I purchased a new 50cc moped for my daughter from Diamond Motor Sports and handled most of the transaction remotely before making the drive down. Before committing, I asked for a written out-the-door breakdown from the advertised price. They provided a clear breakdown of fees, and we negotiated the final OTD number upfront. When I arrived, the price matched exactly what we agreed to -- no last-minute add-ons or surprises. As with any vehicle purchase, doing your homework and clarifying the full out-the-door price upfront makes all the difference to avoid issues. Charlie and the team were professional and thorough. They took the time to explain the moped's operation to my wife and me and even suggested having our daughter try helmets on locally to ensure proper fit rather than just selling us one on the spot. Despite selling much higher-end motorcycles and ATVs, they gave us full attention on a smaller purchase. On a Friday near closing, Charlie's team helped us assemble a hitch carrier on-the-fly when our ramp setup didn't work. They also followed up a few days later to make sure everything went smoothly. It seems odd to me that Diamond Motor Sports shows a 2021 Honda PCX 150cc Scooter with a MSRP that is the "Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price" That is set by Honda the Manufacture! of $3,999 and Hondas Web Page shows its MSRP as $3,799 So Diamond is saying the MSRP is $200 more than Honda says it is. I would call that Price Gouging! Diamond had 2 each used PCX 150 Scooters one a 2018 and another a 2019 selling for the same price $3,990 one scooter has 4,000 miles or so and the other had some 8,000 miles on it, one had been dropped and the right side was scratched up and damaged the other had to have the engine rebuilt. So Diamond wanted $191 more for these used scooters than the Honda MSRP of a new 2021 PCX 150 Scooter of $3,799. I would call that Price Gouging! If you look at Diamond Motor Sports Web Page they have a: 1. 2022 Honda Shadow Phantom with their MSRP of $8,099 Honda's MSRP is $7,899 a difference of $200 higher. 2. 2022 Honda CBR 1000RR with their MSRP of $16,999 Honda's MSRP is $16,499 a difference of $500 higher. 3.2021 Honda CBR 600 RR with their MSRP of $12,099 Honda's MSRP is $11,999 a difference of $100 higher. 4. 2022 Honda Rebel 300 ABS with their MSRP of $5,199 Honda's MSRP is $4,999 a difference of $200 higher. 5. 2022 Honda Rebel 300 Base with their MSRP of $4,899 Honda's MSRP is $4,699 a difference of $200 higher. 6. 2022 Honda Africa Twin Base with their MSRP of $14,699 Honda's MSRP is $14,499 a difference of $200 higher. As you can see Diamond Motor Sports is consistently changing the MSRP higher than Honda the manufacture sets it. When I asked salesmen about this he said they have not been able to get their Web Page developer to change the MSRP numbers on the scooters I was looking at, but he gave me the same MSRP that was on their Web Page when I asked for it. So it seems to me that Diamond Motor Sports is consistently Price Gouging and it's not just an isolated incident! I was able to find a 2017 Honda Rebel 300 cc with 2,987 mile on it that had been dropped and in need of just a bit of work, 2 side covers and a front fender witch they are paying for, from JT Motorsports for $3,699 the Honda MSRP for a 2022 is $6,399 That is $2,700 less and more in line of what one would expect with a used bike compared to a new bike, unlike Diamond Motor Sports Inc. P.S. Diamond did not want to haggle at all till I left and came back the next day with all my duck in a row and they were still way off the mark! read more

So reached out to DMS to try and see if they would buy my 2016 Harley Softail Deluxe, need to get rid of the bike, I know I owe 16,200 on the bike researched what the sales price should be, told DMS that I wanted to get 13,000 for the bike. Get a call back from them and according to them NADA list the bike for retail at 10,500 to 11,000. Consistent with other reviews, I found them to be far overpriced (+15%) vs. other dealers for the same bike. When I mentioned the price I was quoted by Diamond to another dealer they laughed and they were too polite to say anything else (to their credit). They are gouging the market and when supply/demand rebalances, they will be the last place consumers will call. Makes you wonder how they have been around since the 1960s with this sort of approach to the market. Such a pity. read more

Ive bought every motorcycle I have owned from this shop. Every time I go its a pleasant experience with a knowledgeable sales staff. The handful of times Ive used their service department they have been phenomenal. They take care of my bikes as good as I do and are attentive to any concerns with clunks and grinds and other odd sounds. Theyve earned my business for years and have continued to do so. read more

