The entrance is on Pohukaina Street across Restaurant Row/Waterfront Plaza parking. It's easy to turn into the parking coming from the South Street side than Punchbowl St and having to make the left turn into the parking lot. As you enter in, you would have to make a sharp right turn and go up the parking levels. The upper levels are for State employees of near by State offices. Stalls are not as wide. Now there's a parking pay station at the ground level. Be sure you get into parking lot before they close the door by 5pm. The parking lot is open to the public from 7am-5pm. There are posted instructions for General Public, Jurors and for Placard user. They changed it where they may not have a parking attendant. They just started this new pay system so it said bills and credit cards are accepted. It's a $2 per hour for the first 2 hours. $4 per hour for addition hours. Note parking on the street maybe a quarter for 5 or 10 minutes.

Am I the only person looking for this parking information? I'm surprised that there hasn't been a…read moreYelp review for this parking structure as this is one of two main structures for the Hawaii State Judiciary Circuit Court Courthouse. I had to get my information from Google, so I thought I would add this here. I received a summons for jury duty and one of my first questions was "where do I park?". Apparently there are two parking structures if you are going downtown for court-related matter (or otherwise). I was assigned to Circuit Court - Ka'ahumanu Hale (777 Punchbowl Street). If your summons says you are assigned to District Court - Kauikeaouli Hale, then you'd be parking at the municipal parking lots/street meters around downtown/Chinatown then getting a refund from the state before you leave the courthouse. The court also allows you to park on street metered parking, but instructions say do not feed the meters, and if you receive a citation for an expired meter violation, turn in your citation to the Jury Pool Office or mail it in the envelope provided by the court. To me this is humbug as I don't want to walk back to the Jury Pool Office when I am trying to leave or remember to have to mail it in. It's better to park in the structure, just come early for parking. Hours are from Mon-Fri, 700 AM - 500 PM. The South Street Parking Garage is on the left side of Pohukaina if you are coming down Punchbowl Street, and you have to cross over two solid-double yellow lines to get into the structure, don't do like I did and make a right into the Waterfront Parking Garage by mistake; luckily I was able to get out before I got charged. I got there exactly at 0653 and the gate opened up. As suggested by a Google reviewer, I backed into a stall so I could get out easier, and I wasn't holding anyone up as I got there early enough. I believe the first 4 floors are for public parking and the upper floors are reserved parking; it's not a very big structure so I can imagine running out of stalls early on. There's elevator and stair access to the courthouse. Once you get downstairs, stand in line to enter the courthouse, remove your belt buckle and put everything in a plastic bin, like the ones at TSA/airport. You go through a metal detector and then into the courthouse, then get ushered into the bottom floor office where you watch a video on being a potential juror and the day goes on from there. The jury pool office stamps your parking ticket for free validated parking, otherwise the rates are $2.00 for the first and second hour, and $2.00 for each additional 1/2 hour, but you may want to call to check to make sure this is correct. I also saw a Google review saying that it's CASH ONLY. Good luck! RETURN FACTOR: I got called two other times for jury duty selection but forgot where to park since it was like 20 and 17 years ago, but now I will come back to this page if I ever forget or get called back to duty.

Parking in Chinatown…read more...... It's always an adventure when going into Chinatown, especially when one needs to find a place to park your vehicle. Recently, I found this public municipal parking lot to be pretty safe, as well as the parking spaces to be more spacious then the other parking spots in Chinatown. Located on Smith/Beretania Street, you must enter the parking structure off of Beretania Street, as the parking entrance is just before a little playground park. As you enter the parking structure, it is an underground parking lot. Upon exiting the parking structure, you will pop out on Pauahi Street. Like I said before, the parking spaces here are pretty spacious, which is great if you drive a large vehicle. The parking structure is relatively clean (compared to like the other parking structures near by), as I did not see, or smell any human bodily fluids which is so common in Chinatown. Aside from the one parking attendant, I did not see any security within the facility, so it's park at your own risk. I did not feel any danger parking here during the daytime, but I would be more careful to park here at night due to some sketchy folks hanging out on the sidewalk just infront of the little park on Smith Street. Parking rates are pretty reasonable for Chinatown, but it's cash only, so make sure you have cash on hand before entering the facility.

This parking is by far the most affordable place to park in Chinatown in my opinion…read more Not totally the most secure but still feels more secure than some of the open lots at street level. Sometimes their stairwell has homeless people or people doing drugs and it always smells like a bathroom...so there is that downside. But if you take the elevator that lets you out on Pauahi St. you can avoid all that smelliness. Just gotta be sure not to miss the turn down it's driveway when you're driving down S. Beretania as it is easy to miss.

I've been parking here for over a decade, as well as two other municipal parking garages in the area. Very easy to get here. Located on the right side of Bishop Street, both entrance and exit between 7-11 and Starbucks/Territorial Savings Bank, and another exit via South King St. It's definitely one of the most expensive rates in the CBD. But with gym validation, parking is only $1 Mon-Fri starting at 4:30pm, and Sat & Sun 6am-10pm for up to 3 hours. Every Federal Holiday, the rate is treated as a weekend. It's easily accessible via separate elevators into the Executive Centre Hotel with a set of escalators from street side down to the hotel lobby. Few negatives. No EV charging stations, many "Reserve" stalls on every level, so you may find yourself driving up to levels 6 & 7, cash only. Few positives, very clean facilities and elevators, wide parking spaces, security on site, and the nearest garage to 24 Hour Fitness. If you are parking here at night make sure you are aware of your surroundings, watch your back, females especially walk with a friend. Also Auntie working the exit booth is the best! So positive, spiritual, and full of Aloha! Make sure you treat her nicely, because she will remember you for life!

It's right across the street from the old Walmart. There's no attendant on duty so you take a ticket and upon exiting, scan your ticket & pay by card. The parking is still cheap even with the recent price increase. I paid $4 for under 2 1/2 hrs. The parking spaces are tight. Some are reserved for the City & County and the majority seems to be marked for compact cars. I do not drive a big car & usually do not have an issue parking in compact spaces but these spaces are ridiculous. With a little maneuvering, you can get your parked whether you back in or pull in. The problem lies in once you're parked, opening your car door & squeezing your way out without try to touch the other car with your door. The parking lot is lit but not bright so there are a lot of dark corners. There are 2 elevators, one for residents & the other one goes upstairs to the street & shops. You'll see the verbiage on the wall next to it. This is also the same building where the satellite city hall downtown office is located. Overall, the parking stalls are tight with a dimly lit area but it is convenient parking to Chinatown, the Hawaii Theater, eateries, & parking is cheap.

The walkway to the street was clean. The first floor is mostly compact parking, but I think there are bigger stalls on the lower levels. I would use this place again, especially when I go the Hawaii Theatre.

The local folks know exactly what can be done (their services have been scaled back because of budget cuts), and if you need an appointment or a walk in is okay. If an appointment, might be ~6 weeks out because of backlog, be prepared. 2. 4 separate people will ask you why you're visiting, be super clear in what you need + if you have an appointment or were told you didn't have to make one. 3. Listen carefully for the numbers being called. Their PA system is super mid, and depending on who is calling the number from what window, it might not be clear. Lol everyone in the waiting room banded together to try discern what's being said. "You got that ticket number?" "Think it was this, who caught the window number?" 4. The employees are short staffed, but very empathetic + helpful. You just have to work together with them, have your id + documents ready for when it's your turn and they ask for stuff. Thanks to the guy that helped me (think AF vet?), got what I needed to file taxes for my mom who recently passed.
