I recently had one of the greatest experiences in Napa with Gustavo at Monticello Vineyard. The…read morewine was great but Gustavo was what pushed this experience over the top. As a born and raised local to Napa, Gustavo offered a different perspective about wine that you wouldn't get elsewhere. On top of that he was knowledgeable with his flavor profiles and really help led my girlfriend and I through a wonderful tasting experience. I highly recommend booking a wine tasting here just for Gustavo alone. We did the classic flights, which if you aren't a heavy reds drinker like me, is the perfect choice for the experience. The wine tasted great and we had a great time. As the last two groups of the day and probably the only few groups after the holidays, we had the opportunity to drink straight out of the barrel. This was something I've never done and Gustavo gave us the honor to experience and taste the difference between wines at a different stage of their fermentation process. This was super educational and such a great experience. As for Monticello Vineyard itself, it's a fairly small property compared to the other wineries but because it's so small the experience is more intimate. The property can be walked in five minutes and unfortunately the vineyards iconic building is going through some renovations. We will definitely be coming back here in the summer to enjoy the beautiful views that Monticello offers. Please do yourself a favor and either try a walk-in here at Monticello or do a reservation with Gustavo. You won't regret it. Oh and say hello to marshmallow and char for me.

From the moment we arrived, the energy felt warm and welcoming--more like being invited onto someone's beautiful property than attending a standard tasting. The setting is relaxed and charming, with stunning vineyard views that make you want to linger. But what really made the experience exceptional were the people. Julie was an absolute delight. She struck that perfect balance of knowledgeable and approachable--deeply informed about the wines and the vineyard's sustainable practices, yet never pretentious. She made the tasting feel personal and conversational, taking time to share the stories behind each bottle while also making space for our questions and reactions. Her warmth and thoughtfulness genuinely elevated the entire visit. Thomas was equally wonderful--attentive, helpful, and effortlessly making sure everything ran smoothly. Whether it was refreshing water, explaining details about the food pairings, or helping coordinate timing, he anticipated needs without ever hovering. The hospitality here feels intentional and heartfelt. And of course, the wines themselves were fantastic--vibrant, expressive, and clearly crafted with care. The food pairings were thoughtful and delicious, complementing the wines beautifully and making the tasting feel cohesive from start to finish. Out of several stops that day in Napa, Tres Sabores was my favorite. It felt authentic, relaxed, and genuinely special. I would return in a heartbeat--and next time, I'll be bringing more friends.

The view here is stunning, too. But I highly recommend getting a private driver since the drive up the hill is quite a hike!

Our host, Krista, was so knowledgeable, open to repeat/answer any questions, and is so good at holding conversations! I felt so enlightened and energized because of her absolute good vibes. Krista ended up showing us a variety of different wines, but the most notable wine was the very beginning. My friends and I were limited in our wine knowledge and he admitted that he felt like all wine tastes the same. However, once we took our very first sip, the fruity, buttery notes completely changed our minds. She sets the image about drinking this near a pool and I immediately would get transported to her explanations. It was giving "Remy" from "Ratatouille" moment when you close your eyes and see/feel all the different imagery. Throughout the tour, we are educated on the fact that they have two different addresses because they are at the border of both Sonoma County and Napa! Literally best of both worlds! Afterwards, we tried multiple different wines in their caves and educated on the different notes, how to hold our wine glasses, and the importance of everything. Before this experience, I was completely unaware of what to look for, but now I feel like I have a better understanding of everything. Certain notes I didn't even expect like the peppery taste in one of the wines. It was so cool knowing that these type of caves and winery exists and I feel like our host, Krista, made our experience even BETTER. Thank you Krista for showing us around. This was completely unforgettable and I WILL BE coming again!