I bought a suzuki boulevard c90t from this place about two weeks ago and since I bought it i have had nothing but problems with the motorcycle they said they did an inspection and the bike was good which is not true at all the bike came with a bad resistor, bad battery and bad stator i called the and explained the situation and they told me (we are not liable for electrical parts) so now i am in the whole for 1500 dollars between parts and labor that i will have to pay someone else to fix it. If I could give zero stars, I would. Pre sale service was excellent. Post sale was horrific. I purchased my new R1 out of state. After delivery, my temporary tag expired. I notified Bill, my salesman. The tag, sent regular mail didn't arrive. I asked that another be mailed signature required, express, priority any manner with a tracking number. The sales manager Jack told me the cost of mailing any other way than regular mail was too expensive. To which I replied it's a business expense that is tax deductible, so basically free for all customers. Supposedly another was mailed but no one knew when. I was asked to come into the dealership to retrieve it. They knew I was out of state. Weeks went by that I couldn't ride my $20k motorcycle. The permanent tag finally arrived. Got my rear tire changed and it took over 8 hours when they said it would take 1 hour at the most. Didn't get a call so i called back 3 hours later and they said they were finishing up. I go back excited to pick it up and my bike is still sitting outside with the same tire! To say the least i was very disappointed. The FedEx truck dropped off a new set of tires while I was at work. I called DMS as soon as I got home and asked about getting them installed. The service department gave me good advice on my options. A half an hour after hanging up the phone I was at the dealership and within an hour they had the tires on my bike. My husband is purchasing a bike from Diamond. I don't do business with them anymore. I inquired about a bike and they never even called me to tell me the bike was ready to be sold. On inital inquiry they just said it hadn't been serviced. Took my number (for nothing). I give diamond motor sports 2 stars and that is for the parts department only. The sales department has extremely poor customer service skills. They will sell a bike right from up under you, they do not return calls, and they do not entertain your interest in purchasing anything from them. The sales associates show no initiative at ALL. They act as if they are doing you a favor to sell you a bike. Maybe they need a wake up call. You need the customers! read more

I have visited Diamond Motor Sports numerous times to look at bikes. The bikes are over priced for both new and used inventory. Part of the reason why their bikes sit around for months. These guys will quote you a high price, pretend to knock a hundred or so off markup and act like their doing you a favor while actually still selling you the bike at their markup. They also play this game where if you call them and quote them a price you're willing to purchase a bike for they'll agree to the price you offer them over the phone and then when you come into the store in person to actually buy the bike for the price they previously agreed upon they flip the price on you back to their markup and tell you a lie about why they can't offer the bike to you for the price they stated they would 24 hours ago. It's just a lure to get you in the store with cash in hand hoping you'll be too eager to walk right back out that door with cash in hand. They pulled that BS on me twice and it has permanently cost them my business as a result. Twice I walked in there ready to purchase a bike after negotiating the price and both times they pulled the same stunt. It was a great experience having them waste time out my schedule to come to their store and hear them personally lie to my face. They costs themselves the sale because of their own nonsense. I don't get how "dense" a sales staff can be. OTD pricing means OTD pricing! At this point from my dealings with them and the many hours of my time they have wasted driving down to their store I just find them to be untrustworthy and therefore no longer worthy of gaining my business or respect at all. Taking advantage of customers that put their trust and faith in your word is never an okay thing to do. I will also not go into detail about how one of the salesmen (the same one Nicholas G talks about in his review) took it upon himself to go loan shopping on my credit before we ever agreed to a price on the bike or better yet I should state "he agreed" to offer me the bike at the price I granted them to sell me it for but flipped the price back to his markup behind my back and went loan shopping. Then when I confronted him he pretended to forget about a conversation we had 3 days prior to me coming in to purchase the bike let alone me stating the price several times while in there in person to purchase the bike. That's one guy that will lie through his teeth. I also find that to be an insult to my intelligence that this "genius" thought he could get away with doing that unnoticed. I thank my bank for alerting me to his actions. With my previous experiences with Diamond Motor Sports I can relate to a lot of the other customer reviews here (the negative ones) because I've experienced the same. A lack of genuine sales service and too much BS from them. Business always seems slow whenever I stop by there and it's not a surprise. It's always the same bikes, always the same bored staff, and it's like these folks can't figure out that good business grants you customers. You don't have to underhand people to sell them a bike. Just offer them what they want for a non BS price. They'll sell a bike right out from under you because they're desperate to get a sale in. If someone else is willing to pay their ridiculous price or be ripped off on a trade in and you wont they'll sell it to the guy who doesn't know better and passively inform you they no longer have the bike you were in the process of purchasing. Actually they sold the bike I was looking at and never bothered to contact me that it was sold or what they could get instead even though I asked them to inform me about it. I could really go on for days giving a thorough review of this place but their not worth it. The bottom line is to just shop elsewhere, where the sales people actually care and value your business. I'm new to motorcycles and selling someone their first bike should not be difficult.You need a bike + gear it's a very easy sale but in their minds all they see is someone new to take advantage of. Sell them a bike at premium profit for the store, get them to buy your marked up gear, and offer them %off to think they're getting a deal when they aren't really and then send them on their way hoping they don't realized they've just paid a lot more than they should. Rather than cut the bs hassle and offer you a bike for a great price, sell you equipment for a good price, and earn your repeat business as it's only your first bike and you more than likely will be coming back to upgrade. Be it as it may these folks have pretty much ruined my bike purchasing experience. Maybe they should close shop and the manager and staff can ride all the bikes in their inventory because they obviously aren't interested in selling them the way they currently do business. I don't think there are enough fools in Delaware to buy out their inventory. Which is why they only sell a few bikes to the unsuspecting. Shop here at your own risk! read more
