I returned my parking key fob and surrendered my stall on December 19, 2025, and have been trying to get refunded for unused parking and my key deposit ever since. It is now March 26, 2026, and this still has not been resolved. There has been a consistent lack of communication and follow-up -- calls not returned, emails unanswered, and promised callbacks that never happen. I was never provided any written agreement stating payments were non-refundable, yet they are refusing to reimburse for parking I no longer had access to after I returned the key fob. This situation has dragged on for over three months for a small refund and has been handled very unprofessionally. I would not recommend Diamond Head Parking based on this experience. read more

Terrible company and service. This company, based in Spokane, WA, is operating in Honolulu and I wish I could give them zero stars. Their parking operation is completely unreasonable. I've been parking at this restaurant for years, and after not even three hours of dining, I received a $51 ticket, simply because they took over the parking lot and I didn't see the new sign. This is not okay. Locals have parked for free at our favorite restaurants in Kaimuki for generations, and now an out-of-state company is coming in and ticketing local residents. Is there a way to report these assholes? They own the system at my apartment's parking structure and their card/license plate scanners constantly never work, so I'm stuck trying to get in/out. -1000 stars because of how non-existent their customer service is. I parked my vehicle at 8:52am in a Diamond parking lot. I drive a heavily modified vehicle so I was not surprised when the lot attendant walked over as I was getting out and started taking pictures...didn't think anything of it. I scanned the QR code on the wall and started putting my information in...took me about 2 minutes. My hour paid parking started at 8:54am-9:54am. When I returned to my car, I noticed a parking ticket on my windshield that was issued at 8:53am. I was furious, I reached out to the number on the back and sent them the footage from my Tesla camera from the arrival at 8:52am to him putting the ticket on my windshield at 8:53am. The only thing they told me after watching the video is that I wasn't covered in the 2 minutes and that I needed to pay the fee. Diamond Parking on the Big Island was the worst parking experience ever. Their signs direct you to pay before entering the parking lot, holding up traffic behind you. We paid for two hours ($39) expecting a validation from the restaurant next door. When we found out we paid at the incorrect lot, we immediately moved our car to the correct lot and notified Diamond. They refused to give us a refund even though their camera showed us leave within minutes after paying. Imagine after you dine to go to your car finding on your windshield a bill for $50 dollars for "NO ADVANCED PAYMENT". The time of my payment 5:37pm The time on the phony parking citation 5:47pm!!! My car was towed, I parked legally ( placard on rear view mirror in front of Waikiki US Post office handicap parking spot. I was only parked for a hour . I even paid even though no sign on my parking spot. I called police they said no ticket was given, because my car was parked legally . However the manager of post office ( I will place a complaint with post US postmaster Monday when I'm back at work) decided he didn't like the idea that I was parked in front of post office and didn't stay in post office . He let the tow company tow my rental car, granted I m a retired Soldier that serviced my country for 33.5 years and continue to serve the government for 45 years . The reason I'm posting this is the parking employees were the most disrespectful, belligerent, people I have ever encountered. They held me and my wife hostage for ( 265 dollars in cash 270 actually ) no change because they wouldn't release our rental car. Until they cursed us out and demanded cash and wouldn't give change nor a receipt . ( I will also file a legal compliant with government contracting to get this contractor fired the tow company for Diamond Parking Services . The sad part is how they spot to me and my wife, I'm not in my home of texas we were flying the next morning otherwise it would have been a different outcome. I'm sorry, but this company is a sloppy sh!t show. It seems like it was a thriving family-owned business once upon a time, and then either the owners got old and stopped giving a sh!t or the younger generations didn't want to take over the business cuz it seems "abandoned" if that makes sense? They have outdated, non-functioning systems, no live workers at any of the parking booths, if you need assistance at the gate box, you get put on a phone call with the mainland customer service line (and the connection is crap, so they can't hear you and you have to yell + talk slow), and the local office hours ensure pretty much no customers can come to the office. When you call the office, your only option is to leave a message stating your needs and wait for them to call you back. Been trying to get a monthly parking pass for over two weeks, keep getting bounced around between local and mainland offices and told different things each time. Mind you- I PAID for the monthly pass. But I never received a parking card, and the gate reader "doesn't recognize my license plate". So I've had to pay to get out each time since. Unfortunately it's one of those situations where I'm at their mercy because I need to park in their lot for work. It's just a mess. They need someone with time and money (and integrity) to buy out the company and do a total overhaul/update/upgrade to the structures, systems, and staffing. The parking attendant was an Asian lady with a hat and a neon vest. She started to yell at us saying we can't park there and go across as it's private property and we weren't allowed to do that. She said we should look at the website before parking there. She was incredibly rude. She then called the cops and who knows