This lounge was stuffy at the time of my visit. There was barely any AC. It was also pretty busy. There is no attendant to direct you to free seats. It's first come, first serve - self-served. There is hot food and snacks. There are toilets to the right. In the day time, the sun is shining so brightly through the huge windows. It's annoying and hot to sit by the window. The drinks are in the fridge and bottled. You need their bottle opener for every drink. I enjoyed the waffle snacks. Accessible with Priority Pass, which also allows two guests for free. By the time I left, the front counter was telling people that the lounge was full. They could enter but no seats. read more

This lounge is pretty standard - it's nothing fancy but it will do for a short layover when you want some coffee, tea, something to drink, or a small snack. The lounge itself is a bit rundown and could use some renovating (half looks more modern/newer, and the other half looks older), but there are decent amount of seats and tables. The food selection is not that great - I was happy that I picked up some food before heading into the lounge. Around lunch, they had some salad, tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, potato salad that looked like a bunch of mayo, pesto pasta salad, and coleslaw. They had a soup that looked like an overly creamy clam chowder. They had some cheese and some deli meat. They had a few snacks (not prepackaged) like pretzel snack mix and breadsticks and some speculoos cookies. They had croissants and Belgian waffles. The waffles were just so-so. I didn't eat a ton of the food other than a few bites of pasta salad and potato salad, both which were bland and gross. The bathrooms are a bit small and could use some renovation but at least they have bathrooms in the lounge. They also have WiFi. All in all, decent for a drink and snack but don't expect anything fancy, nor much good food. read more

Oh Yah Arrived here after a 7 hour plane ride. The comfort level this lounge has in place for it's guests is amazing. Dim lighting in case you woke up from a nap and your eyes are still adjusting to light. Alot of seating space with personal cubbies if you need to finish up some work. There are two kegerators (served a belgium pilsner and amber) that my friend mistook for coffee, because it looked like a Keurig! He wasn't mad. Standard European coffee machine that makes everything, including your bed if you wanted to. Two refridgerators stocked with glass water, soda, and beers. Contintental style food. We went during breakfast so there were croissants, cheeses, breads, and jams. Overall, this is the best airport lounge I've been to. Highly recommend. read more

Brussels Airport Diamond Lounge is definitely the best airport lounge we visited during our most recent European trip. Self served Leffe on draft at 9 am.. I cannot think of a better breakfast option! And of course there are also bottles and bottles of "local" beers and lambic. Food choice is minimum but I can get my calories and nutrients from my beer liquid diet. And for non drinkers, there is a espresso machine that makes decent espresso and cappuccino. Or maybe have some juice or water instead? The only inconvenient is they don't have a washroom inside the lounge and you need need to go out of the lounge to use one of the "public" facilities. Beer drinking before any flights is good... hence the 4 star! read more

Holy crap, there are no bathrooms in this lounge...really? Okay, I normally would not write up an airport lounge, as most fit my minimal 4 requirements... 1. A bathroom 2. A coffee machine 3. A minimal selection of food 4. A sitting area with free internet When you pay for a business or first class ticket, the list above should be expected. When I entered the BA lounge in the Brussels airport, the desk staff were wonderful. The coffee was average and the food was okay. However, when they called my flight, I wanted to freshen up a bit and found the bathroom was not in the lounge. It was down the hall... wait.... it was waaaayyyy down the hall away from my gate and a standard, not so clean airport bathroom. Not good. Come on BA, get it together, some if us pay business class for a reason. read more

Brussels Airlines had messed up my original booking so my wife and I now had a 5 hour layover in the airport (as opposed to the well-planned 90 minutes originally). This wasn't quite enough to visit Brussels itself so we thought the next best thing would be to enjoy the lounge. For just over €26 each we had access to self-pouring Leffe Bruin and Leffe Blonde, four other bottled beers, many wines and spirits, fruit juices, an excellent coffee machine, lots of food options and comfy seats. For a short trip it's probably not worth the expense, but if you are staying at least three hours I would say you will get your money's worth! read more

