad idea all the way around. It gets worse. After timely paying my rent, 3 weeks later I get an eviction notice. Why? I'm told because I was living in the unit. Funny! I live on the South Hill in a nice apartment. How rude the staff was. So I spoke to my attorney, and he says the were trying to make me illegally vacate sooner than the 30 days allowed by Washington State law. So definitely you will want to avoid Diamond Storage, unless you want to be hassled, treated illegally, and want staff that makes up the rules as they go along, instead of delivering what was agreed to, and that you paid for. (And who are disrespectful to their customers, and attempt to steal your things by not giving what's allowed by law to leave. read more

Just a heads up they offer great pricing on their larger units. They pro rate you on the month you come in to rent but I. Section 5 of page 3 they will not or rate your unused days the month you move out. Also when moving out there was a green van with two occupants a man and women shooting heroine. My wife and I have stored our winter car at Diamond Storage for over 8 years. We have been treated so well by Brandi, Jim, Len and all the other employees at Diamond Storage and their sister company Sunset Park and Jet. We only need the storage unit for 6-7 months each year and they still treat us like year round renters. I highly recommend Diamond Storage. They are located at the top of the Sunset Hill. read more
