Brussels Airport Diamond Lounge is definitely the best airport lounge we visited during our most recent European trip. Self served Leffe on draft at 9 am.. I cannot think of a better breakfast option! And of course there are also bottles and bottles of "local" beers and lambic. Food choice is minimum but I can get my calories and nutrients from my beer liquid diet. And for non drinkers, there is a espresso machine that makes decent espresso and cappuccino. Or maybe have some juice or water instead? The only inconvenient is they don't have a washroom inside the lounge and you need need to go out of the lounge to use one of the "public" facilities. Beer drinking before any flights is good... hence the 4 star!

Holy crap, there are no bathrooms in this lounge...really? Okay, I normally would not write up an airport lounge, as most fit my minimal 4 requirements... 1. A bathroom 2. A coffee machine 3. A minimal selection of food 4. A sitting area with free internet When you pay for a business or first class ticket, the list above should be expected. When I entered the BA lounge in the Brussels airport, the desk staff were wonderful. The coffee was average and the food was okay. However, when they called my flight, I wanted to freshen up a bit and found the bathroom was not in the lounge. It was down the hall... wait.... it was waaaayyyy down the hall away from my gate and a standard, not so clean airport bathroom. Not good. Come on BA, get it together, some if us pay business class for a reason.

Lounge does seem to be large enough, but once you look for a seat you start to realize that it's not that big. Noise level was very good and the food and beverage offered of quality.

Brussels Airlines had messed up my original booking so my wife and I now had a 5 hour layover in the airport (as opposed to the well-planned 90 minutes originally). This wasn't quite enough to visit Brussels itself so we thought the next best thing would be to enjoy the lounge. For just over €26 each we had access to self-pouring Leffe Bruin and Leffe Blonde, four other bottled beers, many wines and spirits, fruit juices, an excellent coffee machine, lots of food options and comfy seats. For a short trip it's probably not worth the expense, but if you are staying at least three hours I would say you will get your money's worth!

Maintains the standard of an airport lounge. Two mini-kegerators, normal bar stock, and continental style food.

Favorite beer and peanut chicken dish.

Place is clean with a friendly staff. They had my favorite type of beer and all their food was on point!

The space is bright, spacious, and impeccably clean, with a modern design that feels calm and upscale--perfect before a flight. Breakfast offerings are surprisingly delicious and well-curated, with both hot and cold options that go well beyond typical lounge fare. Everything was fresh, well presented, and easy to navigate. The full bar is a standout, complemented by excellent coffee, fast free Wi-Fi, and a relaxed seating layout that works equally well for productivity or unwinding. Plenty of seating, charging points, and quiet corners make it feel uncrowded even during busy travel times. A truly comfortable and polished lounge experience that sets the bar high for Star Alliance lounges. I'd happily arrive early just to spend more time here.

First time around: I ordered an 8 oz (which is considered a medium, LOLZ) oat milk latte with one pump of vanilla and a little Quiche Lorraine (GF) on the side. The total came out to about $12/ €10. The gal who helped me was so wonderful! As soon as she heard me say, "hello", she switched gears and asked me, "English?". I was so impressed watching her interact with multiple different customers, seamlessly jumping from language to language. After I grabbed my food, I went and found a little table in the middle of the airport where I had an eat-pray-love moment with my food and coffee. Following my heavenly breakfast, I walked around for 2 hours and was drawn back for another coffee. That's how you know it's good coffee, folks. Unlike in Germany, it appeared that Brussels had not yet implemented the new customs system at arrivals so non EU citizens queued in one line. EU citizens zipped through with the electronic pass gates. However when it was my turn with the agent I only had to scan the fingers on my right hand, answered a question what do I do for a living and that was it. Less than a couple minutes surprisingl. Baggage claim was right after and then the exit. Very good signage that directed people to the bus, train, parking, etc. When departing Brussels, follow the signs to the appropriate terminal if not checking luggage. Electronic gates required a boarding pass scan to validate trip and gain entrain to the security screening area. At least multiple lines were open so it flowed well. Plastics baggies needed to hold your small liquid containers), water bottles emptied, belts removed but shoes stayed on. Immigration was next and much more efficient on departure. US citizens accessed the electronic gates with just a passport scan and photo. It's not 100% functional as I was told to keep trying gates until my passport was accepted (4th one was the charm). Passport still had to be inspected and stamped afterwards but that was quick. Overall 50-50 rating based on this experience. Hopefully arrivals will be much better after full implementation of the EES screening process.

Brussels was a bit hectic for non EU travelers in early December 2025…read more The new "EES" - Entry/ Exit system is being implemented throughout Europe and began rolling out in October. While all the searches implied that the traditional passport stamping has been phased out- for international flights, this is not yet the case. For me - I love the passport stamps, that's part of memory making of each destination. We were required to get in line for (2!) agents when entering and this was quite time consuming. (But I did indeed get my stamps). At this point they are requiring that you offer your right hand fingerprints- which is part of the plan and will eventually phase out the stamp. Returning to the airport for the return trip to the US was the same process. The rub was when after quite a long delay for the outbound flight to the states, the airline (United) announced 20 minutes before boarding that all passengers must have the entry "sticker" on the back of the passport. Literally no one had this sticker. Lots of frustration, lack of patience, and time spent on this. 2 gate agents approached each person with many questions and then once satisfied - put the sticker on your passport and allowed you to proceed to boarding. Hoping this all gets worked out by the new year. The Brussels Air lounge is accessible for Star Alliance Polaris passengers and was fine. Lots of passengers, a fair offering of breakfast (then on to lunch based on our 4 hour + delay). Help yourself to beer, on tap and bottled and sparkling wines.