I loved this lounge! First thing I did was take a hot shower! After a month of travel around Africa it was the hottest shower I had since leaving the states! So clutch. The food was typical euro style offerings but really good quality. I drank mimosa's as it was 9am and the bar was fully stocked and self serve. The staff were helpful and really relaxed helping create a great experience. I was so excited I was able to check-in as Yelp was not available in most of the countries I visited. Four stars for saving me the embarrassment of flying while being stinky! We all know airplanes are notoriously dirty. If you have ever flown from one of the African airports (where there is no air and you are sweating profusely), you will appreciate what a shower can do before you get on your next flight. This lounge has saved my sweaty self multiple times while flying back home from East and West African destinations. Leaving from ROB airport in Liberia and going back home is a feat in itself. Have you been in an airport where it is 90F at 8pm, 70% humidity, and no air circulation? Add a waiting area that is as big as the living room in my Liberian house, and you have dozens of sweaty bodies eager to get on the flight. By the time you board and take your seat you will realize there is no deodorant in this entire world that can help the situation. My latest destination (Nairobi) is not as bad as ROB, but it can still be hot in the airport. All this to say, you will appreciate a shower by the time you land in the Brussels airport and connect to your next flight to the US. I have never eaten or had anything to drink in the Diamond lounge. That is because I use it only for showering. I use the The Brussels Airlines/ Star Alliance lounge for the rest of my "lounging". The Brussels Airlines/ Star Alliance lounge does not have a shower, so they send you to the Diamond Lounge if you want to take a shower. I find myself at BRU early in the mornings, so it is relatively quiet and I always get a shower without having to wait long. A few times I landed after 9am and the wait times to take a shower were up to 2 hours. That is because the Diamond Lounge has only two showers. The shower room itself is spacious, with a nice rain shower attachment, and adequate toiletries. I wish they gave lotion and extra towels, but you cannot expect everything. It is clean and well-kept. The food and drink area seems well stocked. I have witnessed the same kind of food at the Star Alliance and Diamond Lounges - plain and chocolate croissants for breakfast, Leffe on tap, variety of juices, wines, beers, and a glorious coffee machine that makes a great espresso. The Diamond lounge itself is more spacious than the Star Alliance Business Lounge, and less crowded. Lounges are there for you to relax on a long layover, but if it's crowded it is a waste of space. Clearly not the best business lounge at Brussels Airport! One of just two lounges currently accessible at terminal A used for Schengen flights, meaning more or less "domestic European" flights, the Diamond lounge is shared by several airlines (I was traveling on KLM), all-in tour operators and affiliated credit cards. Checking in is a two-step process: first you show your boarding pass at a clerk who directs you to the lounge, then again when entering the lounge. The attendant, a middle aged man, clearly did not enjoy his job and several heavy sighs made that clear! The electronic boarding pass on my iPhone seemed to be a problem for him, so I also had to show my frequent flyer card. After several minutes, he said "OK" and went back to reading his Flemish tabloid, which I understood as the sign I was finally welcome in the lounge. While there was ample seating available, it does not appear too inviting nor comfortable with most seats lined up against the walls and the floor to ceiling windows overlooking the terminal. As the lounge is shared with some travel agencies, several kids were playing around, not ideal if you want to work. But the main problem is that there is no free wifi! How can a business lounge not offer wifi service in 2013?? Choice of newspapers and magazines was pretty limited. Food and drink options are decent and entirely self service: nice choice of Belgian beer and generic brand liquors as well as fountain sodas and hot drinks, no champagne available but that didn't surprise me. Several snacks, bread and cheese, apples and crackers completed the offer. There are no restrooms inside the lounge but facilities were available nearby and were clean. A last tip, as the lounge is at the entrance of a long concourse, make sure to foresee enough time to reach your gate as it might be quite a long walk... read more

The lounge has a few different seating styles to choose from. High tables/chairs, low regular sofa/table and along-the-wall seats that has power-plug behind. Simple cheese, salmon or ham/cheese sandwiches, fruit, cheese, pie (just middle of day for a few hours) and good selections of wine and one kind of soup (it was chicken soup on the day I visited) with multiple kinds of rolls available. A few different belgian beer on tap! Not the best lounge in Europe but it has decent food, beverage and space. PS: One toilet place for both male/female. read more

Of the few airport lounges I have visited this is one of the best. Plenty of seating and a help yourself food area. The food area has coffee, cappuccinos, and tea for hot drinks. There is a glass doored cooler that has cold milk, juice, cokes, and waters. The cooler also has a nice selection of cheeses and several differen beers to choose from. There is also liquor and mixers in the area. It is all just help yourself which I enjoyed. There are pastries and breads to be had. No free wifi or anything like that though and it is very quiet. Only reason I came in was because of my Priority Pass. I have used the Brussels Airlines one in the past and this is vastly inferior. I was a frequent flyer for years in the US and experienced the good, the bad and the ugly of North American airport lounges. I've lost my frequent flyer status now that I live in Belgium, but I can get access to the Diamond Lounge through my AMEX. Compared to the SAS and Brussels Airlines Lounges, this place is dirty and has a poor selection of beverages and snacks. It's cramped, loud and not particularly comfortable. Next time we'll just hang out in Starbucks. read more

Even though this is a "budget" lounge, it is in fact in my opinion better than the more premium business lounges. And one of the better around Europe. How does it achieve this? With a good selection of snacks and foods which are changed throughout the day, salads, breads, soups, cakes, cerals, teas, beer, wine, drinks.
