She didn't want to make any changes to it but was sure the dales person at the store would try and pressure her to resize it, Joe did not do that. Items Purchased: Engagement Ring Wife's Wedding Ring My Wedding Ring I was referred by my friend to this place. Joe was the first person to approach me once I walked in the office. Joe was very friendly and kinda showed me everything. Since I had no idea what I was doing, he explained the different colors, sizes and cuts. I picked a ring that i really like but did not pull the trigger and buy it. A few months went by and I was finally ready to make my purchase. Joe remembered me by name and was helping me again. I asked to see the same ring I saw a few months back. To my surprise the ring was discontinued. I believe it was called past, present future ring. I was devistated! I started looking at other options but nothing was jumping out at me. Joe said, let me make a phone call to my jewler and see what I can do. I had a seat on the couch and started watching the movie they had playing in the office. Joe's coworker came over and asked me if I wanted water or a snack. He was also very polite. Joe also let me know that because it was a special order that I would have to wait a little longer than normal to get the ring which I had no problem doing. Fast forward, I came back to see Joe to purchase my wife's wedding ring. Again, Joe remembered my name and we went to work looking for the perfect ring. I had my wife's engagement ring with me at the time. Joe showed me all kind of options to match up my wife's engagement ring and wedding. I recently purchased a cross a couple of days before Christmas, I paid for it over the phone and went to pick it up. The saleswoman put it in a box and I was ready to leave after talking with the owner. I was ready to leave and asked for my receipt and Joe the owner went to look for it and opened my purchase. I was told there was a mistake after confirming my purchase the day before with the manager and saleswoman. Well he grabbed it away after I had paid for it. Then he walked away, I stood there stunned he didn't offer an apology or offer a compromise. I told him it wasn't my fault and he should honor the sale and he just ignored me and helped someone else. I just stood there stunned and dismayed. This cross was a gift for my daughter and now to late to purchase something for her in time for Christmas that's what's very sad. After searching several jewelry stores I was baffled at the price difference and quality between OC area diamond "factory" stores. With a very narrow diamond search of a shape, size, clarity, ratio, with a GIA certification I found myself shopping for a $?,000 ring. Then I found Diamond Direct. Finally, I just had my Grandmother's ring done for my mother. A new shank was needed, a diamond needed to be replaced and the two rings needed to be sized. I just received it and I am so pleased with the work. I wanted it for Mother's Day and I received it way ahead of time. Had bad experience with this jeweler. We left a sapphire and diamond ring to have a diamond replaced that had fallen out. Work was supposed to be done in the store and ready next day. Received call next day that ring was ready but was late in day and I said would pick up next day. When I went to pick up next day ring was not there, it had been sent to L.A. with another ring we were having work done. Waited two more days to get ring back and when I brought it home and gave to wife she freaked out. The diamond had been replaced with a diamond not appropriate to the ring. The two diamonds next to it were obviously changed and replaced with grey diamonds. My wife and I both spoke to Joe and were told that that was impossible and the other diamonds were not switched. We were also having work done on my wife's wedding ring and using diamonds from another ring we had purchased there. We had all work stopped and it took another three days to get wedding ring back because it was somewhere in L.A. and person who had it was in an accident and not available to open safe. Ring was returned three days later and we got a full refund but what happened to the two diamonds? We thought the jeweler that originally made ring for us had retired but it turns out he just moved his store. We brought the sapphire ring to him. He verified that two of the diamonds adjacent to the stone that fell out were not original to the ring and were considered gray diamonds. The only jewelers who ever had possession of this ring were the original jeweler in Orange who designed the ring and Diamonds direct, so where are my two diamonds?? Somewhere in L.A/ I guess. read more
