The mystery of it was so fun! We had a lovely scenic view of the neighboring truck stop. The waiting room was cleverly designed to challenge your bladder and not distract you with artwork or television noise...naturally promoting interaction between customers. The mystery was further enhanced by a lack of signage letting customers know what they could expect. It was so fun to see some customers find out their form of payment would not be accepted...oh, the surprise! But the fun didn't stop there, despite having a reservation for a specific vehicle type, I was presented with a completely different type of vehicle! And that's not all, I was benefitted the perk of not having to worry about how much gas I returned the vehicle with because it was already on empty. Sage advice was given before I left: drive straight to the gas station. I had to wait for an hour and a half (even though I had made a reservation, good luck with that!) and watched him talk down to every single renter the entire time I was waiting. His default mode is to be extremely rude and try to make you angry before you can even ask your first question...it was painful to watch and even more painful to experience. He should be NOWHERE near any sort of customer-facing job. I get it's tough being underpaid and dealing with lots of moving parts with Uber x Hertz, but this guy's default demeanor single-handedly ensured I'll avoid Hertz as a company nationwide/worldwide at all costs going forward. Beyond that awful dude, they rented me a car that wasn't eligible for Uber but it took them two days to figure out that was their fault and then had me drive back to swap it out for a car that had *many* problems, including a key fob that only worked sometimes causing me to be locked out of the vehicle and unable to use it multiple times. Hertz corporate issued a partial refund but I will never, ever, ever, ever, ever go to this place again.

Yes well pass on all that. For clarity on the work that they actually did for me, it was fairly priced but all the other things I was offered. Yeah I could have spent $1000 for a $12 filter a few sprays of intake cleaner and $50 worth of fluids.

He immediately drove the car to the garage. I waited outside for around five minutes. Then he returned with a report that said "pass". I was good to go. On my way home, I noticed my check engine light was on, it was not on when I arrived at the shop. However, after a short drive down the road it went away on its own. Got into an accident during a snowstorm (I am okay, thank you!) and needed to have my car towed…read more The Windsor PD called for the tow truck and I have to say I had a really positive experience. The individual who towed my car was very nice and concerned for my safety. It was actively snowing outside and he ensured I got home safely and didn't stand outside in the cold. When my insurance adjustor called the following day to review the estimate on my car, he informed me that my car was being kept indoors and not outside in the snow. The adjustor had gone to other lots in the same day where he had to unearth vehicles from under the snow. While this was my first (And hopefully, only) experience with Mike's, the adjustor told me that anytime he goes to look at a car in their lot, he is impressed with their kindness, promptness and overall care. I spoke with them today when I had to arrange for my car to be towed to a collision center and then person I spoke with was also very friendly and took care of things quickly. Getting into an accident is an inherently crappy situation but it's nice to know there are people out there who can extend grace and kindness during a difficult time!