what she told them but 4 cop cars showed up and she began ranting to them about something. Seeing that she was crazy they drove off after a minute or two speaking with her. This lady is ruining business for the strip of businesses there and certainly makes it unappealing to want to visit One Love or any other business in the area. After getting my blood drawn at DLS on Liliha, I proceeded to bring my validated ticket with payment to the window. My arrival time was 8:09 and when I brought her cash, checked my watch it was 8:21 (12 minutes of parking). My boyfriend got charged twice by their system. Declined the first card, so we used another. We checked our account of the first card soon after, and a payment was posted. Don't even bother trying to call. The Oahu number on Google and their website are both inaccurate. I tried calling Kona, Maui, and all of the Cali numbers with no answer to any. On top of that, I even waited over 10 minutes on hold on their toll free number. I have no idea what to do now. First off, I would give this company negative stars if at all possible. They are not even providing any kind of product or service and yet they can still manage to aggravate anybody using their lots while visiting a business establishment. There is a sign at the back of the lot that says "PAID public parking available 9pm-5am". Basically, the lot is free parking in the "Customer Parking" visitor stalls while you are at the businesses there. I was at one of the shops from 10am-2pm. Get back to my car to an unwelcome surprise parking ticket on my windshield. A $40 ticket if paid within 15 days, $70 if paid after 15 days. I go back to the business I was at and asked them about the ticket. They said to call Diamond Parking and explain that you were at a workshop the whole time and that they can vouch for me if Diamond Parking wanted to call them. I called Diamond Parking and they said it was because I was parked there longer than 2 hours. There was nowhere indicating that there was a 2 hour limit on parking anywhere on the premise. When I stated that, they then went on to say it was what the landlord that told them 2 hour limit. When I asked if I could have the landlord's contact info so I can verify, they wouldn't give me the contact information. I told them that the businesses there would need to let customers know about this 2-hour parking rule. I would gladly tell the tenants about this parking issue so that they would no longer want to lease the spaces there because Diamond Parking would drive away customers. Then they offered to "do (me) a favor by lowering the fine this one time, it would be the amount I would've had to pay anyway by staying there 2 hours longer." Well, as mentioned earlier, I shouldn't and wouldn't have had to pay anything as a customer at the business establishments there! It seems and feels like, at this point, they're going to try to get some $$$ out of if they can't get the whole $40. If I have a choice, I would never want to park at any of their lots again, hence not visiting any businesses that are using these lots. I don't know about you, but unless proven otherwise, Diamond Parking sound like a bunch of sleazeballs to me. If you're a landlord or a tenant, watch out for any spaces you are about to lease that might have a Diamond Parking lot. I wouldn't want to use them. I parked there to attend Little Village on Maunakea street. The instruction indicated it was the parking lot on the right side which happened to be Diamond Parking. The parking there is a joke and if you guys are going to have an attendent taking photos and issuing parking notices. They should be there in a uniform with a "name tag" indicating there is a representative of Diamond parking present. I have decided to post this on YELP to spare any other "potential customers" of parking at this establishment/locations. Forty five dollars is a rather steep price for first time offense but if that is how they conduct business. They seriously have a lot of operational and administrative issues. I give them a grade of F-Minus for every thing from calling them the next day and being on hold for more then 10 minutes is a serious red flag to resolve a payment notice along with the lack of a staff person being presently noticeable on that day. I hope this will discourage everyone from parking there. I used the parking lot at the Blaisdell for the GAR event and got a wonderful surprise on my windshield upon my return after 1-hour of parking!!!! As anyone knows parking stalls are quite tight. Seems they do this just so that they can squeeze in additional parking stalls in each row. I drive a truck and most times it just fits the stall or sometimes barely. Selecting a stall to fit and open the doors is sometimes challenging in these parking structures. There were 2-vans in the stalls to the left and a small pickup truck to the right with an open stall in between. The pickup truck was a narrow vehicle and parked closer to to the opposite line so the stall between that truck and van looked like a decent size to fit the truck.. which it did. Here's the scenario.... I had to get closer to the right side (which is the pickup truck's side) to park. Since I "crossed" over the right side of the line and into the next parking where the pickup was, Diamond Parking 'tagged' me as "Improperly Parked, Parking in 2-stalls" and issued me a $40 parking notice fee!!! Whaaaaat? Such a joke!!! Private Company seeking more money so they tag your car for a $40 ticket on anything they can get. Well, if you open your eyeballs, you can make a good observation and see that large vehicles barely fit into those "manini" stalls. Sheeeeezzzzeeeee! They gave me a citation even after I paid using their app, they didn't even bother to check that I paid. I have to call them to get it reversed and it took 20 minutes on the phone on hold to talk to anybody, they totally suck. I pay regular amount to park in lot in Waikiki, and buses decide to print out their own Reserved 24/7 sign and take up 3 spots each for no reason.
