It was awhile since I got my nails done, so I figured it was a good time to give this spot a chance. My significant other and I walked inside. We were immediately helped. I sat down and looked at their menu before I made a choice. I ended up going with the Basic Manicure for $20 and from the Spa Pedicure section, I chose the Basic Pedicure for $30. The menu stated the Basic Manicure Includes cleaning up cuticle cutting nails buffing shaping polishing and lotion massage. The menu stated the Basic Pedicure Includes remove of cuticles and calluses and sugar scrub cutting nails and with lotion massage. I was guided to take a seat for the Basic Pedicure first. The water felt nice. This service seemed to be lengthy, which didn't bother me, as I wanted them to do a good job. I wish my nails were cut a little better, but they weren't horrible. I got a clear coat and it came out nice. The massage on my chair was good. After that, I was guided to sit down for the Basic Manicure. My nails were cut better with this service. The attention to detail was definitely present. I was pleased. The service was good. The employee who did my services was friendly and focused. Overall, this was a good spot to stop at. DONT DO IT. Been on and off trying to give them a chance the past year, but they continue to always rip off my acrylic nails that leave my natural nails so thin and damaged. I have been going to this shop since before the new owners took over. I was very close with the old owners as they had been doing my moms and my nails since I was 19. The new owners (Randy & Liem) are fantastic! They are always accommodating and polite. I usually have Randy do my nails because I can be picky, and he does an amazing job every time! They keep the shop clean, and all the workers are very friendly. If I ever have any issues with my nails, they are happy to fix it no problem. I am very disappointed. I had a 10:30 appointment and they didn't get to me until 11 (they weren't really that busy either) and I wanted different colors on my nails with a chrome powder over it and he said he could only do one color. this shop Diamond Nails was taken over by new owners, Randy and Leean. They formally owned Nail Love on 78th and Broadway. I have been going to this couples shop for approximately 33 years and I've not had a bad experience if something is wrong they correct it if you let them know if a new nail cracks falls off or chips in a day or two I go back and they fix it with no problem. I think that the reviews that are being left or for the previous owners, Randy and Leean are very professional and courteous, and their shop is not loud at all, I have nothing but good experiences with them. read more

This place provides horrible service. I've been there a few times and each time they hound me about getting a no chip pedicure. They cut my cuticle on my toe because they are handle your feet roughly. And then they charged me $50 for a no chip pedicure and the paint chipped off after a week. I definitely will not be returning and I won't be recommending their services to anyone. And they also request that you pay in cash and charge extra to use a credit card. read more

I paid over $70 for a 15 minute pedi that wasn't even relaxing and then I should have left, but decided to see how the nails went. 15 more minutes and my gels nails were done. He hurt me multiple times and when I told him, he blew me off like I should just deal with it cause my cuticles were bad. I just came back from this nail salon and I'm completely appalled by how horrendous their customer service is. Completely rushed through mani/pedi in less than 20 minutes while being rude about it. Then, extremely overcharged for the sloppy unprofessional work that was done. $70 for making my nails look horrible. So, I asked the owner if she could work with me and possibly help me out, and she loudly In front of a couple other customers yelled "just leave! Get out of here!" This was my third time coming to this nail salon. Both previous experiences were not the best but were enough to make me come back. This time around I got sat with someone new. I told him I wanted the same design on my nails just redone with the fill in. It was a French tip with curved edges. He started with the dremel just carelessly moving it around the top of my nails as he had his head turned to either watch the football game or chime in to the discussion his coworkers were having behind him. I asked for them to be shortened. Two of them were shortened below the skin line and he did that in the process of not paying attention while he was turned around. He starts the white paint for the French tip and asks if it looks okay. It was thick on one side and wavy on the other. I asked him to redo that nail before he moved onto attempt the others. He did and was just having a hard time. I pulled up a picture on my phone for reference and placed it next to him. He redid that nail and it looked perfect. He moved onto the next and asked if it was okay. It looked nothing like the first nail. Thick paint and also not symmetrical . He kept going in with a brush to take it off and try again. While repeatedly getting distracted by the tv, and coworkers. I asked if taking the polish off those two nails and just putting a solid coat of a color on the entire nail would be easier for him. He didn't understand so a coworker translated. He told his coworker that yes one solid color over the entire nail would be easier for him opposed to the French tip I came in for. So they hand me a silver book. With very minimal color selection. I pick a color. Paints my nails. Asks if they look okay. I asked for another coat at there were several patches that were see thru. Finally after 1.5 hours he was done. He charged me $40 instead of $55 which was great but the truth is... I hate my nails and the experience. Between being distracted, hitting my skin with the dremel, not being able to communicate and not being able to do a simple French tip I was tense for majority of the time. It was the man in the last row with the chair closest to the center walk way. He had a 2021 mask on. I cannot chance getting this experience again and will have to be looking out for a new nail salon. read more

If you come here try not to have one of the white girls do your nails. They're rude and both times they did my nails they turned out sloppy. One time the girl had something sharp stuck under my acrylic nail and told me "that's just how acrylics are" and didn't want to redo it. The plus side is they're clean but the white girls they've recently hired are the worst. read more

Really this place doesn't even deserve one star. Horrible service. My manicure chipped the next day. They ground down my toenails for some unknown reason. I later had to have my regular nail tech fix them for 3hrs. She said they never should have done that. But the worst part was that I treated my mother to a Mani/pedi before her surgery and she developed an ingrown toenail and infection requiring antibiotics and two trips to the podiatrist because the nail tech at Diamond Nails jammed a piece of toenail into her nail bed. She jumped and said ouch in the chair, but he just patted her leg and said "you ok". She left there with a red, swollen toe and in pain. Will never go back and will spread the word about such poor, neglectful service. read more

There are far too many terrible things i can say about this establishment. The women are rude, sit around and gossip and cuss (which isnt a problem for me, but might be when you bring in elderly or very young children) as they do your nails. They clearly talk about you in their native language. The services are far too overpriced for the subpar services rendered. They rush and don't care to spare any effort in anything they do. I have a friend who voiced to them how unhappy she was with their services and they told her to "get the hell out and don't come back." How rude!! Their overpriced pedicures are terrible! I agree that this place doesn't even deserve one star. My sister in law was in yesterday with her 6 year old and my 6 year old. My daughter wanted her nails painted with 2 colors every other nail and the guy wouldn't do it (the lady who did my niece's nails had no problem doing it). The owner was rude and confrontational after I requested "John" to do my no chip manicure. John who happens to be very good, is not working at Diamond Nails except on a limited schedule. "Anna" (?)the owner was not happy with me for asking about John's schedule and mentioning that I had a poor no chip manicure previously by a girl named "Angelique", so she was not an option. If John is working elsewhere I would like to know since I would gladly go to him in another location. With the competitive business and large number of nail salons available in the Crown Point area, I frankly was surprised at the owner's behavior.