His passion and expertise really came through throughout our entire experience. He knew exactly how to keep our group entertained while still giving us such an informative and special experience. Grgich Hills was our first winery of the day, and Ryan set the tone for an amazing day in Napa. Most importantly, he helped give my friend Stephanie an experience she'll never forget during her bachelorette weekend, and I'm so grateful for that. If you're visiting Grgich Hills Estate, I cannot recommend Ryan enough. He was truly one of the highlights of our Napa weekend. Thank you, Ryan, for taking such wonderful care of us!

We're not usually white wine drinkers, but the Grgich Chardonnays were exceptional - unlike any Chardonnay we've tried before. The staff we spoke with beforehand were incredibly kind and accommodating, and the beautiful outdoor area made the experience even more enjoyable. We especially appreciated learning about Grgich's Croatian roots and how the founder's heritage continues to shape the winery and its wines. It gives Grgich a distinctive character in Napa Valley. An unforgettable visit to Palmaz Vineyards, and a huge thank you to Blake for delivering an…read moreexperience that was as impressive as it was immersive. This is not your typical Napa tasting. It leans technical in the best possible way, and I was all in. There is so much to geek out on here, from the engineering to the data-driven winemaking approach. The winery itself is built into Mount George and descends roughly 20 stories into the mountain, which is just wild when you see it firsthand. It feels part Bond villain lair, part innovation lab, and entirely unforgettable. Blake guided the experience flawlessly. Deep knowledge, great energy, and the ability to translate complex concepts into something engaging without ever losing the sophistication. You can tell he knows his craft and genuinely enjoys sharing it. The on-premise chef was exceptional. The bites were not an afterthought. They were thoughtfully executed and elevated the wines even further. This was a true pairing experience, not just a tasting. I also loved the story behind the owners and what they have built here. It adds another layer of appreciation to an already standout visit. On a lighter note, I have it on good authority (not from Blake!) there may be karaoke here from time to time. If that is true, I am absolutely ready for my invite. "Don't Cry for Me Argentina" might be ambitious, but I will gladly step up for a strong "Bésame Mucho." One of the goals of this trip was to identify a standout winery with Latino roots to recommend to a VC investing group. This is unequivocally the spot. Between the innovation, the setting, the hospitality, and the quality across the board, this is a must-visit. A+ experience. Blake absolutely delivered.

We were gifted a bottle of their wine and fell in love with it ever since. So when we were invited to go to Napa for an event, we decided we'd try to visit to do a tasting. Well, they get booked pretty far in advance, especially during summer. Kudos to Rachel for trying so hard to get us in for a visit. The hubby reached out to the winery 6-7 weeks before we visited, and the calendar was already booked, and I can see why. Their wine is absolutely THE BEST! We asked Rachel to put us on the waiting list, and she followed up with us every few weeks to let us know the status. Unfortunately, no one had cancelled yet, and our trip was quickly approaching. We were resigned to the fact that we'll have to come back another time. Two days before our visit, I decided to reach out and Rachel said she was just about to email us too; well, there was a cancelation on our desired date and time. Of course, this news was AMAZING to our ears. Upon arrival (steep hills so I would suggest trying to make this your first stop if you can), we entered through a gate, easily parked, and walked in. The property is stunning and the views are something else. Even though we took advantage of this for photo ops, the one thing I appreciated was that it was not busy with influencers. As luck would have it, Rachel was also our host, which she said she does not get to do often, as she is their marketing manager. The knowledge she has about wine, the winery, the family....it was just a lovely visit. I liked that it's a smaller winery, so they only host so many groups in the day. We were there 2-4pm and there were two other groups of 8-10. And I've been to wineries where your host will come by, do the pour and explain the wine to you, and say another 2-3 groups. Not here. Your host is dedicated to YOU for the duration of your tasting. I have nothing but good things to say about their wine, their winery and the staff. We loved it so much we became members! Do yourself a favor and do a winetasting here. It's worth every penny and be careful, bc you will walk off with a few bottles and might even become members like we did. Thank you Rachel and the Amizetta family! FYI - they are constructing a new indoor and outdoor area. Great things are coming to this place and I'm excited for our next visit.
