Despite multiple visits to both a chiropractor and an acupuncturist, nothing seemed to alleviate the pain or make it even slightly more bearable. That's exactly what happened on my visit. But the team here is very kind and accommodating. The biggest draw is the price point. The team generally offers specials and you get a massage at a fraction of the price -- about $50 or so for an hour. It is very difficult to find such an affordable spot, and one that keeps decent hours. It is very accessible. But the space is lacking in ambiance (though it is tidy) and the massage was just OK. Nothing terribly wrong, but I did not experience the depth of relaxation to which I was accustomed. Also, I left feeling appreciative for the time, but the benefit of the massage (which will usually last me 2-3 days ) was not apparent, so I ended up going to my regular masseuse later in the week. Given these reasons, Southbay Massage simply can't compete, and pales pales in great comparison, with my favorite location: Cozy Thai.
